So aside from all the Build Fighters news it's also been confirmed that The Origin will be an animated 2014-15 series for the 35th Anniversary. Also Tomino is still working on his new project codenamed G-Reko which may or may not have anything to do with Gundam. Apparently he finds the name "Gundam" to be a nuisance and is distancing himself a bit.

I completed RG Destiny last night, and it's a pretty glorious kit. I totally dig it, high recommend from me.

I may do some decals eventually, but not any time soon, gotta go back and build RG Strike to go with the Skygrasper I build a couple weeks ago.

Looking good! Real Grades just aren't my thing though, too many little fiddly parts for my crazy shakes hands :p

my Freedom and Strike Real Grades are both pretty solid, actually.

Have you tried one? I've only built the Skygrasper and Destiny so far, but I have Strike and Freedom to do next, and I'll be ordering Char's Zaku and RX-78 one of these days soon.

I think you should give one a go, it was really enjoyable, and wasn't all that hard. I have far clumsier hands than I used to, and it wasn't too bad.

The 1/144 scale isn't really something I'm in love with. I really do tend to prefer 1/100 but it isn't always possible depending on what suit I want to build. Real Grades just look far more complex than is necessary. I just want something that's a fairly accurate representation of an onscreen appearance. I don't really need all of the slighllty differently colored panels and realistic styled articulation. I just want a good solid build. And fuck those label sheets for Real Grades :lol

HELL YEA! Very excited for Origin! Maybe Bandai will finally make a METAL BUILD RX-78. The GFFMC's aren't as articulated as Metal Build.

Not really. It's the first Gundam show that from the very beginning only exists to sell to toys and nothing else. Only interesting part is the "All Gundams" things, but mecha cameos alone does not a good show make

Well, considering that Bandai treats every series (even Turn A) as a marketing vehicle for new toys and model kits all I can say is... at least Build Fighter is being honest about it. :lol

Yes, that is how Bandai sees it, but up until now the people actually making the show were at least putting in some effort to try to be a good show before being a toy ad. Now it's sell toys first. Once a franchise does that, it's going to struggle to ever be good again.

The G-Armor from the first series was created for that purpose.

And the G-Armor is the stupidest thing in that show. You can still sell toys, but toys should never come first and the G-Armor is a good example of why.

Writing thirty minute commercials is the price you pay for getting in bed with bandai. They'll fund your work, but you have to make them money.

I am, as much as I love seeing the one year war play out again and again, something different should be nice. Like the crazy super robot shenanigans in G.

I'm actually really excited too. Some of these new "custom" suits really intrigue me. And based on the cameos we're getting in the show it looks like quite a few of my favorites designs will be getting the HG treatment. I'm probably the only person ever excited about the Dijeh :lol

Yup, but BF is a full series where Gunpla builders was a short 3 episode OVA.

They used arcade machines to scan the Gundams into the video game, but this one looks like a combination with a little bit of the dioramas they use in Danball Senki.

Original Zeta or movie remake Zeta?

Anyone excited about the MG RX-78-2 3.0? I'm kinda excited, mainly because I had such a good experience with the RG version (even though this looks pretty much like an upscaled RG...nothing wrong with that)...only problem is I have such a back log of models I gotta build.

Original Zeta. It's brutal. Tons of main and supporting characters die or are irrevocably damaged. While some of that remains in the films there's a more positive and alternate ending for Kamille.

In the series, major spoilers, Kamille's mind is crippled when he impales Sciroccos cockpit with the Zeta in waverider form. Scirocco uses his newtype powers to force every last ounce of his soul at Kamille and break his mind, erase his memories. The movies are far more positive but I really don't like the alternate ending. As bleak as the series ends it picks back up on a more positive track with ZZ.

DAMN!! Oh hell yes.

I do admit,that new Unicorn looks good.The only thing I don't like about the series though is that it's coinciding with other Gundam series and taking away from them.They need to just run one series at a time.I know Gundam is huge,but why make Unicorn an OVA? Make it a full season storyline.
