Having upgraded my phone to Android 12 I'm
getting Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster to play.

Once Pokemon TV fully adds Ultimate Journeys on
Pokemon TV they'll likely move Sun And Moon into
rotation.

I own Indigo league - Ultra Legends on DVD.

I'm gonna choose to have faith in this as Hideaki Itsuno is supervising and the worst thing that man did was made DMC2 functional in like the last few months of development, love the look Dante has here, a lovely mishmash of his outfits over the years and the crazed look in his eyes showing it's real early in the timeline for me, especially as he doesn't seem to have Ebony and Ivory

I don't know. The anime of the 2000s bore little resemblance to games, but was a pleasant action movie in the mistical procedural style. It?s too early to talk about the plot here, but Dante reminds me more of Vash The Stampede than himself. Also noticeable is a common problem in modern anime where characters appear to move against a green screen background.

Held a literary meeting dedicated to my book “Shadow Girl” and children’s fantasy in general, with 4th and 5th grade students. If I'm not mistaken, this is your last year of primary school and first year of middle school. As a result, I am tired, but happy and even inspired. All the children were very active and interested; they asked a lot of questions, sometimes even very tricky ones. The staff and teachers also greeted me joyfully and promised further cooperation. full story which the last part released 3 and a half years ago in 2019.

The future PR season will be part of the current universe from the past seasons ?

Rumors say Hasbro is planning a reboot. But it seems to me that the previous seasons will still be remembered, if not next, then after a couple of years.

I watched Takeshi's Castle 2023. Well, the show, of course, has changed in both budget and format, but at its core it remains the same. It’s just that it’s become noticeably cleaner, but it’s not because of the dirt that you’re looking at it. I like the return of old members and staff, the combination of the past and the new. And also that the participants are no longer just living crash test dummies. I read that there was some kind of scandal with English commentators, but I successfully avoided it. So, those who are interested and who like this format of the show can watch it.

I'm watching The Skywalker Saga on DVD and have
one more movie (Episode IX).

As a whole the Skywalker Saga story is solid start to finish.

My thing is I look at all 9 together as a whole rather than the sum
of it's parts.

So even if we do get Episode X and it doesn't connect to
the Skywalker Saga and starts a sort of next chapter
I would likely wait till completion to watch it.

This show has Subaru Kimura aka the voice of the Seiza Changer and Vice in it btw.

Anyone had a good Halloween yesterday?

I mostly just stayed home and watched Halloween Movies while trying to not get sick. So, I'd say I had a good one.

I’m like a month late to the convo, but I saw people discussing the revival of Takeshi’s Castle on here: What a great show!

As an American I only ever got to see MXC, so seeing Takeshi’s Castle was mind blowing. There was all kinds of plot and lore that MXC never bothered to explain, lol. Also they had a lot of great Japanese comedians show up on there too. The revival was fantastic.

As for scary movies: I subscribed to the Criterion Channel and went through their playlist of High School Horror. Some pretty interesting movies in there. For example, I never watched The Craft before, but that was a lot of fun. There’s also a movie from the 70s on there called Massacre at Central High that really impressed me. And there’s Battle Royale on there too for some reason. That one’s always worth watching, and Beat Takeshi is in it too. It all comes full circle!

I completely agree with you! Now I dream of watching the Japanese episodes of the original show, because the cuts, as for me, missed the most interesting part. And when I read in Takeshi Wiki that there was an episode with Ultramen and Kaiju...

Battle Royale has many genres. Horror is one of them, although far from the main one. Apparently, the film was added by tag.

They straight up had Liveman Cosplay make it on to Takeshi?s Castle and then it got included on MXC too. Of course, MXC did not acknowledge it. I?m assuming some sort of cosplay episode for Takeshi?s castle. The blue one in the pic is Paaman apparently. I had to ask my friend for confirmation.

One other toku connection I can think of aside from Subaru Kimura is Hayato Tani who played Sugata in Maskman being General Tani in the original and the reboot. :lolol

Oh I did not know the captain had Tokusatsu cred too! Haha. Just from watching MXC I was surprised to see that guy was an enemy of Takeshi. I thought they were buds because of the wag MXC depicted it, lol.

Has anyone watched the live action Rohan at the Louvre on Amazon Prime? It is a movie continuation of the live action Kishibe Rohan series that was scripted by all time Tokusatsu GOAT - Kobayashi Yasuko (she also wrote the good seasons of the Jojo anime, so that?s probably why she got the job too). The movie is fantastic, in addition to the all-time great writer it also stars Kyoryu Violet and Issey Takahashi who did the voice of Shin Ultraman. It?s a great film that amazon did a really bad job of promoting, imho.

Also while I am spamming movie recs with tokusatsu actors - Signal 100 - it?s pretty much a mini Ex-Aid reunion with Kamen Rider Brave and Parado?s actors starring. The plot: uh it?s basically Battle Royale with some goofy tweaks. I had fun. It?s on Amazon?s Freevee service in the US if anyone is interested.

The same Takahashi who played Kai in Zyuranger aka Bandora's son. :lolol

Haha! I did not know that about Takahashi. He’s a very interesting actor. Very effective at playing an absolute psychopath like Rohan.

If you watch enough Tokusatsu shows watching Japanese movies or J-dramas becomes a lot more fun. Just constantly recognizing people.

I think everyone knows that there are fake branded items. I recently learned that branded bags are sold for those who want to better disguise their fake. But what really blew my mind was that these bags... are also counterfeit. And not as part of a fake, but by themselves! I don’t know, maybe this is something obvious, but, as for me, this is a particularly advanced form of commodity fetishism.

Big YIKES !!!! I am not even gate keeping, in the gyms I’ve used in the past 30 years, and the lifters I’ve been influenced by,only weak-minded pathetic losers use hormones/gear/steroids to work out with. That is the acceptance level across the board for those that chose to cheat to win. And your body will pay down the road. So lame. I mean REALLY BAD FOR YOU, but you do you, and remember, if it WAS cool, you wouldn’t have to feel ASHAMED about it, because you KNOW it’s effed up AF.

Oh, well, since we're talking about steroids... I think everyone has the right to decide for themselves. My personal opinion: if you work out for yourself and a beautiful body, then it’s better to do without them. Because the body will not forgive such fraud and will punish it very seriously. But if you are an athlete or an actor/model, then you can’t do without them. Let's be honest, in big sports those who have better pharmacology win. In this case, if you ruin your body with drugs, then it’s for the sake of money, fame and medals, and not a short buzz in the company of stoned friends.

I only took steroids one for medicinal usage to give my immune system a little boost against hay fever. But, yeah, I would highly recommend staying away from them as much as possible, and especially against long-term usage.

Today I met with students of the sixth and seventh grades (I think, the second and third classes of the middle school), where I talked about my teenage fantasy novel "Shadow Girl", as well as about creativity in general. I performed in the school auditorium and it was my first experience with such a large audience. The children were very active and interested and literally bombarded me with questions (I've had this happen before, but with a much smaller number of young listeners). The event turned out to be wonderful, exciting and informative both for me and for the students. In particular, I will note the interest in horror, so I advise all horror authors to pay attention to this age category.
The meeting itself seemed positive and not overshadowed by anything. But already after it, the air alarm reminded us in what time we live. And I made sure I chose the right tone for the second part.
