Why does this fight scene seem so familiar? Oh yea... this is where the first and final episode of Decade happened...

It's funny; I loved the suits, cast, opening sequence, and general concept of Decade, but the very thought of Zi-O going back to the failures of that show fills me with mild nerd-dread.

With that said, it could be argued that Gaim revisited quite a bit of Ryuki, and for me, it fixed all the problems I'd had with that show. Since it's sounding a lot like Zi-O is rehashing plot beats from Decade (our hero is a villain in the future! let's revisit all the old Rider shows! ominous tidings of upcoming cataclysm!), I can only hope that Zi-O ends up doing for Decade what Gaim did for Ryuki.

Zi-O's bike reminds me of Acrobatter. I wish it could talk too. I love sentient machines.

There wasn't in Den-O, so no, probably not. As I've told you before, Kamen Rider - as a Japanese kids show - is more likely to reference Japanese media than anything else.

Further more, Zi-O - like Gokaiger before it, is an anniversary series first, and anything else second. The primary thing it will be referencing...is Kamen Rider.

I personally didn't think they'd reference anything either but it would be a pleasant surprise. I mean they did reference batman with the rogue spinoff episode titles.

Here's a conversion I've seen popped up in a few places. After Zi-O, would you like to see Takaiwa continue his role as main suit actor or do you think he should step down and let someone new takeover? The argument I've seen for the later is that Takaiwa is clearly not as agile as he used to be and that it's starting to affect the choreography.

I wonder if they'll bring up something from Prince of Persia? Like the Two Thrones with the Dark Prince. AND maybe... from Terminator Genisys with John Connor turned into a Terminator.

Probably not. Honestly they may not make any references to anything other than other riders. Sure the plot could be similar but that might be as far as it goes. Plus they've done the whole "the good guy is the guy that is gonna destroy or rule the world" so many times, they're prettyuch experts.

I think Takaiwa could do maybe 2-3 more series before he passes the torch to someone new.

I want him to step down. I initially felt what I saw of Ghost's fight scenes were bad because of the budget. Then I saw Ex-Aid with it's CGI jumps. Now with Build, I see the guy's gotten so fat that there's a pic floating around of Build Genius with a different suit actor and it is so goddamn roomy. I think it's a contract thing but the dude's been doing this for over a decade and clearly isn't fit to do this anymore

To be fair, that suit actor could just have a smaller build than Takaiwa, but yeah he's definitely gotten up there years. Do I see him retiring from being "Mr. Kamen Rider" anytime soon? Not really. Should he retire? Again, not really, because I think the lackluster fight choreography as of late is more to blame for the fights not being as good as they once were rather Takaiwa's age IMHO.

So, Heisei Generations Forever? Honestly, the fact they called the Build x Ex-Aid movie FINAL confused me, considering we still had the 2018 Rider. I was fully expecting this to be called HEISEI GENERATIONS: EPILOUGE, so I'm not too suprised

Well, I like that a lot more than I hoped I would. The future is looking grim for my finances.

...and there went my hopes for a cooler-sounding driver. I want to find whoever is in charge of these increasingly-shrill Driver sounds and shake that person silly. When Fourze and Wizard seem tame by comparison... (I know some people are into it, and I'm happy for them. But UGH.)

Get ready for Heisei Generations: It's Not Actually Heisei Anymore But We Couldn't Think Of Another Name next year, I guess. Final kind of wasted some of the returning actors, so I'm not super pumped about this one. Guess it would be nice if they could get Philip back?

Lot of actors from previous KR are busy right now though. Don't know if we can expect an appearance.

Ghost, Ex-Aid, Decade, Den-O are busy.
I want to bet 555 (always around with anniversary thing) and Blade (appeared in GoRider 1 year ago as well as decade years ago so why not) can appear

I can see Drive's actor coming back, after not being able to join Heisei Gens Final.

I was going the actors from Heisei phase 1 to make a comeback appearance in the movie.

Kuuga-Decade

Joe Odagiri has said he'd 'come back for a Kuuga reunion movie, but not for anything else', so he's not coming back, certainly.

Toshiki Kasshu, Takamasa Suga, Kento Handa, and Takayuki Tsubaki would all come back, schedules allowing.

Shigeki Hosokawa is involved in a court case, so he's not likely, either.

Hiro Mizushima's expressed interest in returning, despite never having done so before.

Takeru Satou's agency will likely not let him return at this point, with how famous he is, although the Taros will likely make an appearance.

Koji Seto...has never returned, so who knows.

Masahiro Inoue and Renn Kiriyama would likely come back, schedules allowing - although Masaki Suda likely wouldn't.

Shu Watanabe, Sota Fukushi, Shunya Shiraishi, Gaku Sano, Ryouma Takeuchi, and Shun Nishime would also all likely return, if able.

I'm not sure about Hiroki Iijima.

And Atsuhiro Inukai is likely contracted for it, like Koji Seto was for Decade.

As great as Godai was, I'd like to see characters like Ichijo or Enokida reappear.

Wonder if Zi-O causes a Flashpoint, Ichigo would be the Jay Garrick mentor to him. Reasoning with him on the decisions he made with messing time.

Both are busy with a musical named Shirotora (with Ryuga from GARO as well), so not sure if they are available if the musical is on tour.

Decade's Masahiro Inoue is busy with his own GARO Spin-off, starting October on TV (and unlike Kamen Rider, GARO asks a lot from their protag on a physical level for fighting scenes as they rarely have body doubles for their impressive choreographies).
So don't know if he can be available enough to shoot a KR movie and a GARO show at the same time.
I would expect a short appearance in the show, because anniversary + the upgrade thing, but I would not expect him to that present.
