Wow, that's pretty sweet. I'm impressed they keep so much of the functionality in the Minipla. A good alternative for people who don't want the DX.

Ah. Yeah. Looking closer I can see there's actually molded detail for his face. I thought it was just a flat surface you put a sticker on. My mistake!

By design it has to be a sticker, since nothing is painted on these. But as you noticed, they have molded details on, so they're very good for painting. :)

Still shouldn't be long now then =] It certainly looks like a return to form for minipla, and the fact he can both DX combine and articulation combine is just amazing after the kyoryuger sets.

I'm just happy that it has fully-functional elbows! Looks like they learned from their mistakes with the Kyoryuger line.

The Tokkyuoh Minipla might be the only thing from this show that I'm on board for.

The kit looks great! Looks comparable to a Gundam HIgh Grade kit.

Amiami still has minipla toqoh in stock. I am tempted to order a set but I don't really know what I would do with the other set and the two extra boxes. I don't sell things because I don't really have the means and time either. Hopefully I'll be able to find someone selling their extra set. Haha

How much is the set going for?

Its 2940 yen at Amiami, and if shipping was as much as the Kyoryujin set cost last year, it would be an additional 2560 yen (for EMS). We're looking at around 5500 yen if you only plan to get the minipla set. But I could be wrong with the shipping.

Minpla ToQOh Looks great. It's so good that he's got more Articulation than Kyoryujin did. I may just skip the DX ressha and just get the candy toys. Hopefully Diesel-Oh is just as good.

More comparable to First Grade kits in construction and complexity.

Wow, for a minipla that doesn't look too terrible straight out of the box like that. The fact that it's not as hollow as some of the Kyoryuger kits is a huge plus too.

I'm liking what I'm seeing and I can't wait for mine.

And it detail look really great. Can't wait to paint this guy too.

I bought a minipla ShinkenOh years back. Fantastic toy but the stickers drove me up the wall. (Not that they were bad, they were actually better than other toys' stickers) So I bought sticker removal and painted the whole thing. Since I sucked at painting, I spent about 2-3 weeks painting it. I applied too much paint and now the joints have cracked. :p

So I gave up and bought a Samurai Megazord. :D

I do wish they'd start including stickers for both sides of the sword (not overly confident I can replicate the detail with paint, but I'll give it a go), but other than that it looks fantastic.
