The Thunderbirds merch may be there due to a) it’s considered a Tokusatsu in Jajapn (where the definition is ‘ a live action project that heavily uses special effects”) and b) because there was the movie coming out at the same time this magazine was published.

Can someone please explain to me what the small black dots on the corners of the earlier Ultramans' eyes are for? The newer ones don't have it but it seems to be prevalent on some older ones. Is there a reason for this?

Simpler than you might think -- eyeholes for the actor inside to see! Of course, on Showa Ultras they're extremely prominent so for many like Seven they just became a part of the design despite remade suits. Later Ultras don't have them because technology advanced since then

Speaking of, I think in the case of Zero I believe his "eyebrows" are eyeholes rather than on the eyes like his father or Taro, etc.
