I didn't mind the kids this week; the Ruby girl was actually very amusing most of the time. All the stuff with the main girl's mom and sister was incredibly tacked on, though, especially that ending. It wasn't the best episode of the season, but I still enjoyed it. I'm very intrigued by the trailer for next week, too.

Firstly, I loved this episode. Secondly.. From the teaser for next week? CLARA IS MISSY! o-o Boosh

Well, that wasn't too bad. THe kids were amusing (*gasp!*), even though the feel-good plot felt stupid and tacky. Although I did call the trees being good halfway through the episode. Not sure If that's a pro or a con. And not I can't stop thinking about Jabe the Tree Person. Frick
The down side though, always seems to be the final few minutes. Especially the next time trailer. Dear lord, if you're right Sentai, then I say we go give Moffat a call. Doubly so if this is just stupid nonsense, just like Wedding. |
Yeah I hated this one. A good bit.

This week's episode felt a bit weak but alrightish to me, a little derpy on the maguffin trees also the lights and stuff associated with them felt way to much like the sentient trees in that one Matt Smith Xmas episode to have not gotten a mention by the Doctor in the episode.
As for the clip of next weeks episode if Clara never existing isn't a mislead I'm going to find it really hard to keep taking the series seriously until Moffat is gone. I really wish the higher ups would put a dang leash on the guy already or just let him go and bring in a replacement. I really enjoy Capaldi's portrayal of the Doctor this season and heck Clara was really getting good but man the Moffat factor is really hurting the series at this point. |

I loved these in the magazine, so I know what I'm asking for at christmas. Seriously. Even if you haven't a care about the book, the comics on the page are worth a look at. |
Yeah, I'm looking forward to that book too :D

Why is everyone so down on the forest episode? I loved this episode. It's right behind Flatline as my favorite episodes of the season so far.

Because apparently even children's book authors can't write children realistically.
"When I get scared, I forget my anger management!" Really, I mean really? That, and there's the whole issue of it being a class of special needs kids yet all of their issues were pretty much played up for laughs. Well, that and everyone's (except the Doctor of course) answer to Maebh issues seemed to be "throw her on medication and everything will go away!" Not the best example really. I don't like child actors on Doctor Who particularly but I see the point of them, and Maebh's interactions with the Doctor in the cold opening did give me a glimmer of hope. |
