There should be an official version. |
Been watching some Kabuto. This is actually better than I thought it would be. Watchin episode 6now.
|
So we moved to the next two episodes of W (7 and 8) and my friend is starting to really get annoyed with Philip. He finds him to be as bad as the Go-Busters cast, so I think if he isn't sold on the show after 9 and 10, we're going to move on to showing him a different KR series and I'll just continue watching W on my own.

It's unfortunate that he wasn't the one to become the titular character. |

Just finished the epic rock/taiko drumming battle with the giant crab at the end of Decade 19. It was madness, really.

Ryuki endgame. Go see my thread about it.
Now I need a series where it ending won't get me angry. Any suggestions? |

Finally got around to watching Movie Wars Ultimatum (well, 2/3 of it. I'm too tired to watch the Ultimatum part tonight).
It's...alright. Certainly no Megamax that's for sure. The Fourze part was a pretty mixed bag. While they all seem to have landed pretty amazing careers they've only been out of HIGH SCHOOL for like 4 years, Gentaro being a teacher was the only one that felt strange (Yuuki as an astronaut was obviously gonna happen no matter how implausible). While the start really dragged (that chase scene went on way too long), once the club were back together and ALL kicking ass it was really enjoyable. Up until Gen threw the driver that is. I understand what they were trying to get across with that scene but it still felt like a really crap resolution. All the Inazuman stuff that followed felt completely tacked on. Oh, and Nadeshiko was there for whatever reason. Oh well, was nice to see her again. The Wizard portion was a lot more eh. I guess I'd enjoy it more if I gave a damn about Poitrine, but I don't. Bonus points for being flashy as hell and having Rinko do things though. Was great seeing Phoenix too, Medusa works so much better when alongside him. Will post thoughts on the final part tomorrow. |
I was thinking of splitting my time between Faiz and something else.
So I am intrested in starting Blade, Kabuto, Agito and finshing up Double. So maybe I'll watch Faiz regularly and then rotate out those 4 series. |

I'd go with Agito. It's one of the best. |
Blade. That's an excellent series.

I honestly felt the Ultimatum portion went on longer than it needed to. The truck chase scene felt like multiple lifetimes.
It kind of sucks that the Akumaizer 3 were turned into villains, too. |

I've been watching the original Kamen Rider. I'm usually not that big on watching the old shows, but this is campy enough that I'm enjoying the ride.

I really need to get back to watching it. Personally, I think Hongo is better than Ichimonji, but I think I should give Ichimonji more time. |

Watched the Ultimatum portion, and that turned out to be pretty meh as well.
Eiji's cameo was excellent, but it was a shame that none of the other Riders came back for the film (although in the context of the film I guess it makes sense since they seemed like constructs rather than the actual Riders). The truck chase was long and super boring, and the two movie exclusive forms were both pretty lame. I did like that Nadeshiko Fusion States can use the hands as missiles though. The doughnut shop manager twist was brilliant though, saved the film from a predictable ending. So for me it went Fourze portion > Ultimatum > Wizard Portion, but none of them were particularly standout. Oh yeah, and Shun got with Miu hell yes :D |
Watched Episodes 36-40 of Kabuto, and well I'm back on the I like Tendou train now, loved Drake's episodes with Reina, felt bad for both Yaguruma and Kageyama but still love both of them. Kagami is still awesome in so many ways and Tsurugi is so silly. Also does the universe just listen to Tendou? I mean the Hyper Zector gets destroyed, it comes from the future to him; defeat an enemy without Hyper Clock up, get an extremely powerful and huge sword. However seeing KickHopper and Dark Kabuto both kick Tendou's ass was nice to see for a bit.

I loved the Inazuman bit. It was cool.
Gentaro throwing away his driver was actually rather touching. The world lost Fourze, so the kid who became Inazuman lost his argument of "You can just fly in and save everyone." It was an inspiring moment and proved Gen's willingness as a teacher to motivate his students, despite how much he may lose. Yeah, the rest of the Fourze portion sucked, the freerunning chance scene, especially, but I liked the Inazuman part and Gen destroying the driver. |
I've decided I'm going to split my time between Kabuto, Blade and finish up Kuuga next weekend if I can.
Kabuto 1-4 Damn, Kagami is an idiot. But not an idiot who can't understand emotions like Shinji, more like a "Shit, I forgot I have to go to work" and gulliable idiot.I didn't expect the epizode with Kagami's brother to be so early in the series. Tendou hasn't shown his dickish side yet but he did troll a bunch of smoking white guys. The action is cool and I want to see more clock up tricks. Also, episodes 3 and 4 are standalone, and I like that, I don't needed more two parters. Blade 1 and 2 Chalice gets introduced in the first 2 episodes along with Garren and Blade? This is going to get intresting. I do have a complaint though, and I know its gonna sound weird, but I can't tell the damn male characters apart. Seriously, I get confused who's Kenzaki, Hajime, Tachibana and that writer guy because they are have way to damn similar facial structures and hair styles. |
Decided I should probably watch Kamen Rider Black since I've preordered 2 figures from it.
Have to say, I really enjoyed the first episode. I liked how it just assumed watchers knew the basic Showa Kamen Rider format by now and just focused on the origin stuff that was new. Golgom and the monsters are creepy as hell, and Kotaro seems like a pretty cool rider so far. Looking forward to more! |

Well, often, the crossover movies aren't directed or written by someone who worked the series, so it's entirely possible that Ultimatum didn't have any of Fourze's writers or director at the helm...
