In all seriousness though, I just hope it's a good episode. It could go terribly wrong but it could also end up amazingly awesome. |
Wikipedia treating it as a movie

Eh, could mean anything with the way Moffat adores Davison but who knows.
|
Davidson was one of the best Doctors. But sadly I've only seen about one of his episodes, because it's on Netflix. And what I learned watching his Special.
|
Davison's actually my least favourite Doctor. He had some decent stories but his Doctor is too "safe"/bland and every companion he had was either annoying, bland or both. Its only really on the recent audios I've taken a liking to him.
Caves of Androzani however is one of, if not the best regeneration stories. |

If I had to rank Doctors, it would probably go: Pertwee McCoy Tom Baker McGann Eccleston Smith Troughton Hartnell Colin Baker Tennant Davison |

McGann Smith Ecclestone T. Baker Troughton C. Baker Tennant Hartnell Pertwee Davison Bear in mind two things: a) This is a very close list. Otherwise, I'd think bad of Tennant, and that is not a good thing! b) I'm not including McCoy because my only experience with him is 10 minutes of the movie and my documentary in Trial of A Time Lord (which is him raising his eyebrows and clkimbing down a cliff). Also, that poster looks amazing. I really wish we'd get a 5" Hurt figure. |
While I question you having Pertwee down so low (this is meant in jest), its great to see someone rating McGann so highly. He's a superb Doctor.

So, I picked up the new Doctor Who Magazine today. Pretty good issue, and the new comic seems really good. Can't wait for 'Light and the End'.

The BBC should be putting out more than those stupid stings already.

Looks like some of the older episodes may have been rediscovered.

New RT article:
Doctor Who: newly discovered missing episodes to be released for sale this week. I really want this to be true, but I've been hurt before on these darn tales. |

Radio Times has been Tweeting the heck out of that article and it seems they edited the original version and removed the specific numerical reference to two episodes being released.
*GASP* Can it be true? I'd love Troughton eps as he's my favorite Doctor and the old VHS reconstructions can be a little rough to sit through. |
Please let it be real... Please
Meanwhile, in other news, the schedule for the weekend reveals that, on Saturday, Watch (The Rerun Channel that isn't Dave) will be airing Doctor Who: The Companions, Doctor Who Revisited: The First Doctor, and a feature length showing of The Aztecs! (If only I hadn't just borrowed it off a friend) Meanwhile, on Sunday, we get Doctor Who Revisited: The Second Doctor, followed by Tomb of the Cybermen! Yay. Time to clear some Sky+ Space! |
