Per toy packaging, the combination of Tarantula Knight & King-Ohger will be known as- "Extreme King-Ohger."

I?m really eager to see that combo and how much of the spider separates. I?ll be bummed if it?s just a big backpack like the final combo implies.

We can be sure that at least the blaster separates for Extreme King-Ohger.

Wonder what's gonna take for Gira to learn & develop in becoming a real king? I'd imagine after overthrowing Racules, he'll be educated throughout the season, between the tradition and the modern ways.

He's gonna need a better servant that the two servants Racules has.

Plus, while on the throne, he'll slowly learn everything before earning the gold ranger power.

Kinda bummed it's just a backpack. I guess the more evenly distributed armour all comes from the fortress/caucasus beetle.

I think it'd be way more interesting if the ShuGods had different configurations rather than only having the one form of integration with King Ohger. You can kind of see how the articulation for this mecha was prioritized over the combinations, with the stag beetle forming the skeleton of the whole mecha and everything else just adding over it. I get it, it means that the articulation is preserved in the higher combos unlike DonBrothers, but it' not terribly interesting. On the plus side, King Ohger is such a good base mecha that even if the other combinations are just weapons and armour add-ons it's till a fun figure.

And besides, articulated Sentai mecha are still a pretty new thing, so maybe next year we'll see the combinations be more involved whilst maintaining articulation.

The feet over the shoulders remind me of Torso Mode Energon Inferno/Roadblock (Inferno Volt).

We'll never get LEGO mecha like the Kishiryu ever again.

I don't need Lego mecha, I just meant that we don't have any auxiliray mecha that have more than a single combined configuration. The Kabuto is always the arm cannon, the scorpion is always the claw, etc.

I don't trust Boshimar, but I think Douga seems like a pretty decent guy if you look beneath his intimidating appearance. He often speaks out against Racles' actions and genuinely wants to set a good example for his son. If Gira became the new king, I'm sure Douga would be honored to serve him for the good of Shugoddam and the people.

It's not much, but I think Extreme King-Ohger's golden helmet completes the look with all the other golden parts. Same with Don Onitaijin Kiwami moving Don Robogokuu's head to make the arms more balanced.

Such a good idea that was sadly underutilized. All those ports and yet the ultimate Gattai only has 3 components. I've seen fanmade Gattais on YouTube that look awesome! It's a shame Toei weren't so creative with the possibilities.

Gotta say Tarantula being a backpack is kinda disappointing especially after Donbrothers combination mech was not great.
Perhaps they could’ve had Tarantula become the new legs, with Mantis and Hornet becoming the new arms.

Oh yeah, it looks fine. Maybe if Legend King Ohger wasn't a thing, and each of the golden mecha were only used individually. Then the Tarantula brings everything together.

Just make it CGI like Good Cool Kaizer VSX. Problem solved!

I'm surprised we haven't taken bigger advantage of the demi Shu-Gods' potential placement.
There's spots all over both King Ohger and Tarantula Knight for them to clip on, but...Nawh. THey all just stay in the same spots like normal.

And I'm not the biggest fan of Tarantula Knight just becoming a backpack. Would've at least been nice if the feet hanging off the shoulders could've been adjusted to look like claws, since as it is, it just looks silly.

I wonder if repaints of the Demi Shugods will be available. King-Ohger Taxi would certainly be interesting to make, at least with the toys.

I feel like the Kabuto cannon and Snail gattling would look great up on Tarantula's legs as over-the-shoulder guns.

I'm definitely going to look for a fan combo that better utilizes the connections. It also really bugs me that the spider butt just gets held in the hand, not even pointing forward.

You know, with all the open space on God Papillion, I was kind of expecting the tarantula's abdomen would be able to plug into Papillion. Bummer

I like God / Knight Tarantula by itself but the combined mode with King Ohger is not for me.

Will pass on this and all other upgrades, doesn't seem worthwhile to me to keep going since the idea going forward is obviously "just plaster more stuff around the core robot" which I find boring.

I don't get it, what's different? Just the way the Tarantula's arms are down instead of up? I'd hardly call that a fan combo so much as a mistransformation. :lol

After getting my set from Amazon Japan yesterday afternoon, what I found is you really have to have all the joints in the hips, knees, & ankles in the correct position to be able to balance weight of the new backpack. It also helps to have Tarantula Knight in the correct positioning as well. I used the Official Bandai video on getting the correct position for everything.
Once I had all the joints in place, Extreme King-Ohger has no problems standing at all.

Thanks! I also find it's more stable than the stock Extreme because there's less on the back and more weight towards the front.

That is so much better than the official configuration damn, how could Bandai not think of this? Using God Kabuto as a shoulder canon and using the underground demigods as reinforcements for the sword is genius!

Yeah, if the Snail didn't have that little awkward bump it'd be perfect.

Only kind of not-so exciting parts were putting the pillbug and Tarantula gun in Tarantula's hands and still just having them chill out. The pillbug is unavoidable because it's a chain/flail weapon, but I wish the gun could go somewhere else.

I think you're on to something, but I will say the additions to the grasshopper don't look like the arms of the fortress but instead the gold back panels. (the panels on the front of the fortress) The whole head and back, with the three horns and row of "pipes," seem to be one part that transforms into head and torso armour.

Also I just noticed that the mantis and bee actually aren't directly attached to the stag beetle in the final combo, instead having an intermediary piece to extend the legs beyond just the platform shoes.

Agreed with both points! Sorry if I didn?t communicate the chest well. I?m assuming the chest with the pipes detail and the horns will connect the same way the head does on the main combination. As for the intermediate part my current theory is that those knee extensions are the torso of the castle robot. There?s chrome detail on the insides of the legs of the final combination that I think matches up to the chest accent. Also it looks like the torso of the castle robot splits anyways.

I also caught the attachment for the scorpion being different. I? haven?t really figured that out yet.

Side note. During this I tried turning the contrast on the castle robot way up and it looks like the inside of the lower legs are hollow so I’m assuming the whole thigh and hip joint folds in there.

I think you did a great job! And yeah you're right, the castle's robot chest is definitely on the legs. It seems the gold face of the castle and the gold chest plate are two different parts.

You're right on about the legs. In fact it looks like the whole thing does quite a bit of transforming to form the armour. Way more than Tarantula just becoming a backpack, and it really seems like this is the combo it was all planned for.

I really hope there's a movie mech. Those seem to have gone by the wayside recently.

You're right. The Reiwa Era seems to be totally devoid of those so far. Would be nice if King-Ohger could rectify that.
