I think it probably takes place near the end of tai being in high school, cause didn't the originals more or less just get into high school in the second series, except for T.K. and Kari who were in middle school. either way it seems like it picks up some time after the final fight from series 2 and before the time skip epilogue. also they need to bring over x-evolution stateside, I mean all the movies I think were, except for data squad I think, released dubbed on tv, the only ones getting vhs and dvd being the first three. I miss my garurumon toy that transformed into weregarurumon.

You do realize the promo vid says nothing about the story taking place 15 years later, just that it's been 15 years since the first show. Tai was only 14 in 02 so barely high school age. The english dub saud he was 16 in 02, but the original version definitely says he was 14 at the time. This sounds more like it could be a sequel to the combined 01/02 continuity.

Point is we just don't know yet. Wouldn't be surprised if they just ignored Season 2.

I'd say that this "sequel" will probably be a retcon where instead of Davis being in the spotlight, Tai is still around with Agumon and they go on adventures. Like take elements from 02, but have a majority rewritten to focus on Tai.

This announcement put me in a Digimon mood, so i went and booted up my copy of Digimon world dawn. :D

If only 02 didn't have the happily ever after ending.

He's definitely going to be a web exclusive, however, unlike Imperialdramon, I doubt they'll be able to make much of a claim to being important to the western audience when X-Evolution never saw release here. Unless the whole "Digimon is an important property to our market" thing is a blanket statement and will cover him.

If Alphamon ends up having a role in the new series they announced today then Bluefin could bring him over when Saban dubs it.

Well Digimon is the list of franchises of exclusives that Bluefin can release here now next to Power Rangers, Godzilla, DBZ and Megaman. I can see Alphamon being brought over here.

I look forward to the new season, but I wish they pick College instead High School. I recall Tai was 14 in Season 2 and that would that mean the show would take place in 2006 if he's going to be 17. I remember the ending to Season 2 had everyone having kids in the year 2027.

I thought he was 10 in 1999. I'm surprise to see people disliking Season 2. I remember fans enjoy that season back in the day. It's like how people are with Final Fantasy X now.

I hope not. I like Season 2 a lot and I rather if they didn't ignore. I can understand why they would want to ignore something like Season 4 since that show sucked and it did poorly. I would take Season 2 over Season 4 any day of the week. Season 4 was like the Dragon Ball GT of Digimon shows in my opinion.

Lose Stingmon is one thing but the getting rid of Shakkoumon would be amazing and if we get a better evolution For TK and Patamon would be amazing.

I honestly can't figure that out (the Digimon wiki isn't very good if you ask me...). His pre-evolutions apparently had some sort of presence in the Adventures PSP game? He couldn't have shown up there though if we only just recently learned of him.

Guilmon has been confirmed, which makes me as content as I can possibly be with a 12 character roster as he's who I'll be playing as and wanted in the game the most.

We've also got the box-art that confirms Omegamon will be in the game somehow too.

Still can't believe that a game coming out in 2014 only has 12 characters though! That's 8 less then Rumble Arena 2, which was released ten years ago! So far we have:

1. Agumon -> Wargreymon
2. Gabumon-> Metal Garurumon
3. Piyomon-> Phoenixmon
4. Tentomon-> HeraculKabuterimon
5. Gomamon-> Pleisiomon (WTF? Why not Vikemon, his official evolution?)
6. Tailmon-> ??? (Guessing Magnadramon, even though it was officially changed to Orphanimon, considering the Pleisiomon weirdness)
7. Veemon-> ??? (Probably Imperialdramon)
8. Guilmon-> ??? (almost 100% going to be Dukemon)
9. Shoutmon-> Omega Shoutmon
10. Dorulumon-> Shoutmon X4

That leaves only two slots. Considering 6/8 of the Digimon Adventure cast are here, I'm betting Patamon and Palmon are the last two and that Frontier and Savers are snubbed off. If only there could've been 18 slots and we'd be able to get at least 2 Adventure 2.0, 2 Tamers, 2 Frontier and 2 Savers reps too...

Seems I'm the only one who cares about this game! But oh well!

The last two characters are confirmed to be Impmon and Wormmon. Very happy for both Guilmon and Impmon to be in, but it is strange to have 6/8 Season 1s and no Season 4s or 5s.

Breaking the Ultimate trend, Tailmon turns into Angewomon and Veemon turns into X-Veemon. Also confirmed that some Digimon have more evolutions so expect Omegamon, Imperialdramon and Dukemon Crimson Mode.

I care of the game due to the fact if this well we might get a 3RS port of the Psp digimon adventures game

I haven't played a Digimon game since Digimon World 4. I rented DW4 at Blockbuster back in 2005 and I return back like a day later. It was boring and dull compare to the first three games. The second game is one of my favorite RPG's on the PS1.

The lack of Frontier characters isn't that surprising, but Savers is.

I'm glad Impmon got in, but I'm not that happy that only 2 Tamers characters got in...

I sure hope I can get a new 360 or a PS4 to play it on. Really looking forward to it! Also, what do you guys think of that Premium Bandai Digimon Card Set? Sure seems odd, since the cards are still being made there in Japan & the set was described as some sort of "revival" for the game.
