That was the leaked image that was removed per the takedown notice. The image post in this thread beat the official reveal in the News thread by a few minutes, according to the thread flow and time stamps.

The only thing that bothers me about the Megazord is the feet and how long the legs are.

here's my feeling about the movie, i dont like it, i dont like the suits, i dont like the zords, the cast, i mean i dont feel anything for this movie.

because if you are rebooting a movie based on a brand, it has to be something similar to it not different because that's not what it's about. for example, you look how they rebooted spiderman, they didnt change the suit to alien like armor, they kept the same design, spandex to look like spiderman because there's what the brand is.

same with the zords, there's no excuse for lame designs, you want to make something similar to power rangers you stick with it, you want to make something different call it something else.

no offense to cast but who are these people besides banks, that's not going to bring people to watch the movie because no one is familar with these actors. if they brought in some young current movie actors everyone is familar with, i think it would it be a big hit.

my point is if they kept the spandex, similar designs to the original suits and zords, hiring popular young actors everyone is familiar with even putting in past ranger cameos, that would be a big hit. in my opinion it's going fail like the fantastic four reboot. free to disagree but that's my feeling about it

Still has the very detailed, organic body suit. Still has the more detailed, alien helmets. Actually looks like the power Rangers, though.

...Those would of been just about perfect. Maybe move the "belt buckles" a little higher on the girls, something's off about their current placement. Other than that, yes, this is what the movie should be like and ISN'T...

And, yes, the new suits are acceptable, but this is still better. Hell, it even does alien better because, showing this to my brother, his VERY FIRST THOUGHT was freaking Guyver. If that isn't an endorsement, I don't know what is.

Wow, those concept costumes would have been perfect for this movie. Very detailed but still recognizable.

And those are just CGI renders a fan made. Actual, real life costumes made by Hollywood would probably have an even nicer finish and proportions. The yellow ranger's helmet in the movie especially bothers me, because her helmet was always one of the coolest to me because of the fangs over the visor. The movie helmets don't really resemble anything at all except Red's which has little eyes but... the T-rex zord doesn't, sooo...

Every decision made aesthetically for this movie defies the very nature of Power Rangers. The helmets don't resemble their animals. Their zords don't resemble their animals. The Megazord doesn't look like a combined form of the zords. Nothing makes sense in context with the rest of the film, or feels connected to the other aspects of the Rangers.

Let's hope that if this movie gets a sequel, that they do something more like this next time around.

If the movie gets a sequel I doubt it.

If the Amazing Spiderman series can change Spiderman's costume in between movies, I can believe a PR sequel could too.

Amazing Spider-man came from a studio hemorrhaging money, desperate to shove in as much fan appeal and characters as possible.

And the movie was monumentally bad.

Sometimes I am glad I was part of the generation that at least had a chance to play with the imported Japanese toys.

And I kick myself for only ever owning three.

Then again, considering what the imported Japanese toys are nowadays, you're screwed either way. :lol

Dino Thunder wasn't bad, and Mystic Force was pretty swell. RPM was when things actually, measurably worse in terms of Megazord design.

I hated the Go-onger/RPM mecha/zords at first, I dunno why, but they really grew on me as I watched the show. Still wish I had actually managed to pick up that full line. I only ever got the first megazord from it.

Edit: I loved the Mystic Force zords, maybe it is my love of fantasy creatures.

Mystic Force's zords are awesome. Like, Mystic Titan is super awesome and I recommend it to anyone.
And I didn't like Magiranger or MF :lol

I also like the horse (Though mine is incomplete), and I really want to get Wolzord with the black horse~

I loved the dragon mode too haha

The RPM zords weren't horrible, just sorta eh. But they were absolutely the start of the big, blocky, simplistic designs that haven't really let up since.

I can agree with that, yeah, what followed definitely was a shift.

I still give mad props to the team for making those designs work with the setting and the story they were telling AND managed to make it make sense.

Seriously, if they wanted to do a spider zord, why insist on calling it a mastodon? It seems like they want the MMPR recognition, but they really don't.

If they wanted to make it a Spider zord, why didn't they just make it a Spider zord? They didn't have to base the movie of MMPR. Most people would've been fine with it...

well i was hoping that the warp's little plot synopsis was well a little off this goes and prove that goldar will be well a super putty made of gold a lot of gold. It does look interesting though let's see where this movie goes.

...You know, more and more this film is doing that thing where it can't seem to decide whether it wants to be it's own thing or just do it's damnedest to tick off fans.

I'm starting to really understand the serious Transformer fans more... extreme reactions to the Bay movies, as I'm only casually involved there. This? This is kind of my thing, and... yeah, this seems to be a bunch of Hollywood types trying to cash in on a bunch of nostalgia, except their also cashing in on the cash-in...

Geez, for someone who started with Lost Galaxy, it is strange to find Goldar of all things being my breaking point. Maybe it's because I can't see the connection at all here, other than the obvious "they're both GOLD with wings and a sword!!!!" Like... why are we putting Goldar into the position of major plot point, writers?

I dunno, but I'm not going to go see this movie in theaters. Hell, I question whether I'll even rent it just to see what it ends up being.

Lionsgate is teaming up with Qualcomm to bring a Power Rangers Movie virtual reality experience to the International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in 2017. With this, the particpants will be able to use the virtual reality machine, 3d images, and video to "step into the zords" of the movie.

Before watching the commercial, seriously thought it was suppose to be a weird melting gold version of their Megazord. Don't know how to feel about this design. There isn't anthing on it. I know that, usually, the toys don't have every detail of the actual character but...really? Apart from a few spikes (?) and the melting look, not a lot to it. It looks like a humanoid dragon just got out of King Midas' bath.

I'll wait till they release actual promo footage/pictures of Goldar to get a real opinion but so far, not digging it.
