Even more of Hajime's backstory and it was glorious, they also explained that the Rider system is based on Joker which makes sense, and we learn more about the fate of the Battle Fight ...damn with this inforamtion in hand Tachibana makes a decision, he'll seal Joker.

Also forogt to mention that I love Garren Jack form, a peacock with a gun bayonet, that's awesome.

As per my terrible habit of watching some things out of order, I watched the Decade/Den-O movie and got used to Kohana before I started Den-O proper. So it was weird taking that step backward, storywise. As for toys, I grabbed the Naomi/Kohana set off Mandarake by accident (I was ordering a bunch of stuff and forgot to take it back out of my cart). I think that was SIC and not SHF though. I grabbed a Momotaros DX SHF off Mandarake this week fairly cheap.

A little more topical: I just finished Den-O 40. Aren't there like a gazillion additional Den-O films for me to watch when I finish the series itself?

Blade 33: King is an enjoyable villain, he is so happy being chaotic and stuff, Kenzaki is still the focus and I love that, also Trial D? meh...

34: 10, Jack, Queen, King, Ace. Royal Straight Flush!

35: Ikahura Umi joins the show, Umi... and a water undead debuts too, what are the odds? Jealous Hirose :lol and Trial E.
What was supposed to be so awesome about this episode?... OMG CHALICE UNDEAD!!!!!

36: Man Leangle is an idiot and Hajime is going berserk. Also many things could be easily solved if Tachibana spoke with the other guys.
Next time Wild Chalice. looking forward to it.

Final Countdown is the only good one, IMO.

The best Den-O movie was I'm Born.

I'm watching more of OOO, Wario would be the perfect villain in this.

37: Evolution! Wild Chalice!
As we learn more about the secrets of King Form, Kenzaki struggles to recover Chalice's cards. And Tachibana drinks some milk, because... stuff.

Although I wasn't a big fan, of course.

The show was slow, the characters poorly realised and the fight scenes pathetic. And when a character who was actually good finally appeared, he died I think three episodes after his introduction? And with the first interesting thing ripped out of my hands almost immediately I'd had enough.

Den-O 44-47: Kai really is the most bland, slightly annoying, and forgettable villain I've seen in a Rider series yet (granted I only have a handful under my belt). Also, Kiiiiintaroooooooos!

Sad to hear you didn't enjoy it, and if you are talking about Shima, I agree, the guy should have lasted more.

No his name was...Kiryu I think? Been a while now, he was a badass with a robotic hand and a black and white version of justice. He also became Leangle and fucked shit up.

Been watching more Kabuto, on episode 25 now. Dang this is getting good! Im so glad Kagami has finally become Gatack

Ohh that guy, yeah he's called Kyryu, I didn't like him much perosanlly, his arc was nice but the character didn't do it for me.

Blade 39: Shiori learns about her "father", Hajime is doing well and it seems like Mutsuki character development will finally go somewhere, maybe.

I figured that's who you were talking about, the original candidate for Garren.

Yeah man, the one well written and realised character in the show so far, and he died in the first full episode of him as a Rider. What a crock of horseshit.

I found him to be written in a cliche and dull. The "Black and white justice" style of character I've always found to be painfully boring, primarily because they're never written uniquely or well.

The difference for me was that he was round just long enough to be the only consistent character of the bunch.

Garren had these huge soap opera moments, that were completely self contained and barely mentioned, if at all, as soon as they finished. Kenzaki was, like many Riders of that time period, almost completely disconnected from Blade. That little girl who Chalice loved deserve a good fucking hiding, and then who was there? Oh yeah those two side characters, one of which does nothing but drink milk and the other who looks cute and shouts 'UNDEADOOO' at her computer.

I liked Chalice I guess, but between that one episode where he randomly spoke goobledygook and how every episode his personality never lined up, I was just as fed up of him.

Blade 40: Four of a kind! Aces together!
That was awesome! Plus Shiori finally deals with her past.

Just realized the Riders here don't have compound eyes, that's different.

Honestly while I shared many of your complaints, (though to a lesser degree) the truth is that most of those things are adressed and improved once the show hits episode 31

Shiori and Kotaro get their arcs, Kenzaki becomes more of the spotlight and Garren's and Chalice's development realy pays off.

Thirty one episodes is a ridiculous amount of episodes to watch of a show you don't like.

True, but I really liked the show before that even with it's flaws.

I'm just saying that for the people that enjoyed the show things really pay off.

That's all fine. I just never liked the black and white characters, what's his name from Blade being no exception.

While the concept of a black and white character is nice, the execution is lacking on almost every occasion I've seen them.

As for the cast of Blade, you're free to feel that way. I'm glad they didn't turn it into a soap opera. The characters felt like adults and acted as such (Even milkboy, outside of his milk thing).

Even Tachibana joined him on his milk love once, milk is Tachibana approved, can't fight against him. :p

I personally felt that Kiryu or whatever was an incredibly pointless inclusion. So much so that I vaguely remember his existence but I have no memory of what happened to him...

I don't have any real complaints at the moment, few things could have been fleshed out better and the pacing has been a little random/sporadic but these are minor flaws in what is otherwise shaping up to be one of my favourite series (10 episodes to go though so I guess that could go either way).

41: Hey Mutsuki had a girlfriend, fogot about her, the Battle Fight is explained further only the riders can seal this time on, the true objective of the BF is different this time. And Titan enters the stage.

42: As Mutsuki's arc continues we see more of Nozomi and Tiger, I'll miss you. Leangle's struggle continues as the Shima and Tiger release him from the Spider.

Finally! Thank God.

Tomorrow is the last batch of Blade, all that's left after that is "Blade vs Blade" and "Missing Ace"

For such an overused story, bad guys copies the heroes, I felt it was done well and showed how far have these guys gone since the start of the show.

I watched Black Episode 4 just now, and it was another solid episode I love Kotaro. I'm just not sure what I am in the mood for right now, I might jump around to see what tickles my fancy.

Im lovin it too. There hasnt been a Rider series yet I hate. Ok one. But still, when the hell is the reissue Kabuto SHF gettin released? I really want one!! :lol
