The most I can say for the Airi Simps is that one of them had his basic character recycled to create one of the best* characters in the next season.

so looking through the way your wish artbook it seems that it isn't just a Taros thing and almost all of the imagin have their names or animal basis written on their bodies somewhere, Bat for the Bat Imagin, Kani (Crab) for the Crust Imagin, and ....frog for the Chameleon Imagin. Implying that it was originally going to be a frog monster and changed midway through designing or stopped looking like a frog.

Also The taros seem to be extreme parodies of character archetypes that Japanese youths might consider role models, the Rebel for Momotaros, and the Ladies Man for Urataros

I just love how Nirasawa's notes on the Chameleon Imagin is "Based off of The Frog Prince, but for some reason a chameleon?". :lolol

Also here are the colors for the first three imagins:

Bat Imagin
eyes: fluorescent orange
teeth: gunmetal
body: metallic violet
undersuit: semi-gloss black
claws: glossy black

Chameleon Imagin
eyes: clear violet
teeth: gunmetal
body: metallic light green
biceps and right hand: olive drab
trims: metallic violet

Crust Imagin
eyes: smoky grey
body: olive drab
feet and hands: dark red
