WTF man? Four episodes for one fight sequence?

I guess the only positive is that Funimation will probably release the series in 13 episode sets and that will mean I won't have to buy the first volume.

Isn't that the whole Dragonball Z anime in a nutshell? Two guys fighting for like three minutes, then standing next to each other the rest of the episode thinking about stupid stuff while some background characters do something else.

From the looks of it, the retelling of BOG and ROF is seem to be done by Toei while Toriyama will be writing the Universe 6 saga and possibly future story lines. I think Toei could be retelling BOG and ROF while Toriyama has all of his scripts and drafts complete.

So super BOG and ROF retelling are filler saga of season If that theory is true cause there no news saying film ant cannon no more cause looked. All that comes up us battle of God film is cannon

Yes, but they were following a manga before, so they had no choice but to drag the stuff out. Here, there is no manga, so there is no excuse.

That does seem a toei animation thing to do Battle of God retelling does feel like filler. But Russrection f has some unanswered question I can see being answered.

Toriyama most likely retcon Hell in the series. I think Freeza in the cocoon in RF was his spirit and not his real body. He was brought back to life in pieces instead his whole body which could explain why. At least Cyborg Freeza in Hell made more sense then having him in his 4th form in Hell in the filler episodes in the anime. He died as a cyborg and should have his cyborg body in Hell. Dr. Gero is still a cyborg in Hell in the filler episodes of DBZ and yet he didn't return to back as human after death.

Yea cause filler had plot holes.

I do have to kinda agree with Dr. Kain since dragging out the fights and bad pacing is one reason why I can't go back to watch the old DBZ anime since the manga and Kai has better pacing. While GT was mediocre at best in my opinion, GT's pacing was a big improvement over DBZ.

Anyways, I did like this week's episode of Super. The fight between SSjG Goku and Beerus was enjoyable. I also like the bit of Whis and Pilaf too.

Man, this si getting really annoying. It seems like every other week the fansub group I was getting the subs from is gone or something. Does anyone know who is the best group to get episode 10 from (HD 1080 or 720)? Dragon Team and Dragon Super don't have it up.

In the manga, he already show up. I guess he might show up after BOG. Some fans think that he is the reason why Freeza got stronger since he might be his trainer.

Oh great, so now we can have 40 episodes of Freeza being trained just to lose. Wonderful.

Episode 11 of Super was pretty good. I do look forward to tonight's episode. We have another episode to go before the BOG saga is finished.

Just came back to uk screening of resurrection of f even in cinema I noticeable thing more cell shading CG was.terrible and fight was I found one sided not just cause I saw a handy cam cording online and knew the ending I went in as if I did not see any thing but I enjoyed but I don't think it was better then battle of gods intern of visuals or story it was defiantly made for the action heavy fan of dbz not for the one that wanted.l a good story.

I didn't know the Super stood for Dragon Ball Super Deformed.

A lot of Super has been that way. It's like 4Kids did the art for it after seeing how awful their edits of Kai were >_>

I know it has had bad animation, but this was just, just, oh my god. This wasn't just in one scene though. He had that big head for a good minute or so and it continued into episode 12.

I would wish the Universe 6 saga would start sooner then later. I guess Toriyama is taking his time on writing everything or Toei really wants to drag everything out.

Eh, just give me the English dub of Super and I'll be all in. I hate the Japanese voices.

At the same time though this pacing reminds me quite a bit of the original shows, where they too were semi- slow.

Weird thing I prefer only few of funimation va more a Scott McNeil piccolo fan and I preffer vegeta Japanese seiyuu over both brain and sabat

I like the Japanese voices over the Funimation voice cast. The Japanese voices are so iconic to me. Sean Schemmel as Goku is good, but I still prefer Peter Kelamis and Ian Corlett as Goku. The ocean voice cast is not bad, they just had to deal with bad scripts since Funimation where new to dubbing anime at the time. Also in the 90's, they where super strict on violence for kids shows. Both DBZ and Power Rangers had controversy from parents who felt the show was too violent for young children in the 90's. That's why the 1996-1998 dub to had to do a lot of changes like change Hell to HFIL, the next dimension and no one was allow to say "kill" or "die".

UK had ocean dub through android and Martin buu well at the the time Martin buu was on it was Westwood dub and kirby marrow had to voice voice mimic funimation cast when funimation took over dubbing they had to voice mimic ocean cast before. I will all ways be a piccolo voice by Scot McNeil fan. Just wish funimation just had a different can for piccolo more cause sabat could but it not hidden enough not tell its him.

Anime News Network did another podcast with Funimation and in it Justin Rojas said they still don't have Super. The New York Comic-Con panel is just an acknowledgment that it exists.

Toei must be holding Super off from Funimation. I guess even if the show comes out late, it will still sell well since the series has a strong brand name in the US. A lot of people still haven't seen the show yet.

Agreed, this is tiresome. What is even worse is the Goku/Beerus fight is now going to be longer than the damn extended cut to Battle of Gods. That is absolutely bullcrap.

Meh, I'll take the Japanese voices over the Ocean dub ones any day of the week. I hate Brian Drummond's Vegeta. I'm not a fan of Sabat's Vegeta either, but at least he tried to do a better job in Kai and the two new movies.

Oh, and I hate every English voice of Freeza that is not Chris Ayres. The lady who did Airrazor in Beast Wars is no Freeza, nor is the lady that did it for Funimation.

The rest of the cast is great in either language. Or rather, the original way the Japanese cast sounded. I am not a fan of the way King Kai sounds now. Vegeta is also off. And the new voice actors they have to do Satan, Roshi, and Tenshinhan are inferior to their originals.

Or Funimation just feels like the series is total crap.

Actually, it could have to do with them wanting to see if the episodes that come out on BD are going to be different than the broadcast versions. One thing I learned that when they license a show, they sometimes have to renegotiate their license to get the versions of the episodes that came out on video as opposed to the ones that were broadcasted.

Looks like the Super manga is skipping ROF. The manga of Super is more enjoyable then the show so far.
