The Rider cameos in movies always felt out of place. Like Double's cameo in Decade's movie (And him being far stronger in the movie than in series).

Anyway, I have a desire to watch A To Z now (As well as OOO Wonderful, for some reason...)

OOO Wonderful is the only Kamen Rider film I've actually properly enjoyed.

Really? Huh. Why is that?
I'm not saying that you should enjoy all the Rider movies, but I'm curious to know what it was about OOO Wonderful that separated it from the bunch.

It is one of the only Kamen Rider films that felt truly cinematic, and not just like a PS2 game cut scene. The ending was great. The movie actually understood the characters, which blew me away in itself, as I watched the Fourze cast got wrong in every single movie they were included in. It knew how to please fans of the show, without pandering. The acting was great. The heart was even greater and the action was epic.

Hm. I can understand that. Then again, Fourze provides excellent examples of what not to do in a movie. :p

I loved OOO Wonderful, myself (Then again, I loved OOO, too), but mainly because of the spirit it had. It was great.

I loved OOO too bro, at least when it finally got going. The slog before Date appeared is not something I'd really want to put myself through again. But yeah man, the movie had such a big heart, I loved it.

Don't worry. I've experienced something similar through Fourze and the wait for Meteor.

I felt like Fourze went to shit when Meteor appeared. I loved Meteor himself, but everything else just went to hell. Every villain was of the week, the show decided it suddenly wanted a plot and didn't have time to both set one up and end it satisfyingly and once deep and engaging characters all became flat and ridiculous.

Imo the problem is that Fourze basically became Kamen Rider Meteor once Ryuusei arrived, the show didn't have much of an overarching plot before him, so Ryuusei was the one that moved the plot most of the time, when his arc was done... there really wasn't much else to do.

It doesn't bother me much becuase I love Ryuusei but it is dissapointing.

That's fair enough. I found the quality dip to be around Meteor Storm's introduction, myself. Primarily because Meteor vanilla had the Cancer and Aries Zodiart arcs.

Yeah, and suddenly the show just started regurgitating arcs it'd already done just with new villains while it tried to work out what to do with itself next. By the end the show was pure nonsense and so paper thin it was hard to care anyway.

Meteor Storm sucks almost as much as Beast Hyper. Actually considering the curtain rail beyblade, I'd say more.

At least Beast Hyper has a gun :lol

Yeah the last few eps were quite boring for the biggest part, I liked the ending though.

Haven't watched Wizard yet so I can't comment, as for Storm as weird as his design was the rod wasn't such a bad weapon and Meteor Storm Punisher was a visually impressive finisher.

If they had to give Ryuusei a weapon, nunchucks probably would have made more sense.

Watched the Den-O hyper battle dvd and the first three episodes of the imagin anime, lots of fun! :) I liked the hyper battle dvd and the imagin anime was all kinds of awesome. Nice way of watching more Den-O.:D

I thought the ending blew chunks, personally.

Although Punisher was cool looking, it was also generic as hell, and with Meteor's asymmetric design, hand to hand Bruce Lee powers, one thing Meteor never was was generic. His upgrade felt like a step backwards, not forwards.

So when I started watching Decade, I didnt really beleive anyone when I was told about the differing worlds, I knew about but wasnt sure. Until I had already seen Kabuto and just saw the Decade version. Wow. They had nothing from the original, Kagami was still Gatack but that was that, Im not even sure if "Souji" was Tendou or not. And Mayu, they just combined Hiroyi and Juka into one. That wasnt forced at all.

The only notable aspect of the Kabuto world in Decade is that we get to see the famous grandmother.

That was cool, but other than that... Id have prefered seeing something to the original. I felt like I was watching GSL all over again. :lol

It's kind of a shame. The concept of a character in Kabuto being permanently stuck in "Clock Up" mode is actually a rather interesting one.

Reminded me of that episode of Kim Possible where her and Rufus get stuck wearing those shoes that make them stay in superspeed time. :lol

I actually liked the Kabuto arc (and for future reference, "Tendou" is Tendou's family name; his personal name is "Souji"). I liked Mayu more than I did Hiyori (who I began to hate after what she did to Dark Kabuto), and I thought the story was decent. It was a stand-out arc for me, but I can understand why some people won't like it.

I liked the Kabuto arc in everything but execution. It had a neat premise and decent characters, but it was just done so poorly.

So what the hell is going on now that Decade and Co. are back in "the original world" so to speak?

It won't last, thought that the Heisei worlds were weird? Anything after that just gets crazier/stupider.

I briefly return to the world of Blade, it's time to speak about Missing Ace:

Missing Ace is an AU Rider movie which shows an alternate ending to the TV series, the main difference: Kenzaki sealed Hajime.

From there we jump 4 years forward and boy things have changed, Kenzaki has another low-pay job, Mutuski wants to be a salaryman, Kotaro's book is now a best seller and Shiori is engaged? WTF? Also Karasuma is dead and Tachibana leads the new Riders

Oh yeah there's a new generation of Riders: Glaive, Larc and Lance, who are criminally underused and felt quite pointless in the grand scheme of things, Undead are also back, and with them a new Joker. Whose identity was far too obvious...

But besides those things, it worked, it was avery emotional movie that showed a very bittersweet "What if?" are things truly better without Kenzaki in the real ending? both timelines have their strong points and their sad things, but this movie showed perfectly that sometimes as hard as we try, there's not a third choice, and we gotta face life as it comes to us.

A beautiful way to say goodbye to the world of Blade...

If you've seen Blade, you'll recognize his brother as Junichi Shimura, Kamen Rider Glaive in Blade: Missing Ace, reprising his role in DCD.

Nope, havent seen Blade, but damn it he looks familar.

But anyone else notice that house and the outfit matches that of G Den-O from the Episode Yellow movie? Or is that just me. :lol

I always forget that those three came back for Decade.

Blade vs Blade is really funny and awesome. However Blade Missing Ace was the worst thing I've watched all year, totally ruined how Blade ending. However I'm a Chalice fan so I'm slightly biased

I watched Kuuga 6 and 555 6 to see which I wanted to watch. I love the Dragon form of Kuuga and really getting into the characters and story. Faiz I'm really liking Takumi and the characters in this too. I'm going to watch Black a bit and still figure out what to watch

That's the magic of AU movies, they are simply "what if?" stories, it's simply meant to be an alternate view of the events, we can simply ignore them if we don't like them.
Personally I felt that the movie showed Hajime's personality very well, after all in the series he was pefectly willing to get sealed, had it not been for Kenzaki's plan he would have ended very similar to the events of the movie. and there's no doubt he would do anything for Amane.

Of course the TV ending is way better, and the true version of the story.

And yeah I remember watching Blade Vs Blade a long time ago, mostly out of curiosity, it was fun, but I really need to rewatch it.

Using Kotaro's book as the framing device to explain the powers of the riders made a lot of sense and felt very natrual, though as a side-effect, it feels odd that he uses their real names. And anything after that was simply funny, nobody can recognize the true Kenzaki. And even after they do it comes across as insulting :lol

Tachibana and Mutsuki fighting over whose card helped Kenzaki the most was great too.

Man... I'll miss these guys a lot.

Fortunately for you, Blade: Missing Ace is an Alternate Universe. Every Heisei Rider movie up until Den-O's (Arguably Kabuto's) is, so you can completely ignore it with no repercussions!

Kiva and OOO's are, too. Possibly Wizard, but I don't know about that one.

I'm pretty sure he was using Heisei as separate from Neo-Heisei.

Which is why I said "Up until Den-O", with the implication that Rider movies after Den-O are canon to their series.

Anyway, isn't Wizard's movie's selling point that it's occurring in some kind of alternate universe? Granted, I only know what I've seen from the trailers at the end of episodes...
