Sorry to break your conversation about pretty women :p
But out of boredom I decided to rewatch Kenzaki's cameo in Decade, and yeah it makes no sense at all, Kenzaki the guy who defied fate for his friends, telling Tsukasa to leave and or dissapear because it's his fate to destroy the worlds. Way to go guys. Way to go. :lol |

Also, There was a temporary gap between his arrival (With the other 9 Main Riders) and the start of the Rider War (Where Chalice would show up), meaning that, for a brief period, there was only one Undead, meaning Joker won and the world should've been invaded by Darkroaches :p |

Okay guys and girls. I finished OOO again, and loved it again, and I'm ready for a new series.. I can either finish Kuuga, finish Kabuto, restart Faiz, or start something fresh.

And the Rider designs in Blade are amongst the best in the entire franchise, personally I simply love Leangle's, one of my favorite rider designs ever. The Jacks are awesome too. The video quality and and the early fights aren't that great though. |
Alright, gonna get back to watching Hibiki soon. Might watch Ryuuki simultaneously with it too, 'cause I feel like it.
|
Watching episode 5 of Agito right now. Seeing this thread reminded me I should keep watching. :p It's literally the only Heisei show I have left to watch.
EDIT: Made it up to episode 8. Wow - Every episode is leaving me going "... the hell?" - I sure hope some of this makes sense by the end. That said, pretty fun. I like Shoichi. |
Ryuki 1
This mirror thing is gonna confuse me for a bit...cool concept though. I like how eerie they tried to make this mirror stuff though. I mean cheap cgi isn't particularly terrifying, but the idea of some giant Tarantula living inside a mirror trying to drag you in is pretty creepy. This is the first Kamen Rider series I've seen where the main rider hasn't done jack shit after he henshins. Though he was just sorta drawn in so he rightfully has no idea what he's doing. And frankly...I don't either. I don't get this mirror shit yet. The bat/Knight dude seems cool...Not too much to say on him yet. I'll just refrain from making the obvious Batman joke. He does sorta look like that British Batman, Knight, though. |

Ryuki is one of the most excellent rider shows out there. Stick with it and you will definitely be rewarded. The show is worth it for so many reason, one of the greatest being Ouja.
|
I watched Kuuga and Faiz Episode 8 yesterday I love Yuji and Takumi and the use of them quoting their friends and what they stood for. Also Pegasus form of Kuuga looks awesome and I just love Yuusuke a lot. I'm probably going to watch both again and try to figure it out, or I'm going to finish two series concurrently.

Hibiki 10
Asumu gets bullied and learns there are jackasses in the world, bumming him out. Luckily, he seems to have cheered up by the end. Meanwhile, Hibiki and Ibuki have a sweet dual battle against a cgi rhino-turtle that fly sorta Gamera-style. Cool, but weird. Hilarious that Hibiki can't seem to ride a bike though. I wonder if he's the only Kamen Rider to be that bad at it... Quote:

And with episode 10 of Agito, things get more interesting. And even more confusing. I have a feeling this is the theme of the show.
One thing I didn't say before about Agito; Having just finished Kuuga, I'm definitely feeling a consistent vibe from Agito since it's kind of a sequel. Apart from some lines that were used at the beginning to connect the shows, the tone of this show is also very similar, the monsters continue the trend of being dangerous murderers with impossible methods, and yet it tosses in a bunch of new elements to make the show stand on its own. It's a good sequel, so far. |

...But Ryuki IS awesome. It has an EXCELLENT half-finale, and most of the mainstay riders are fairly well developed by the end. It's worth your time even when it's slow because of just how good it can be. Quote:
It doesn't. Not at all. It THINKS it does, but it really does not, and is supremely dissapointing and pretentious. Agito does not even bother to offer a single answer to it's growing mound of questions until the last ten episodes. It's, realistically, 90% 'what is going on?' filler. |

HUGE SPOILER... Don't look if you want to watch the show... God did it. Yup, that's basically it. God, or the "light Overlord" or something, made Agito because... because, and the devil or "Dark" Overlord (just the Light Overlord in black clothes) doesn't like it because... because. So he stands around doing nothing while Agito stands around doing nothing until a monster attacks. My main problem with Agito (and this is evident at the point you're at so it's not really spoilers) is that Agito himself is, well, a terrible person. He doesn't give a shit about the scads of people who die. He only care sabout himself and those immidiately close to him. Oh, and his stupid tomatoes. He doesn't even fight for any reason besides... they need to put the rider stuff somewhere. He just goes on automatic and barely EVER mentions the fact that he can turn into a pointy bug thing. The only sympathetic characters are the G3 goons, but they're rarely given the spotlight they deserve as heroes who care about life. Also Gills. Minor spoiler: He's just kinda there. He spends most of his time screaming and also not doing anything. No kidding. I've heard people say he has the "best story of any secondary rider" and I just tilt my head. I have no idea what his purpose was. Sorry, some risidual Agito frustatial spillage. I just can't get over how a show so boring and pretentious is hailed as a masterpiece. IT'S A MASTERPIECE 'A' SOMETHIN' ALRI- |
So I finished Decade, eh. I mean it finally got good, when it ends! ONORE DECADE! WHy the hell did it end when we FINALLY get to this all out Rider vs. Decade war theyve been hinting at since episode 1? THe hell?

And don't listen to SPLIT LIP, Malunis. Agito is a fantastic show and while it does have some plot holes, the majority of it comes together by the end. |
I finished watching OOO again the other day, but I wanted to gather my thoughts before posting what I thought. About my thoughts that I thought.
You can't help but feel sorry for Uva. He didn't really want power, he didn't want to kill anyone, he just wanted to be complete and survive. And always ended up getting screwed over by everyone. Ankh, Maki, Kazari. When he went insane though it was kind of weird he became one of the Angels from Evangelion. (Seriously, he looks just like one of the Angels from Evangelion). The final fight was satisfying though. Ankh giving him the TaJaDor medals, fighting beside one another for the last time. I was kind of hoping for more of a climactic battle between Eiji and Maki though. They built it up through enough of the series. And yes, I know. But I still felt the feels when poor Gamel roamed the streets uselessly trying to ressurect Mezool. All in All, I enjoyed OOO as much this time as I did the first time. So much that I might rewatch Fourze. Better than watching Wizard :D |
A little question on Decade 31, how did those lasers at the background even existed?

Hibiki 11
This is the first time in Kamen Rider where bad cgi has creeped the shit outta me, although mostly because I wasn't expecting it. There was a scene where this mysterious sorceress feeds this episode's makamou some evil power-up thing and the makamou's mouth stretches into this unnatural shape. Ugh... Anyway, Asumu's problems with the whole shoplifting thing two episodes ago continue to grow. He almost got into a wacky sitcom misunderstanding with Mochida after telling her he couldn't meet at the tea shop and then her seeing him at the tea shop with the lady he helped carry groceries for...but thankfully they avoided that. Hibiki having some trouble with these new powered up makamou while Asumu accidentally discovers one of th emany secret doors in the tea house/the Oni's base. All these hidden panels and trap doors can't be too practical... I am and have always been sort of confused by the Makamou. I understand they're an ancient monster race that the Oni have always hunted down and I know that once you beat the two human sized ones, a bigass monster emerges...but I've never really been to figure out their deal. Ryuki 2 So their allotted time in the mirror world is temporary. Makes things more interesting. I'm betting someone's gonna die that way now. And this may be too early to tell...but boy, Knight seems like a smug prick! Man...Shinji just got taught a fucking lesson on the aspects of investigative journalism. He was just trying to save her. Nice to see that he has a heroic streak though. Knight seems to sort of have one too, but he's definitely an asshole for no reason. The chick helping Knight is interesting. She goes on in the hopes of finding her brother, who I assume is not quite missing because a mirror monster kidnapped him. Ryuki finally makes the contract with the dragon and Rider Kicks Tarantulas into a smoldering pile of ashes. Just in time for Knight to be a douchebag and attack him.... |

And taht doesn't amke it better, it still means the ultimate answer is "some super powerful entity did it just because, and the other entity doesn't like it just because." It's laughably underealised and juvinile and still doesn't ab solve the show of it's mountain of other faults and the fact that it is boooooooooring. Don't listen to Switchblade, Agito is dreck. It's slow, boring, there's nothign worth watching it for. No one is engaging, fun to watch, or makes you want to see what happens. The rider stuff is an afterthought and has almost nothing to do with the story overall, the action is terrible. It's completely devoid of entertainment in nearly every fashion. Even the G3 crew who are entertaining at first because they're actually proactive eventually just start going in circles and becoming idiots. There's a solid twenty episode span where nothing at all changes. It's the most grossly over-rated series I have ever watched. |
Now the question is, what is more overrated, Agito or Kuuga?

I've never heard Kuuga called "a masterpiece." |
