Cost, options, number of releases, etc, are all variables you have to take note of.

Yet they were acting like all PS4s were coming with one (at its normal price). They aren't. If they didn't believe that, they sure didn't make that clear. Cost and options are important, but we don't even know the cost of this potential bundle anyways, but again, it will be more than just the PS4 alone.

And as you said, there are many variables to take note of - one of them being the headset with the Xbox One. Clearly they disagree, but that's a pretty important inclusion. It's really easy to turn off communications with strangers so you don't hear the rampant idiots, but then without a headset, how would you communicate with anyone you're friends with or partied up with? The headset is something that should have been included with all 360s but just wasn't. It's a good thing it's here on the One.

Feeling bad all day so playing Brutal Legend to cheer me up. I love this game. I know some people hated the RTS combat system but the cast, story and humor are more than enough to make up for it IMO.

I just got the tools from Alex in the new Tomb Raider. The voice acting is pretty bad and the plot's pretty generic, but I like that this game's story is going out there and taking some risks. I'm finding that I'm pretty much only using the bow, pistol and the climbing ax, but maybe that's just me being bad at games. The game is a lot more focused on the crew than I thought it would be. Maybe it's the whole sacrifice vs. loss theme.

Has anyone given Skullgirls a try? I'm considering getting it once the new version with as many new characters comes out.

I'm in a Kingdom hearts mood so i went and finished DDD, Re:Coded and now i'm playing Chain of memories.

I always found the card system in Chain of Memories, to be quite innovative and fascinating.

So I finished Tomb Raider. Pretty great game, but it disappointed me that the story devolved into supernatural stuff instead of having some sort of ultimate explanation. Hoping for a sequel soon. I like this new Lara.

That threw me at first, too, but then I remembered that supernatural elements have been part of Tomb Raider since the beginning. The hyper-realistic tone of the rest of the game and the emotional moments just make them stand out more and feel really wrong. Which is exactly what the game was going for, so it totally worked for me.

I just realized today that why so many girls like Kingdom Hearts, because there's shit in there that appeals to them.

Disney has traditionally been a girl's brand, Girls like anime type stuff and there's one girl and two guys (sort of like a love triangle). All elements of Kingdom Hearts

Seriously though, I'm gonna preorder Kingdom Hearts 1.5 for PS3 relativity soon. And probably buy a new copy of Monster Hunter for 3DS since...... I lost mine....... on vacation. Thanks MH3U save data transfer tool backup!

Same here. Speaking of which, I bought a used PS2 Slim off of ebay for $50. I plan to get Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2, since I have never played them for myself (I played them at friends' houses, but that doesn't count), Persona 3: FES, Shadow of the Colossus. Maybe Persona 4, I watched a Let's Play of it not too long ago, so I'll probably wait on that.

So I've been watching some Nintendo Directs and I'm getting the feeling we're seeing Nintendo become Sega. A company in the last throws of being a Console maker. The Wii slowly declined, the Wii U looks to be going the same way, and all their money is coming from Handhelds. It may come to a point where Nintendo only makes handhelds and third-parties games for other companies.

LOL, Nintendo will make another console after Wii U I can guarantee you that. Everybody in gaming now has to be so fucking unnecessarily negative about everything, especially on the Wii U. I'm not gonna be one of those people who is saying "wait until after holiday 2013" because I own a Wii U a PS3 and a 3DS and I play good fucking games no matter what system. People buy Nintendo systems for Nintendo games, hell the aren't at least Nintendo isn't intentionally running themselves into the fucking ground by having 50 million dollar game budgets for every project and failing to reach that. I say all the systems out now and coming out are all good including the Wii U.

They can make all the consoles they want but that won't help declining console sales. Look at the data, look at the games on the horizon, Nintendo looks nearly exactly how Sega looked a month after the launch of the Dreamcast.

I'm playing in the Olympus coliseum, grinding is only fun in this game.

Say what you want about the Wii U (because its true), but what? The Wii was MASSIVE, even if hardcore gamers hated it. The sales decline was simply because it's been on the market for 7 years.

Popularity on it declined, though. How many people do you know who have a Wii, used it for about three months, then put in a closet for something else?

Regardless, the Wii was by no means a failure at any point in its lifespan so any state Nintendo is in right now is placed solely on the Wii U.

Which is just a Wii HD with a DS controller. You knew they were in trouble when their big reveal game was kareoke.

I still don't think its enough to kill Nintendo though. Despite the early setbacks with the 3DS, they still dominate the handheld market so even if the Wii U proves to be a complete failure they could probably reap enough back to try again.

I realize it sounds like I'm coming down as a Nintendo hater, and I'm not. I loved the NES and SNES, the N64 and The Gamecube was my absolute favorite of the line. And it makes me sad to even think Nintendo could go the way of Sega. The Dreamcast was fun, it was. Still miss Shenmue... Anyway. I really want, more than anything, for Nintendo to do well again. But to do it they have to stop giving us upgrades of the Wii. I know the audiance they're going for is younger. I get it.
And I love me some Zelda and Mario.
But they have to change something quick or else in five years we'll all be saying "Man, remember when Nintendo made systems? Those were awesome times."

I think you misunderstand me. What I was getting at is that they could probably make enough from handhelds to warrant another go at a home console should the Wii U financially flop.

The original DS is one best selling consoles of all time, and the 3DS is shredding the Vita to pieces. They'll be fine providing it isn't publishers that suddenly don't want to touch them.

The next console I really hope has some better titles. Because no game company makes money off consoles, it's all software. My hope is a Zelda launch title, Jet Force Gemini 2, Banjoo Kazooie. Come on Rareware! Come on!

They're the only ones who try to alter the concept of "Gaming" to a major degree. They're the ones who aren't just saying "Graphics" on repeat ad infinitum. Nintendo is doing something wonderful with the WiiU, trying to pull gaming past what it was 30 years ago beyond graphical improvements.
