So then what are you implying? Dawn did lose more contests than May did, so what is the problem? May had plenty of struggles in the series if that's what you're complaining about.

Then what characters do you like in the series? You seem to be fine with Dawn for the same things you're criticizing May for. Dawn spent the majority of her run obsessed with her appearance, her vanity, and the reason she used to lose was because she was overconfident in her abilities and then got really depressed after.

And this is a character who basically got a fully evolved Togekiss for free only 2 episodes before her Grand Festival and then used it to battle her main rival. If that's not cheap development, I don't know what is.

That kind of sounds like something Linkara said in one of the Pokemon reviews.

Yeah i ended up finding Pokemon advanced episodes, this season just like the games has definitely held up.

I can't play the Hoenn games anymore. The Physical/Special split makes it too awkward to return to a game where Thunder Punch is a Special move.

Personally Ruby and Sapphire is my favorite Pokemon games. The nostalgia goggles prevent me from liking Emerald over them.

Incidentally I'm about 30 slots away from my first ever complete National Pokedex on my Black 2. It was grueling but I managed to trade for a lot of the common pokemon that I've had to breed/evolve. I have a good friend who is more than willing to Dex trade Legendaries for me to clear it. Hopefully I can be done with it before YX arrives...maybe try my hand at breeding good IV Shinies.

I really need to buy Pokemon Black and white Volume 4. I have volumes 1-3 and whenever they release a new Pokemon DVD they stop stocking the previous one.

As i playthrough Pokemon Sapphire the name Edna has really grown on me, i'm thinking of using it when X and Y come out instead of the name Gaby, which has been the name i've used in all of my characters.

Lunatone finally died in my Sapphire Nuzlocke, i'm surprised he lasted this long.

So I caught the Caterpie episode of Decolora series. It was fun and nostalgic. I think some of us might have thought this was the episode that Ash reunites with his old Butterfree based on a few flashback scenes. It wasn't quite like that but it was still a great tribute to the older fans who remembered that episode.

Also, thinking of EV training an Electric Special Attacker type Pokemon. Any suggestions?

I assume it's an episode that features another caterpie, but not the butterfree that we all know and love, right?

Ash finds a Caterpie who's struggling to evolve so he helps it out, while doing so he has flashbacks of hi's caterpie.

You know that empty feeling you get after a good long RPG because of how good and engaging the story was? Well, this is similar but not quite as fantastic.

I've been playing Pokemon since Gen 1 and this is the first time I've completed my PokeDex, bred and raised good IV Pokemon, created a competitive team for Wi-Fi battles, actively traded on GTS...And yet the simplicity of the game is still there. I look forward to the next Gen eargerly now that I have an almost full roster of Pokemon to port over and battle out in 3D.

I haven't played a Pokemon game since 2010 so I don't know whether to skip to Gen 6 or not.

What is good about Pokemon in recent years is that you don't necessarily need to port over Pokemon from your old game carts to get back your fave party from Red or Ruby. Things like Outbreaks helps narrow down lots of Pokemon from other gens and there is always a promotion for older legendaries like the shiny Dialga/Palkia/Giratina promotion. I got my hands on a Deoxys less 2 months ago and a friend perm traded me a spare Jirachi he got from his SoulSilver playthrough.

Best part of the worldwide October release is that you wont get the GTS clogged up by false trades (guys trying to PokeClone) or unreasonable demands like a Lvl 90 Reshirem for a Lotad. I'm actually looking forward to the GTS this time round.

I'm just going to assume that the only reason that never happens again is because compared to her every other girl in the Pokemon universe just seem bland in Ash's eyes.

Oh, and except for Red/Blue going into Gold/Silver and Black/White going into Black 2/White 2, no other Pokemon games are directly connected, so you don't have to play every generation.

However, R/B->G/S and B/W->B2/W2 are the only games that are direct sequels that require the player to play the previous game to fully understand the narrative, which is what I was getting at.

The Unova episodes are pretty boring, aside from a few good ones. When even bringing Charizard back can't save a season, you know its not good. The writers tried too hard to mimic Kanto with making Iris/Cilan the "new" Misty/Brock, and Ash becoming worst than he was in Hoenn/Sinnoh was a mistake.

Granted Brock became a terrible character overtime, so getting rid of him finally was good regardless.

The writers quite literally ran Misty/Brock's characters into the ground and then finally axed them after what little personality they had left.

Cilan is pretty much my favorite character on the show.

Didn't you watch a single episode of the Episode N arc? Things were more interesting in those 13 episodes than I have ever remembered.

I haven't watched Pokemon Black & White: Adventures in Unova for a while now. But I am gonna start whooping butt on X & Y in December cause I have to wait till Christmas to get me a 3DS :3.

Animal Crossing has made me jump into my official, "Any minute there's a deal" mode to get a 3DS.

I actually might wait to get the special X & Y 3DS XL if it gets a stateside release :3.

Pretty much the only way I'll upgrade to a 3DX XL is if I get a special edition one - and the X & Y one would be freaking awesome. I'd rather they import the Charizard one first, of course, but to get any more beyond the Pikachu one would be nice.

Since selling my smart phone, I use the 3DS camera, and that camera feels like a crappy digital camera from 1999.

Well, we got a little bit left to go before X & Y are released, maybe they'll do a special thing where the X & Y games are packaged with the X & Y 3DS LL in the USA, if so that would be awesome.

Game store UK has announced there pre-order exclusive item being a pokeball game case that can hold up to 3 games so fare it's a pre-order online only but I will let you guys know if its in store as well
