I thought it was tradition for a Rider to take a mortal wound to the chest and survive.

Major "oh no's" headed our way next week for certain characters. :(

Episode 11 was fantastic with great character moments, especially for the Extermination Squad, and the tag battle against Sigma was AWESOME. I love the sound design in this show.
But that ending. HOLY SHIT. I didn't expect this kind of set up. Looks like our final boss for season 1 is set, and I really didn't think it'd go down this way. I am pleasantly surprised. Gonna be an intense and heartwrenching last 2 episodes. |

Caught up through episode 10; man, this show is so good. The explanation behind Sigma is really unsettling and he makes for a great enemy. The preview for the next episode does lessen the cliffhanger a little, but I'm still really excited to see what happens next.
I freaking love this show. |

Also, while Sigma himself is a cheap tool to get Haruka and Jin teaming up, it’s rather obvious that that's just for the end of season one, there's still hope that season two will end with Alpha and Omega duking it out. |
Punched through the heart and you're to blame...
Although I am slightly sad that it's Sigma who is shaping up to be the final villain of season one. I was hoping Nozama Pharma by itself would be one like Museum or Yggdrasil. But maybe there is hope enough for season two. As for Jin, I am uncertain. A small part of me wants him to be the final villain but I find him too good a character to be the final villain. Call me immature but I always like my final villains to be irredeemable bastards whom the hero can merrily tear to shreds/shoot full of holes/reduce them to ashes. Takayama Jin is too complex a character in my opinion to be used as a final villain. But then again, this isn't your regular Kamen Rider show so it might be wrong of me to expect it to be so clear-cut after all. |
Ever since watching the Neo-Heisei riders, I always thought to myself how Toei can simplify things again and attract me to a rider show without the cool form changes or the abundance in riders. The reason I didn't enjoy Kuuga was because I just got off to finishing something like Gaim or Drive to where it was more about toys and gimmicks but, I'm glad this show came along and reminded me that a well-directed,serious Kamen Rider always beats out one with a million toys. Mini-Rant because I love this show alot and watching Ghost simultaneously along with it makes me enjoy every episode more.

Episode 10 ends with quite the cliffhanger! This show's great.
