I'll watch Zyuranger completely when it comes out on DVD, but I did watch the first 4 or so episodes (up to the first Dora Sphinx episode) and... I know it's definitely too early to judge, but the show seemed to not have very much in the way of character development. It's hard to care about the characters when you can't even really describe them. The only one that really seemed to have a character archetype to him in the early episodes was Dan/Triceraranger. Zyuranger did have some of the best designs, stunts, and one of the most wicked villain groups (despite their um... dancing), but the rangers themselves just aren't hitting it for me. I'm sure when I watch further into the show they'll flesh out the characters more... at least I hope.

The only qualms I'm aware of is the "Kid of the Week" stuff and reused footage during the Grand Satan arc.
Satan is a big floating blue head and God is 5 dinosaur robots. This show's Renaissance art would be crazy. |

Let me guess, they are the people that highly praise the stuff like Bioman and Maskman and everything after Liveman is bad? |

I could care less about who exactly doesn't like it, that's not indicative of a shows quality. In this case it's mostly people holding a classic series to modern standards. Looking at something through that lens they're bound not to like it, and that's fine that's their opinion. But it's a much better show than it's given credit for. |

Well, Zyuranger was awesome because:
1. Kickass debut henshin 2. Burai 3. Burai 4. Burai 5. Source Material 6. The contrast to MMPR was a fresh take for me when I first saw them and was what got me into Sentai. |
I don't understand the animosity against people not liking Zyuranger...
