I think the problem is Build's torso is too simple in construction, since he was the first kit in the line, so that entire chunk needs to be replaced? I mean, not having one myself either, it's hard to tell, but that definitely looks an awful lot like two big pieces of black plastic that go together in the most obvious way possible.

Although if that's the case, it's actually sorta neat in that it makes it clear just how much this line has grown in scope over time; like that Build was just some random thing Bandai put out, probably prepared for it not to go anywhere, and now they're including elaborate adaptor pieces with other kits to make it cross-compatible with line-wide display options.

You love to see it! The price of SHFs had long since made me give up on getting all 20 Heisei Riders, but then FRS announces all this and here I am today; picking up Zi-O and Kiva ridewatch stands specifically for that eventual display

Just checking out my kits, and, yeah, Build is a problem. Everyone else has the belt/driver go on as a seperate piece, so it can be replaced, while Build's driver connector is molded to his groin piece. You'd have to swap out the entire groin, rather than just pop off the torso and swap in the new belt connector. Here's a not-great comparison between Build and Faiz:

All of the black plastic on Build's groin is one piece. (EDIT: Pulled it apart, and it's two pieces, front and back. Sorry!) Blue sticker on his right side, red sticker on his left side, yellow sticker for the belt. Every other kit (IIRC) has the belt go on above the groin.

That groin piece on Build needs a red and blue sticker on the original figure, as well as a sticker for the belt strap. Something tells me the Decade kit isn't going to come with those stickers. It's going to look a little off without them and they're not fun to paint. Hopefully it does include a little sticker sheet for that part specifically.

I mean considering they are going the length to include a brand new hip piece, they will probably include the stickers, just to keep the cohesiveness.

That picture also made me realise I totally forgot that each Decadriver has a differently coloured belt -- standard uses white, Neo uses black. And unfortunately it seems without painting, there's no white belt for Heisei phase 2s; or more importantly, no black belt for Heisei phase 1s.

On the plus side, it seems they use the same molding for the Decadriver attachment; so you could put a Neo Decadriver on a white belt and a standard Decadriver on a black belt. So that's something!

So from the pics does the card reader actually rotate or you have to pop it off and reposition it or place it on an opened decadriver piece?

I think the latter is the case. Lots of display options, not as much playability.

At least they give you options, and i mean at least the engineering isnt too crazy thanks to the way these kits do things, so conversely the price isn't crazy either.

Wait, I thought Decade's belt is always silver?

Not the neo one, on that the buckle and the belt were black. I have the detail of heroes for decade and in some scenes the belt was blacks some silver for neo. i never watched zi-o so idk why that is.

Yeah, i felt that was odd, so i popped out my copy of the revamped detail of heroes decade that was released post zio, and looks like the black straps are just the silver straps being covered with the booker and us only seeing the black connection pieces near the buckle, which were on the original and neo, pic and angles just are bad on the images online. Even the neo decadriver on the cover has silver straps like the original. So maybe the black straps in the kit are for you to sticker or paint silver im guessing, cause they aren't supppsed to be black.

I think what messed with you was seeing builds black waist piece. Cause thata the only black strap, So probably it will need a sticker or paint to be the proper silver. The build crotch piece got me for a sec too lol.

How is this Kuuga different from the first one?

Much like the Ver. Decade SHF, this Kuuga features a metallic red finish instead of the gloss red to simulate how Kuuga's suit looked in Decade's show. This one also comes with stickers of his symbol to reproduce the mark that he imprints on his opponents when he kicks them.

So his body lines are stickers! Fair enough, it's hard to see it turning out any other way. Otherwise most of his stickers seem to be for his weapons, which is fair enough.

What interests me most though is this bit here -- they do indeed use a single sticker each for the eyes that just goes over the slats no problem apparently. The reviewer doesn't note anything about it according to auto-translated subs - only noting the slats were a bit tough to put in - so I'm very curious what magic is pulled off here.

This sticker sheet is giving me Build PTSD. Too many parts with several colors on them that come as stickers. This is going to be a multi-day paint job.

Honestly I'll just paint the black stripes, I messed up Build pretty bad due to the multicolor bs.

Am I missing something? The stickers look fine. What multicolor stuff are you concerned about? The Ridebooker?

edit: after watching the video, I think the worst stickers are the pink blocks on the sides of his bicep. They have to fold and conform and they really stand out to me.

The ride Booker, kneecaps, upper arm and just dealing with any crevices that have the black in them.

Edit: plus after watching a couple videos it looks like the upper leg part may have a wrap around black stripe sticker at the bottom. I'm sure there will be a couple more surprises as we see more.

Judging by the shapes of those pieces, I'm guessing the black bits that slot in sit totally flush with the rest of the head when they're clicked in properly, so the eyes are essentially one flat surface? And then it just looks like you can still see the slats through the stickers because of the sculpting on the clear pieces over top? I'm like 99% sure that's what's going on, but the effect looks so seamless in that video it's pretty impressive if that's really the case.

That pretty much is what is happening. Each piece has enough of a groove that once its placed in, it creates the slot for the visor perfectly, fitting the sticker. And the size of each slotting piece looks to be enough to sit flush with the head. So, you are right.

Also a question, is it possible to melt a clear plastic runner and reshape it? I have some hard clear yellow runner from faiz that i was hoping could be melted to make the yellow piece on decade's helmet. Would it be toxic? And are the markings for decades belts stickers, or waterslides?

It's just a triangle, right? You could probably just use nippers to get the piece you want. If that doesn't work, you probably have enough material from the Faiz visor for a couple attempts if you want to try to melt it down.

I mean i want to keep the visor cause i built the kit, but i have the runner left over. Idk how big the triangle will be on decade, so i just want to be prepared. If its super tiny, ill probably be able to get a piece for the triangle easily from the runner, but the area is so small, there are not many flat surfaces. Its also the smallest part of a multicolored runner, thats the problem.
