It's not anime because it's not japanese. Anime is japanese cartoons, and RWBY is American. So it's just. An american cartoon. It's not about it being CG. There are plenty of CG anime.

RWBY looks like an anime, but it's not. It was not produced in Japan to be anime. That's why people don't view Avatar: The Last Airbender, Teen Titans, Code Lyoko‎ and The Boondocks as anime.

Well, I never viewed TT or Boondocks as Anime either. Same for Avatar. Code Lyoko, never cared for it. There's one anime that I'm forced to watch on Saturdays that I do question. Michiko and Hachin.

Gosh, that anime is amazing, but the english dub voice for Mitchiko is terrible. But I love little Hatchin's. :D

I question Michiko and Hatchin (I had it spelt right the first time but changed it because it didn't feel right. :lol !!) because of their names. Is it taking place in Japan, Mexico, or the Philippines? Judging by names I would say Philippine.

I think it based on Brazil but the universe is supposed to be hodgepodgy.

Go! Princess Precure is such a good show. It's weird that it's so good. But no complaints. Very exciting plot developments for the last...10ish episodes. And we still have a while till it's over. It's only getting better...

Rewatch Gunsmith Cats tonight. Still holds up very well, a shame that it's only three episodes long. B+

I kinda want to check out Pupa to see how terrible it is. I sat through Mars of Destruction and it was horrible. However it was so enjoyable for being so terrible. Pupa was view as the worst anime of 2014.

It classed as worest dud to it one of thoes 5 min in length amines when it should of been longer deffently when it based in a manga where it not a comedy

Inferno Cop is shorter then your typical episode of Aqua Teen Hunger Force and other shows on Adult Swim and yet it's a enjoyable show. So being short as nothing to do with being bad. Sometimes I like to check out movies or shows that claim to be horrible just to see how terrible that they are.

Mars of Destruction is the worst anime that I watched this year critically. However personally I enjoy it being so terrible. Speaking of bad anime, I did check out Skelter+Heaven since it was the second lowest anime on MAL. For Skelter+Heaven, I have no idea what I just watch. Nothing about made any sense, the CG will make Cubix look like a Pixar film and the whole thing was boring. Mars of Destruction made me laugh while Skelter+Heaven had nothing worth laughing at. Skelter+Heaven was dull even for an anime that is only 20 minutes long.

Ok your right bout that but pupa one if thoes that rush thing and feel like it had to be long to explain it manga a lot depth in I think and anime just did play it well

It's not "claw your eyes out" horrible, just "this makes no sense" horrible, since the short anime format wasn't enough to cover the material they only animated key scenes and left a lot out, meaning it's kinda incomprehensible.

Not exactly rage or accidental comedy material imo.

Hence why it felt like it need to be regular length anime. I been meanin to check out the manga due to anime issue

Even though I haven't finished the first Idolmaster anime I went to see how the Cinderella Girls one is....

Cinderella Girls has kind of a rocky start (and entire existence) but I think it gets better the more it goes on. Kinda cheesy and weird but the development it gives its characters is pretty solid.

I haven't seen the original Idolm@ster, so I don't know how it stacks with that though.

I do enjoy some parts of it but there are some problems in which I won't really go into depth here as I need some times to think about it since I won't complete cinderella girls until I finish the original anime to see how it compares.

What I do have the most concrete grasp so far is that I like more of the characters in the original version but the characters I like in Cinderella girls I like more but there are less of them.

Overall in conclusion so far, Love live is my favourite Idol series so far.

Yeah, the characters in Cinderella Girls can be...hit or miss. A lot of them start out really annoying, but they do get development eventually so I end up being mostly ok with them. Anzu and the Producer are the best characters, anyway.

Love Live! is pretty good, but it always bothered me how poor they were at handling their large cast of characters. Hanayo got like, no focus whatsoever. Rin was completely neglected and unnecessary for the entire first season. And Maki...also never got any focus.

Way too much Honoka focus, basically.

wake up girls is my fave serise that first episode basicle the movie that folows up with 12 ep season. also the first anime to get launch of a filme with sub streaming with crunchyroll.

i watch strikers few month back after being the same boat as you. it not a bad show once it get past first episode get back being the nanoha and lover fate show

Yeah it was weird how Love live with having less character still has focus issues, not the same people who made but still less characters should mean it is easier to manage time between them but then both I have seen so far seem to main character syndrome so some characters give extra screen time and focus over others.

I made the comparison between love live and Cinderella girls is how I recall the first live in Love live and how they kept going from that despite anyone showing up or anything and with all the stuff they Got in Cinderella girls and Mio wants to quit because it didn't live up to her expectations and it really annoyed which is why I am heading back to Cinderella girls later after I actually complete the first one.

Yeah I really don't like Mio and that made me withhold watching a series, that doesn't often.

Mio is pretty annoying, no argument there. She pulls some seemingly equally petty stuff in the second season too...she's not great.

Cinderella Girls also suffers from some really heavy handed directing. Like, the episode after Mio quits, it's all super gray and cloudy, pouring rain. It's like telegraphing "SOMETHING BAD HAPPENED CAN YOU TELL" and it's kinda obnoxious.

Cinderella Girls looks like it has some main character favoritism going on in the first half, and it's true somewhat, but after the Mio debacle they pretty much shift all focus from the main trio to the other girls.

I finish Baka and Test season 2 last night. Now I have the OVA's to finish and I'm done with the series. I really love this series, I already miss the characters since they where all memorable and the humor was very funny in this series.

Mio does more petty crap.... Oh goddamn, sigh..... Okay bottom of the list she goes then.

If the other characters get more focus aka everyone that isn't Mio at the moment, I want to get more of Kaede since she is voiced by one of my favourite japanese voice actresses.

I also did check out a bit of that next episode, it is super unsubtle that sad things are happening.

Kaede...she's not one of the main thirteen, so unfortunately beyond cameos we don't see much of her at all. She does get a little focus in one episode of the second season, though.

Yeah, she never really improves.

As the show goes on we get more standalone episodes focusing on the side characters, Kaede gets one too, and for the most part they are enjoyable.

But S2 also has more of the unsubtle directing and forced drama, so... you can't win them all.

From what I've read it's based on the light novel and the final novel came out in March of this year. The anime ended 4 years ago, most anime never get new seasons if the anime ended after a long period of time. That's why I give up hope for Tiger & Bunny, The Guyver and Elfen Lied getting new seasons. Tenchi Muyo! was lucky enough to get a third OVA after a decade later.

Unfortunately that seems to be the case, I made my list of which of the characters I liked the most by the music, which is what I did of love live, and Kaede came out on top so yeah that was probably me getting my hopes up.

Well at least there is more focus on other characters and as long as forced drama isn't on Faiz levels then that is fine by me.

yea elfen lied is one i wish it did get second season. i dunno if light novel got offical license yet or if fan translation of the books

Elfen Lied is one where a second season wouldn't really make sense though, since they mostly covered the manga and had a definite (non-manga) ending. There wasn't really anywhere to go from there and nothing really to adapt.

I would love to see Birdy the Mighty Decode get a third season too, but the second season ended like in 2009 or 2010. Sometimes I hate when a show ends on a cliffhanger and makes the viewers be like "Go read the manga if you want to know what happens next". That's how the Berserk TV series, Elfen Lied and the 2005 Guyver series ended with opening up for another season and nothing got made years later.

The lack of Index III in my life is heartwrenching. After the movie and Railgun S in 2013 I was sure that wasn't too far behind, but so far we've heard nothing whatsoever.

Eh, at least the novels are coming out in the US now, and they're way better than the anime in any case...still, though

I guess it depends how popular the show was. Most animes don't get many seasons these days. At least Tiger & Bunny is getting a new anime short sometime next week (September 19th from what I've read). I still need to see the second movie. It's been on the shelve since my birthday. There are some anime on my shelve I still need to watch too like the 70's Cutey Honey TV series and the second volume of Mazinger Z (I read the manga ages ago though).
