Got a bit bored and looked up the crew sizes of the various ships that appeared in TLJ, the total manifest across all first order ships was about 4,900,000. and the total manifest of resistance troops was about 2000(?) (not certain).
My conclusion from this is that the First order were extremely prolific kidnappers and or the remaining imperial troops that formed the first order were very "prosperous" |

Episode 8 is far from great in my opinion, but I still take it over the prequels and Episode 7. |
The only Star Wars related thing I'm excited for these days is the upcoming TLJ re-edit by Ivan Ortega of YouTube. The trailer for it is already out for those that are interested.

Looks interesting but it’s from JJ Abrams. I won’t get my hopes up.

Nope, still not interested.

Yeah trailer wasn't all too interesting. I might go see it anyway just to wrap up/close the sequel trilogy.
In other news, EA is making another Star Wars game. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. And get this, no microtransactions, entirely single player/story focused. EA. If this is true, you finally learned your lesson. However, this is still EA. They've had a huge terrible track record in recent years. No microstransaction may mean "a shitload of paid DLC". Plus there was the whole debacle with Battlefront 2's microtransactions prior to and after launch. So imma press the doubt button. The trailer for it looks good but i'm gonna wait and see what legitimate, non-shill reviews come out |
EA has not been good in over 15 years. So I have very low hopes on them making a good Star Wars game.

The cinematic trailer looks impressive, I'm just waiting to see what the gameplay will be like before I decided if I wanna dive into it or not. They really need to hit a home run with this after the Battlefront 2 fiasco. |

O_O
Awesome |
Meh

That trailer just screams of "I CLAPPED WHEN I SAW IT!"
And like Disney is desperate to get people to still like Star Wars after killing it with TLJ. |

That gimmicky-ass lightsaber though :lol
I hope she takes one half into each hand and uses it like garden shears :lol Don't care much about the movie; this is where it’s at for me with Star Wars: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aOC8E8z_ifw |

I still haven’t seen TLJ!

TLJ is a good film, Star Wars is still huge, saying stuff like it "killed" Star Wars is just being bitter at this point.

On the other... the Kenobi book is so damn good, I fear the show might not live up to my expectations. Quote:
When I was a child I loved watching the prequels on the big screen, I don't care how many adults hated them back then. Quote:

I just... Eh. I'm not feeling Rise of Skywalker. Something feels very off and it feels a lot like The Mouse trying to have its cake and eat it too, which is a much larger discussion for another time, thread, and possibly forum. |
I can't get hype up for Episode 9 because I didn't like the last two Sequel movies and I dislike JJ as a film maker. I don't like any of his movies other than Star Trek 09 and even that movie has some major issues with it.

Oh, hey, I just realized that lightsaber is a lot like the pair Pong Krell used. I’m sure that had literally nothing to do with it, but, that’s pretty neat actually. Always loved that design.

I still plan on wanting to see TLJ regardless of negative feedback.

So I heard that Disney+ is going to require customers to purchase a 3 year contract if they wish to have access to the content on Disney+.

You can still just pay 7 bucks a month for as long as you’d like, you don't need to commit for a year or longer. |
