Titanium is down quite a bit - like almost a thousand.

I voted. I don't really get to make much use of the prizes, but I had some fun voting in what is a flashier version of what we were doing on this site just a few months ago. Most surprising is it turned out my picks are generally the mass consensus picks as well, that doesn't usually happen with me but I'm glad it did.

As much as I shit on MMPR, and hate how MMPR overkill this celebration is, considering the kind of crap examples of Rangers the MMPR Rangers were often stacked against I had to vote for those iconic dino diamond clad highschoolers, I'm sorry.

Biggest surprise though is how well Ninja Storm and Turbo are doing. I mean I like Ninja Storm, but I thought being a "true" Ranger fan involved shitting on Turbo and Disney?

This whole thing continues to prove to me that no matter how much people cry sexism, no matter how much fans think they have the ability to control the voting, kids are going to rule it.

Examples?

Red Wolf Warrior is beating Titanium Ranger (an older fan favorite). Why? Because he looks cooler in his picture.

Red Samurai Lauren is losing. Why? Because for all the cries of sexism, she's still losing to a nobody, meaning that boys will continue to support the boys. Not because they're all little sexist jerks, but because boys buy boy stuff.

Not saying it's a shame ... just saying I hope we can stop the cries of sexism every time Bandai of America or Saban puts out something that isn't super heavily female oriented.

PLUS it also really isn't Saban's fault. Whether we want to admit or not, women get treated HORRIBLY by sentai and there is only so much you can do when you're adapting shows that shaft women so much in the first place. Call it token casting if you want, but Power Rangers changing male characters into female ones, and adding more variety of races and ages is honestly a lot more than sentai has ever done.

Hell, the only reason Sentai has women is because of complaints over the lack of them in Sun Vulcan. :lol
