A friend recommended Steven Universe. Personally, all of the advertisements made it look bad even for standard current Cartoon Network garbage. But he's pretty adamant about it being good.

Anyone have thoughts on it?

I've honestly never even heard of it.

It's ok from what i've seen, but i haven't found the time to sit down and watch it.

It's quite imaginative and Rebecca "Writer and Storyboard Artist of Adventure Time" Sugar is clearly trying to make something smart, fun and entertaining unlike Peter Browngardt or Daneboe, talentless hacks.

I need to finish this series.

I've watched a few episodes of it as well. There's a good amount of lore and at its heart is a comedic human drama...with near immortal warriors.

Watched Omniverse episode 44 today. Season 5 may have had a slow start but now it's kicking ass!

Kai Green returned in this one. As someone who supported Ben/Julie it's weird how the two parallel each other.

Julie started out being very supportive of Ben, but when he saved the universe from the Highbreed and when his S.I.D got revealed his ego grew to a HUGE level and while he's mostly a true hero it does pop up now and again. Seeing as Julie is not part of a Plumber family I think the strain got to her and one bad phone call after Ultimate Alien later they broke up on somewhat admirable terms.

Kai on the other hand is the granddaughter of a Magister level Plumber who only saw Ben as a pet when they were kids. Six years later there's still some bitterness from that and both Ben and Kai alternate between being lovely dovey and snappy at each other, but as the episode ended she did kiss him on the cheek.

With Julie seeing a nice guy and Kai being back in the picture I wonder who Ben's going to end up with. Your thoughts guys?

Man I had no idea Omniverse has been going for so long!

Ben 10 show tend to go on for 52 episodes except Alien Force which only did 46. Omniverse is about to reach 50 in a few weeks and it should go to 80 if all goes well.

As you could tell I'm been a Ben 10 fan from the very beginning when Ben was indeed 10. I've heard a rumor that CN has something planned for Ben 10's 10th Anni but until more news pops up I'll err on the side of caution and wait.

Ben 10 is about the only original Western Cartoon I can honestly say I'm a fan of, well that and Generator Rex. It makes me sad that there is a distinct lack of original action cartoons, or at least ones that are able to last more than five minutes. Honourable mentions to Motor City, Kaijudo and Slugterra.

Alien Force was my favourite season, I wasn't a big fan of the original shows goofiness even if I liked the aliens and the animation style a lot more. I liked that Alien Force took the best parts of the Ben 10 concept but let it grow up as well, especially Kevin, Alien Force Kevin is my waifu. Second favourite would be Ultimate Alien as it had some really cool moments "SONIC DOOM!" but I still found that season pretty underwhelming overall.

Been meaning to watch Omniverse but I seemed to only ever find crap TV rips online and it put me off.
