the angry panda one looks to be the everlution form of the naughty panda so we got the panda verstion of ursaring and teddyursa

I really liked Pancham already, so it's nice to see he evolves into such a badarse.

he was the oveius one due to they both have treeko style twigs in there mouths and hes a big panda. also i hope ash gets one of these in pokemon XY so iit can be like treeko

May with a Torchic, Red with a Charmander, Dawn with a Piplup, Ethan with a Totodile, Hilbert and Nate with Oshawotts and Serena with a Fenekin.

I named him SuperStar, and he is my first shiny that wasn't programmed into the plot like Gyrados, Gible, Dratini, or Haxorus.

I just thought up nicknames for my XY team.

If Fennekin is male: Mc Cloud. if female: Krystal.
TalonFlame: Birdramon.
Silveon: Serena. (Sailor moon)
Honedge:OathKeeper.
That Squid Pokemon:Chuthulu.
Vivilon: (I think that's what it's called.) I can't think of a name for this one.

You want to know what I don't get? Where does all the hate for the Vanillite and Trubbish lines come from? And before you say that they have lazy designs, take off your nostalgia goggles and look at Electrode

I know! Vanillish and Vanillixe look closer to snow-capped icicles than ice cream, IMO, while Trubbish and Garbodor complete a Pollution Triangle with Grimer, Muk, Koffing and Weezing.
But NO ONE hates Grimer for being an amorphous slime or Muk for being a bigger amorphous slime.

But Ditto gets a free pass on the amorphous slime thing for being a great breeding slave :D

Although to be fair Dawn/Misty can be interchangeable at times depending on the mood.

I really can't understand your dislike for May. She's actually the reason people began to enjoy the anime again after how boring most of Johto was. I've been rewatching the Hoenn seasons and her character is consistently funny and entertaining in most.

Did you watch a different version of the show than everyone else?

What? I don't like her design, I don't like her personality, I don't like her attitude, I don't like her infallibility, and I don't like how other characters react to her (That being never ending praise, beyond Harley).

She did nothing for me.

One of the reasons i love May is because her team consists of some of my favorite Pokemon and my favorite Pokemon of all time Blaziken.

Never-ending praise? I think you mean Dawn on that one, who basically had the same happy interactions with all her rivals and everything. May was the one constantly struggling with her rivals.

May's Combusken evolved one episode before May left the series...

I honestly remember Dawn having more negative experiences during contests. And I'm not talking about rivals, just other characters in general.

And it's entirely possible that I'm incorrectly remembering the Hoenn arcs.

I don't care, she has one and that evolution line is badass.

Dawn bombed two contests because she messed up the appeal round, it had nothing to do with characters. Not sure why you would think that, as Zoey and Kenny were entirely nice to her and Dawn never had any "mean" rivals like Gary, Paul or Harley.

Considering you said Torchic evolved out of jealously which is just plain wrong, I'd say so. Torchic evolve to protect Corphish from being beaten up by a bunch of wild Breloom, May wasn't even in that scene at the time. It was one of those episodes where the groups Pokemon get separated from Ash and co. because of Team Rocket's explosions.

Like I said, I could very well be remembering the Hoenn arcs incorrectly, adding that they aired around 8 years ago and they featured a character I didn't like, lots of things tend to get blurred over the years.

I know Iris is a gym leader/champion, making it a 2-2 split (2 female gym leader companions, 2 female player character companions), so there's no 100% way to be certain, but I'm putting my bets on her.

I never liked it when Ash got all 3 starters on his team.
I hope we get the female player character so he can only get one or two of the starters.

One of the nicest thing about the Hoenn era was that he got just one starter while his companions got the others. It makes it more fun so that he could free up slots for other Pokémon.

in Sinnoh, he had two out of the three while dawn had Piplup.

It's a shame that it was Hoenn, so his fire options were, like, Torkoal or Camerupt :lol

But I do like it when he can have some of the more eccentric Pokemon on his team. I'm not as angry that he has the starters in B/W because he actually uses more than the first 6, but I'm still not a fan because they still seem like permanent fixtures on his team.

Hence the "One or two."

More than the starters, I think Ash should try not to get the first basic Flying type he comes across. Perhaps be a bit more imaginative in his flying choice. :lol

That'd be nice (How cool would it have been for Ash's Unova flyer to be Braviary or Mandibuzz?), but I don't think it's gonna happen.

Or Sigilyph for instance. When Ash gets weird Pokémon it makes for some interesting interactions.

Ash had a Glaile which is definitely not one of the Pokemon I'd expect from a main character, to say nothing of Muk, Kingler and his legion of Tauroses...Taurosi?

He didn't do much with the Tauros, but the rest were all awesome additions to his team.

Looking at the Pokemon he's had, Ash could easily build a champion team with the following:

1. Sceptile
2. Heracross
3. Krookodile
4. Gliscor
5. Totodile...Look I think its cute ok?
6. Snorlax

If he brought this team to any tournament and just benched Pikachu who could beat him!?

But...Pikachu...can damage Ground Pokémon with Electric attacks, create Thunder armor for Flying types and beat Dragonites. :D
