That's... weird. That's the sort of definition I'd apply to thing like figures or clothing or something; rather than just accessing the piece of media in question.

Yeah, but just because it's considered only for "diehard fans" doesn't mean they should be charging for it out of somewhere I won't mention. You can buy a Flash DVD with more run time than a whole Kamen Rider season for about £20 on Blu Ray. Even if the economy is different, I don't think the price should be that blown up.

Yea, physical media in general is becoming more and more of a collector's item as opposed to being the default thanks to streaming and digital copies being vastly cheaper, so it's not surprise that the first KR Saber collection's that expensive.

Again, if you simply want to watch the show, there are many other ways to do so.

And you can watch hundreds of hours of quality serial content on Youtube for what is essentially free, so why would I buy a Flash DVD for £20?

I understand that media is not made in a vacuum, but just because one company decides to price something one way, does not mean another has to follow suit. You can only "undercut" competition if your product is largely identical. That's not a value proposition for a piece of entertainment that people have put a lot of work into, that is capitalism creating a relationship in which TV shows (and video games) are costing more and more to produce while the people consuming it are paying less and less.

Yeah, if I want to keep it for two seconds. Physical media is the only way to actually have ownership of something and not pay for it on a constant basis, so insane prices like this would just tempt me to buy a few USB sticks and pirate everything.

Even if you physically own a DVD, you merely own the rights to watch it. It's less inalienable than say, owning a digital copy under a streaming platform, but its still just the rights the watch it, technically revocable by the rights holder whenever they choose.

I think we can all agree that Japanese companies are still a bit behind when it comes to digital distribution and access.

I really wonder what the last Seiken elemental is? We have Fire, Water, Lightning, Earth, Wind, Sound, Darkness, Light, Void, and Smoke. Maybe Time, Space, or Matter?

There's a good chance that it's time. It's the only common/typical magic "element" really left. Granted Void and Smoke aren't common/typical magic elements.
