I'm actually trying to track down a BotCon 2002 Cyclonus (The Beast Machines Ultra Jetstorm repaint) to repurpose as Cybertron Cyclonus to go with my Cybertron Leader-Class Galvatron and Cybertron Scourge (Blue "Cryo" repaint).

Movie #5 has a title- "Transformers: The Last Knight."

Did Dinobot get a masterpiece?

So I'm curious, what do people think: Combiner Wars or Unite Warriors? I'd like to know before I delve into either.

Also I can't tell if I'm more interested in Combiner Wars or Titans Return. How about yourselves?

With CW you get some interesting redesigns of classic characters, plus new ones like Alpha Bravo, Offroad and the Torchbearers who form Victorion.

While on UW's side you get strictly G1 looks and no new characters, but you do get Armada Thrust, Prime Breakdown, Wandering Roller, (James has stated that W. Roller isn't the same as IDW Roller FYI) and Starscream when you get the Grand Galvatron set.

Really it's apples and oranges depending on your preferences. I'm more for CW since you get more characters at a cheaper price point, but Titans Return looks so damn good.

I so want a Highbrow when they come out.

Uh... A year and a half in, some combiners regardless of which side you're looking at are going to be pricey to get. I wouldn't at all take it as an even split either. Totally pick-and-choose.

For example, I think Unite Warriors Menasor looks like utter crap and much prefer the Combiner Wars one, but can't wait to get my UW Bruticus in a few weeks.

So which combiners are you really most interested in getting?

As for Titans Return - yeah there's a fair number of toys there I'm looking forward to.

Yeah; UW Drag Strip is too much yellow for my tastes. Hasbro had the right idea having magenta break up his color palette since it makes the toy look more like an official TF and less like a knockoff.

Truth be told I'm trying to get a Mirage so I can complete my Optimus Maximus. We may just end up ordering him from Amazon since right now my Target only has the Sky Reign limbs.

I figured as much. Being a noob to Transformers I definitely wanted to do some asking around before I got into the lines. I'm only getting some select Autobots but can't decide if I'd want the Combiners or not. Most likely just the Optimus Maximus components & maybe Victorion. Only because I love her concept & look forward to reading about her in the IDW books.

But I ask about Titans Return since it appears to me that prior to CW there wasn't too much of a gimmick subline in Generations. Just modernized G1 characters. Now we've got a niche following another niche & it really attracted me to the franchise. Vehicles & robots & stuff are cool & all but I wanted to see more concepts from them. And these two lines give me just that. It makes me wonder when TR is over what they'll do next aside from the obvious Last Knight movie stuff.

So Transformers 5 is currently filming about 10 minutes away from where I live. I passed by there on my way to the DMV and I couldn't see shit.

I live in Maryland and I remember when the third movie was filmed near by DC. I remember when the car crashes into real police SUV during Transformers 3 filming cause a lot of busy traffic near by my area.

Barricade looks amazing. His alt mode anyway. Don't remember what happened to the guy in DOTM, but all I know is there's gonna be a sweet ass cop car in TF5, regardless if he's evil or not.

Actually yes. Megatron/Galvatron is my favorite Decepticon(s) so anything pertaining to them really gets me excited.

Also, @Topic: It's confirmed that the Takara release of Titans Return Powermaster Prime will be retooled to properly resemble Super Ginrai. A new truck cab, new robot mode arms, shoulders, feet and chest have been confirmed by people who attended Tokyo Toy Show. Release is this winter. Sign me up!

And? That's no reason to always go into every single MP-related discussion and be "Where's Galvatron?", because one, no one cares if you wait for Galvatron and two, its spam.

It's great that you love Galvatron so much and one day there will be an MP Galvatron for you to fangasm over, but I don’t see how spamming this shit until then will do you any favors.

Won't happen, at least not as a "variant" because Tigatron's beast mode is too different. They'll have to either retool Cheetor or make a new mold entirely.

Cheetor looks amazing! Probably won't pick him up myself but I'm loving how these Beast Wars MPs are turning out, makes me really excited for any Predacons that follow these.

He looks pretty cool. Beast Wars was a bit too early for me, but I'm happy for all those who want him.

It has the puffy face, the gut and butt guns and the standard MP face change opinions. Once we see this painted Beast Wars fans are going to be happy since MP Primal turned out quite well.

Also has anyone here seen Lynxmaster yet? Guess Takara listened to the people wanting a CW Ratchet and replaced Smokescreen with the Lost Light's grumpy doctor. Not overly sure if Ratchet's the best choice for this set, but Sky Reign's a much cooler name; at least to me.

I could see us getting a potential Transmetal Cheetor out of this too.

I was initially hoping for a quick Tigatron retool, but the beast mode is just too perfect as Cheetor. I'm actually rather happy over that.

Also, can someone point out the differences between the alternate robot faces?

The one he's wearing is a determined/angry face, the left one on display is a smiley face and the right one is a shocked/scared face.

I can see the differences between the one he has on the alternatives, but for the others, I'm just gonna have to take your word on them...
