Yes, but anyone who has ever heard of Spider-Man knows that with great power comes great responsibility. Yuusuke could have been excellent as a secondary Rider (since DiEnd was too busy being a jerk, bless him).

This Ryuki 13 riders thing is weird. It's quite obviously an alternate story, but already I feel it's not taking advantage of it. Ryuki is actually someone else first before passing the deck on to Kido, but we don't really get his story. Why bother making Ryuki someone else first if you're not gonna give him his own story? What was wrong with how Ryuki actually started?

It's funny how Dragon Knight gets ripped on for taking Ryuki and changing everything, but Ryuki seems to have done that itself!

I think the writers legitimately forgot he was Kuuga for a large stretch of the show.

Mostly, though, I have to compare him with the real Yusuke and next to him the Decade one is just shit.

I actually liked that Ryuki embraced it's AU tendencies (Most Kamen Rider movies Pre-Den-O were AU), but I'll agree they were too afraid to truly expand on the possible stories.
Hell, if they were afraid of not using Shinji, they always had Ryuga for his actor to return to play.

I don't think I'll watch 13 Riders. I understand why they eventually ditched the AU concept. It's hard to give a shit when these aren't actually the characters. They're the same names and faces, but not the same people that died various poetic deaths in the show. They're just versions.

compared to the Kuuga one? I can't imagine how bad the Decade one is, then, because Godai is one of the worst Riders ever. He spent the whole show so disconnected from the action, and Kuuga himself, it not only made him.come across as a terrible character but was one of the many reasons why the show was so crap.

the Shinkenger crossover made me love Power Rangers Samurai lol. I loved the Den-O Episodes with it. Decade isn't as god awful as people make it out to be IMHO.

So far Im finding it hard to argue with the negative opinions, now I Fourze at first, so I might end up liking it at the end.

Like I said above, in the first few episodes, its kinda boring, the rest Im not sure yet, though as Im only at 6, though Im still sure about all the AU Riders yet...

Feel free to check out Decade. Just a couple warnings:
1) It spoils the major twists in the series prior to it. So if a show like Faiz or Kiva is on your watch list, I'd recommend finishing them before getting to Decade.
2) You're fine to like it. There are some people here who like it to spite me. But Decade values action, and will stop the plot (What little there is) to make a fight scene flashier. I know you value fun action, but also good characters, so I don't know which side of the split you'll fall on for Decade.

If you want a popcorn flick turned into a TV show, Decade will be right up your alley.

He's pretty much Decade's Shunpei, but minus the clown wardrobe and slapstick.

I think as I've progressed, I've fallen more onto the character side, then the action side. I NEED good fights to enjoy a toku series, but the early OOO episodes or basically the whole of Kabuto that I saw, although fun and action packed, I couldn't enjoy them because I didn't care about the people fighting.

I did plan to watch Faiz, so I'll watch that first.

Lol no, they follow the girl through an underwear shop and the Penguins try the underwear on. They do something fun like that every episode, but I left that moment as my sig specifically.

What VERY little I've seen of Yuuske, I don't see what's so bad about him. Aside from that time he accidentally hit Momotaros not knowing he wasn't a monster, or got a sword up his butt.

It seems obvious with the bra-hat penguin beside him, but yeah I thought the same.

My problem with him was, that Kuuga is like UBER DARK like every episode the death toll goes up in the hundreds and really rubs our face in it. It really is a show where everything is always spiralling out of control, slipping out of our heroes hands who not only can't save everyone, but is lucky to save anyone.

So seemingly, with such a bleak series, we should have a very sympathetic, charismatic, loveable and in many senses classic hero so we can kinda say 'well he is failing, miserably, but look at the turmoil, look at the pain on him, look how hard he is trying, we can't be angry at him the odds are stacked against him, he is suffering too!' etc etc

In reality Godai spent the entire show goofily doing a thumbs up or largely pissing around like playing the piano for school children while his enemies slaughtered about 3/4s of the city and the majority of the police force. And thanks to shitty hax devices like super healing and so on, he just felt completely disconnected from the Rider stuff. Emotionally and physically, I think there was ONCE when he lost his shit throughout the series and so despite being the Rider with perhaps the most amount of blood on his hands, he is flattest most emotionless Rider of them all, having the side characters largely emote the series for him. It made him come across as unsympathetic, uncaring and I hated him and his shitty show.

If you think Haruto is boring, wait until you see Godai, and at least Haruto took a proactive to monster hunting.

Yep. All the Riders Decade encounters are Alternate Universe versions of the characters (Den-O is still in canon, but you don't need to know Den-O's canon to follow it).

A couple more actors return (Such as Wataru from Kiva and Kenzaki from Blade), but Gokaiger this is not.

I just finished W (the series) and I'm starting on W (the movies). The Accel movie isn't really doing much for me so far.

Watched Kabuto episodes 21-25 and love Kagami becoming Gatack, Drake returning, more of Sasword, even Kageyama is becoming more interesting to me, and I just love Tendou and his personality, helping everyone and his sister.

Kabuto 4. Oh what a cold episode that was. Having the Worm mimic Kagami's brother was just one freaking way to emotionally torture a character. And that fight scene in the rain was epic! Loved it when the Clock Up started and the raindrops were everywhere. I'm enjoying Tendou and Kagami's interactions so far. I hope the other incoming characters will be great too.

Tendou doesn't like to lose, does he? Not even in cooking. Funny that his sister also quotes their grandmother. They must be wealthy considering Tendou doesn't have a job but they seeming live an affluent lifestyle.

I also find the Worms look generic. They seem like overgrown mollusks then they molt and turn into something different but I'm not that impressed with the look.

Also Kagami's actor looks really familiar to me. I think I might have seen him somewhere before. Has he made any other Toku show?

According to Wikipedia, the only other Toku-esque show he's been in is the Yuusha Yoshihiko series, everything else looks like dramas and the such.

Watched episodes 26-28 of Kabuto tonight and Absolutely love Daisuke back he makes the show better, loved seeing the four of them fight together and love Tsurugi with a job trying to help out. Yuriko/Gon is great too. Kageyama needs to evolve past the good soldier/following orders guy already, I feel their is more to him than he is showing right now. Kagami's bike is totally badass turning into that flying stag beetle machine. He is a badass and extremely competent fighter as Gatack. Haven't seen someone I liked fight in Kamen Rider since Akira Date. Also love the human side of Tendou when he is protecting Hiyori and Juka. It's like he is a different person and it's good to see.

That just makes him stupider.

I liked the minor plot twist about who was Alternative but still. And getting rid of Alternative is pointless since I see on the previews for next episode, Alternative Zero shows up.

Also, why is Shirou letting the Rider war go on when an intruder is messing up shit? We know he has the power to stop the War or beat the shit out of someone with Odin so why does he let it continue?

So apparently, Ren temporarily gets his wished granted by Eri regaining consciousness and then gets it taken away from him. Does this mean then that Odin has a Respawn time as long as there are other Riders alive?
