Well, in Doctor Who related stuff, there was a Doctor Who round on Pointless today. It was A) Actors who played "The Master"; B) Companions of the Fourth Doctor; C)Titles of episodes from 2005

I got at least 3 answers, and not I feel like a massive nerd. I don't care, but now I'm ready for In the Forest of the Night.

Were any of them Pointless answers? I want to guess a couple of Master ones were, but I dunno if it was restricted to just on TV :lol

Okay, for Master actors I'd bet Peter Pratt or Gordon Tipple to be the pointless answers (although if audios count I'd throw in Alex Macqueen as well). Tom Baker companions is a bit trickier, so I'd say Harry Sullivan is the lowest (maybe Nyssa because she was only in 2 stories and thus more associated with the Fifth?)

2005 eps...I'd say The Long Game or Boomtown are probably the most forgettable namewise.

Actors for the companions. Don't worry, I screwed up on that too at first. But both your Masters are pointless. You only missed Geoffrey Beevers. As for the stories, Dalek was pointless, as weel as The Girl in the Fireplace and Bad Wold, so you're probably right.

Beevers was pointless too? I left him out because I expected at least one person to get him :lol

Double post but...

Hands down the worst episode of the season for me. The plot was decent but minuscule, the kids were mostly awful and the dialogue completely cringeworthy. Not impressed at all.

Next week however should be VERY interesting.

Not sure how to feel about that episode. It was well acted, for the most part, and Capaldi really seems to do well around children. But the feel good, unexplained reappearance of the elder sister seemed like pointless, tacked on sentimentality. It wasn't unexpected, though I sort of expected the Doctor to fetch her. Next week's episode looks kind of awful. It seems to harken back to the tone of stories like The Wedding of River Song and some of the more bombastic crap Moffat has put out in the last couple of years. The effects looked a bit off as well. In particular, the falling Doctor looked horrible! I don't know. I think the glory days of series 8 may be behind us already. :shrug:

Edit: Also, STOP ADDING MYSTERIES TO CLARA'S BACKGROUND. Enough is enough. She finally started being a character this series and now it looks like we're regressed into this usual Moffat garbage.

It was ok this weeks but the only thing that I hated with this episode was child's they where really annoying evry thing else I enjoyed but God thoes kids. Next we'd I am curious about it.

I really enjoyed the latest episode and I thought the kids were hilarious. The remarks they made, I think I laughed more than most episodes this series so far. :D
