UltraMan X Episode 13: That was fan-freaking-tastic! I am in the middle of UltraMan Ginga S but damn Shou is still fantastic and I love how he's grown. He's still the ass kicker he was in Ginga S but man this guy is a brutal fighter and I love that about him. This was also my first time seeing UltraMan Victory Knight and that was badass too, I can't wait to see finish Ginga S to see how badass Shou is. Now anyways bringing it back to X, I loved the training sequence with Daichi and Shou and Shou teaching him how to be a stronger UltraMan. I think with how Arisa explained about Shou that Asuna and the others will find out Daichi is X pretty soon. I loved the fight with Asuna and Arisa vs Gina Spectre that was badass, they all could fight amazingly. Love Asuna and Arisa together because I get them confused because they are both awesome and kick ass female characters. I absolutely loved the ending with Hikaru coming in at the end and ready to fight with the other two. All three of them are fighting for the spot of my Favorite UltraMan right now lol. Do Shou and Hikaru have to leave? Can they just stay apart of the show till it finishes? Please? Well I definitely can't wait for more this has just been super awesome right now.

Yeah that was another fun episode, even though I don't know the other 2 Ultraman so the references are completely lost on me.

Still fun, seeing more of Minami Tsukui in action is always nice.

UltraMan Ginga and UltraMan Victory are both awesome characters. I loved UltraMan Ginga and loving UltraMan Ginga S right now, they aren't long shows at all either.

Is UltraMan Ace subbed in English by anyone?

I don't think so. There keep being rumors of all the Chaiyo "owned" series getting a big boxset release in the US, but nothing ever materializes. As far as I know, there are no subbed versions available for Return, Ace, or Taro (although there may be some HK subs floating around out there that I'm not aware of).

Very entertaining. It's the first Ultra-show that I watch but I think it's great.

I've seen all of Ginga S and nearly all of Ginga. But I definitely dig X. It'd be great if in a sequel series, he meets Gaia, Cosmos, Nexus & Mebius. He's all ready met four of his predecessors! The Son of Seven, Max, Ginga & Victory. And I wonder what kind of Ultra will be his partner. Gaia was the first Ultra to have a regular partner. Leo's brother showed up sporadically.

I've fallen an episode or two behind, but I'm really loving it. It really has a lot of the elements that I loved about Max and well-done Ultra in general.

I've been watching through Tsuburaya's official YouTube page.

Those are three of the UltraMen I want to watch lol. UltraMan Jack because I have his UltraAct figure I got from the contest, Ace after Ultra Fight Victory, and Taro because of Ginga. I'll look if there is an HK Subs because if they aren't that bad I am okay with watching them.


Love it so much, especially because of all the guest stars but mainly because Daichi and the XiO team are all very enjoyable characters.

Dunno about subtitles, but there's an English dub that aired in Malaysia or somewhere. I have no idea if it's any good though.

It's fun as hell. Bums me out that more people aren't watching it.

UltraMan X Episode 14: That was so awesome! Especially after finishing UltraMan Ginga S right before I watched this episode. The three of them are a perfect trio they all worked in sync together. I loved after Arisa used the Ultlaser they had how she admired their technology because they definitely could have used something like that in Ginga S. Asuna and Arisa taking down Mecha Gomora with Cyber Gomora was awesome. Hikaru and Shou still have the moves and their regular fight scenes were awesome. X, Ginga, and Victory all kicked ass and it was great seeing them fight with their weapons and also close that rift. I swear after the second half of Ginga S they remembered everything else Ginga could do lol. Also it was great to see about the past UltraMen who have achieved Daichi's dream so that he can also succeed as well. Also it's good to have Hikaru and Shou back to their normal hair colors then their switched colors in Ultra Fight Victory lol. That was a fantastic crossover and I hope that maybe we can get them all back again for the finale or something and I mean all the previous UltraMen who appeared: Zero, Max, Victory, and Ginga as well as anyone else who may guest star in future episodes. (I'm hoping for Nexus my other favorite right now). Well the recap episode is next week but still this show has been fun so I don't mind seeing more of it again. Well I can't wait for more, I definitely hope we get more past UltraMen in this series.

Yup Ultraman X 14 was awesome. Great fights. The X-Lugger is still "eh", I hate it when they have to show Daichi swiping that thing all the time.

Sad that Gina already left the show, but we got some good action with her in this episode.

I hope we get some more non-crossover action next time. I like crossovers and all, but for someone like me who isn’t watching a lot of Ultra this feels kinda pointless. I know it isn't, but it feels like it to me.

Next week is another fucking clip show though, good lord. This show is so short and they have to waste 2 episodes for those lame clip shows? That sucks.

As in shipping them? Yeah they fit together I think, the show gave us some hints on that, but if it actually becomes a thing in the show remains to be seen. Don’t know if Ultra even does romance between protagonists or romance at all.

They do! Daigo & Rena not only got married, but they had two kids named Hikari & Tsubasa! Musashi & Ayano got married & had a son named Sora. I think Kaito & Mizuki also got married. I have to check.

Yeah, Kaito and Mizuki got married. Their grandson was an astronaut in Max's epilogue.

I think they are good together, I mean I liked Misuzu/Hikaru a lot so I mean if they don't go into it like that it's fine with me too.

I see Hikaru & Misuzu becoming a couple. She was the first to know he was Ginga. She befriended & named Mana. And you can sense the attraction between the two of them in their scenes.

Return, Ace, and Taro are all readily available on Malaysian DVD via eBay, SkyDVD, etc. I have the Return set, it has HK style English subtitles, but the video looks quite nice. The subs are not great by any stretch, but so far they seem good enough to watch and understand the show. I am assuming that Ace and Taro are similar quality.

I don't mind poor subtitles because frankly, most Ultra shows are straightforward enough, and when I was first starting to watch imports, your choice was raw or nothing. So any subtitles is a plus for me.

That's good to know. I don't mind poor subtitles either. I watched through Kamen Rider's X and Super-1 with not the greatest subtitles and I love the hell out of those shows.

Dont even say feels. I hate feels. This is raw emotion portraying something unique I haven't seen in an Ultraman yet. Hell, MAX didn't solve the problem!

Max is such an amazing show. And if that episode moved you emotionally, prepare for an entirely different experience with the next one (which is, for my money, probably the funniest episode of a tokusatsu ever).

I just was not expecting such a convincing child actor.
she was great and combined with both the final transformation of the monster and the dialogue, I just couldn't handle it.

That's good I caught those as I was on the torrent site I go to.

UltraMan X Episode 15: I love that they gave a focus episode to Captain Kamiki, because I've been wondering more about some of the other members of the XiO team. I feel so bad for him about having to give up time with his daughter and even didn't get to see his wife during her final moments because he had to go deal with the situations going on long ago. That it also caused a rift between him and his daughter made me feel worse for him. I am happy that he made it to his Daughter's wedding even if it was afterwards and got to see and walk her down the aisle I think that great. Also the whole XiO team wanting him to go see his daughter and them wanting to take care of everything was great too. Though the Captain fighting with Cyber Gomora was totally badass and awesome. I also enjoyed that they aren't afraid to let Daichi take a back seat to one of the supporting characters and they told an amazing episode with it. I can't wait for more the behind the scenes at XiO looks like a fun episode.

I'm waiting until it's on YouTube, which will be this Friday, to watch the episode.

UltraMan X Episode 16: This was a fantastic and fun episode. I really enjoyed the documentary style episode because it showed more from all the characters. I loved learning more from everyone and seeing more from everyone. I think Dr. Maki er...Captain Kamiki (I didn't know it was him till last week) was amazing again this week seeing how he felt about what was going on and his interrogation techniques. Rui was also a lot of fun especially with calling UltraMan, SparkltraMan lol. I also loved how Daichi had to dodge the camera crew to transform to keep his secret identity and that X didn't want to be rude to the camera crew lol. I like how it showed what else the XiO team does besides just fight the giant monsters and how everyone else besides the UltraMan gets stuff done too. I can't wait for more of this show because all the characters are really fun and it's just been really awesome so far.
