X 9 Logan came in yesterday.
Shang Chi And The Legend Of The 10 Rings is the final Phase 4 movie to watch that's open. Spider Man 8 No Way Home on DVD. Will fill in the remaining Phase 4 movies in January on DVD for my library. I own Black Widow and No Way Home for Phase 4. A collectors set had movies for Phase 1 - 3. Will get singles later when I get a disk book. Wanted to make sure no movies were missing from MCU. The set had Iron Man 1 - Black Widow in order on 13 disks. I'm watching X 2 X Men United next after X Men. I had gotten the 2018 Tomb Raider movie and will see it after The Cradle Of Life. Watching in order. |

With MCU Phase 4 out of the way catching up some franchise main line movies in 2023.
Missed a few X movies. Also watching Ranger shows on Shout Factory DVD up to Magi in 2023. Magi not yet released. The only Spidy movie missed is Into The Spider Verse. For Bat Man , Bat Man / TMNT. I own all the Bat Man movies dating back to the 1st 90s Bat Man. |
It's Boxing Day now over here in Australia. I got a job position as a Boxing Day casual assistant at a duty-free store in the heart of Melbourne and, well, although the pay is really good for a casual job (I'll have enough to pay for a year's subscription for Crunchyroll and HiDive next year and still have some left over) I'll be working for 10 hours.

These are the Christmas gifts. My dad accidentally got me a PS5 game without the console. I?ll just take it back and get something else tomorrow. I didn?t get a PS5 because the bundles are expensive and that?s the only option available. I?m still happy with my gifts regardless.

Pre MCU movies Fantastic 4 Those 3 are on Disney Plus so for Pre MCU I would only need to see Ghost Rider Ghost Rider 2 Blade Trilogy to finish up Pre MCU. |
My haul so far has been 50 euros and a major snuggle session with my adorable little kitty cat. Only really eventful part of the day is finally starting Hunter x Hunter which has been a blast so far

With my VHS movie library 100 % upgraded to DVD I'm going to snag 5 Man on the 30th from Shout Factory.
Recently I upgraded my 007 movies and The Land Before Time movies from VHS. I'm not materialistic myself but I do get movies as cheap as I can. For some idiotic reason Paramount + doesn't carry the first 10 Star Trek movies. I group ordered them and also got the 2009 movie and Star Trek XIII Beyond. Paramount + has all the Star Trek TV shows. Hence the idiotic bit with the movies. I read about this on at least two sites. Trekmovie web has mentioned it as well. It seems that physical disks will soon be the only way to see the Star Trek movies. When I buy a movie I do it for accessibility in case no stream service carries it. HBO Max is ruthless for dropping movies as well. No longer can you find Fantastic Beasts 1 and 2 unless Peacock picks them up. |
Just found out that half of Crunchyroll's library isn't available outside of the US. Furthermore, it seems using a VPN might not be enough to access Crunchyroll's full library if you're not using a good VPN.
This...puts a bit of a dent in my plans and desire to legally support anime... |

I mean. If the anime is not legally available in your county’s crunchyroll, then you are supporting it the same if you subscribed to crunchyroll or sailed the seven seas.
Anime makes all their money off of blu rays or merch right? And if they are making money off of streaming it would be from a big money mark, like Netflix or Amazon, right? I’m just trying to say that you should not go out of your way to give these people your money if they don’t want it. I would be mad about that too. Not trying to minimize the raw deal you are getting with crunchyroll in your country. |

My shift on my casual job tomorrow has been cancelled out of the blue. I don't think I'm fired as they didn't tell me to not come on Thursday but I guess I'll find out when I show up on Thursday (apparently casual jobs can suddenly fire you without a notice of termination here in Australia, dunno if that's the case anywhere else).
For some reason I taste absolute biterness (despite being a self-proclaimed couch potato). I guess it's because I won't get paid? It's not too bad though, I'm not in desperate need of money and I'm still trying to find out what I'm good at so that I know what to work as in the future. But yeah, still a bit disappointing. I feel like I've climbed one more rung up the ladder of adulthood. |
Movies on DVD are about access.
Paramount + claims to be the home of everything Star Trek. But what I've noticed is that lately regardless of the feed all you see is stuff that feed produces. I wonder how long it will be before Paramount decides to drop TOS , TNG , DS9 , Voyager and Enterprise and the other stuff not produced by Paramount +? Also HBO Max has dropped a ton of stuff. Netflix may have enough of their own in house shows and movies that even if they lost everything else they could still keep going. But no feed will carry any show or movie not made in house So we could lose a lot of pre Paramount + series even though produced by CBS years ago. The same holds true for other feeds. This is the main reason I buy TV series and movies on DVD. (Some of them) In the case of X men it helps to keep track of the overall number of movies and I indicate if a movie relaunches and what not. X Men has done 11 main line movies. Some movies had restarted more than once. |

Having upgraded my VHS library to DVD 2023 will be more recent movies. Also a few next chapter installments I might be missing.
I now need to see what new movies I'm missing from my DVD library if I can find them cheap. I'll have to see as soon as the 30th is here. Combined a night at the movies will run me 50 bucks for food , gas and the tickets so I get new movies on DVD when I can. I did get The Bat Man and Dominion on DVD. Also Matrix 4. Missing the new Top Gun movie. I hope to see the other 13 pre Zyu sets on DVD soon. Jet Man next. I saw one episode of 5 Man on You Tube. It looked decent enough to warrant watching it. I had heard of the violent nature of Jet Man but will likely watch anyways in hope that we get more pre Zyu. The funny part is that Shout gets enough disk viewers to bring the next set over. |
Will be interesting to see a Call of Duty Live-Action series.

Five Man is being processed so this will be interesting to see a pre Zyu start to finish. Quite a few people hated Five Man but they were hoping it would bring another one over.
Looks like I might be watching Jet Man next in a few days as well having seen a few minutes on Shout Factory TV. |

Star Trek TMP - Beyond came in with the first Kelvin movie
on the way in so I finished upgrading VHS to DVD. I already own Into Darkness. I expanded my movie library with all 7 Police Academy and all 7 Smokey And The Bandit movies. Got all 3 Power Rangers movies and upgraded Turbo - A Power Rangers Movie to DVD. Already own MMPR The Movie but will swap in a fresh disk for it. In February I can start adding new movies. X 8 Apocalypse is shipping in on the 2nd try. |
