If you haven't read the manga of Super so far, the Super manga feels like sneak previews on what to come. So far Kibitoshin (Kibito Kai) has defused. So Kibito and Kaioshin (Supreme Kai) are now two begins again. Champa seems to be on a quest to Namek for the Dragon Balls.

It really makes no sense why they're skipping the arc in manga, but not in show. Like there is a lot of potential for the ROF arc in the show, to actually show and explain things better than the movie.

Also hasn't the manga just been inconsistent? Like apparently Beerus just shows up to earth like hes just there unlike the anime.

Ah anyway I'm just going to wait for the Funimation Dub or what ever for this show. I just can't stand the Japanese voices at all. They don't match the characters for me at all.

I'm surprised Viz hasn't announced they have licensed Super yet. Maybe they are going to do it after the first volume comes out.

I'm not surprised cause they never translated dragon ball sd or even yo son goku and his friend return manga adaption or any of movie tie in stuff the only manga they translate from v jump is yugioh

The Super manga is more like a sneak preview on what is going to happen in the show. The Super manga doesn't have really have a compete linear storyline to it.

Is there a place to read the Manga? Because that sounds interesting.

Personally I've found the pacing to be really horrible though.

I think Super, anime and manga, is a huge letdown. Especially after Battle of Gods which was a fantastic movie IMO. Haven’t watched the Frieza movie yet but I guess this one’s also really fun.

But Super? Animation is horrible, rewriting the movies for no reason is stupid, and the few episodes that did something new are all boring as hell.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Super is the next thing that Toriyama tries to get rid of after GT.

They shouldn’t force a comeback on such a huge franchise anyways. Make videogames, a few movies and sometimes a new manga chapter which tells some funny stories. Did we really need a new show?

That manga is awfully short.

I personally have found Super to be pretty good so far, it's the same quality as Dragon Ball Z in the Early Episodes. If you think we didn't have fights that took forever and pointless episodes in Z then you aren't remembering it right because Super is exactly like Z right now.

the thing that bugging me most is no news of BoG and ROF films being retconned due to at the point in time they are both cannon to the manga story unless news hits and states other wise

Funny enough, that is kind of how I looked at them anyway, they were a continuation of the manga, not the anime. They just fit better with the manga than they do with the anime adaptation. Super fits better with the anime version of Z but not the manga.

I just hope we still get Toriyama written movies.

I bet that if the movies never existed, people would be all over this show.

Most likely. For one thing, we wouldn't be complaining about a 2 hour battle that was done better in 12 minutes.

The female Whis is named "Vados". Beerus and Champa are twins. Champa wants to take Universe 7's Earth away and have it replaced Universe 6's Earth. To determine this they will do a "God Selection Fighting Tournament". So a multiverse tenkachi budokai from the looks of it.

Hmm... A multiverse tournament... Where have I seen that before?

I look forward to the U6 fighters. I hope they are original characters and not alternate versions of Universe 7 fighters. I don't want a Evil Goku or a Goku similar to Regime Superman.

Wow, this should have been how Super started off. What episode does this take place during because I'm ready to just give up on the show.

The Super manga takes place right after ROF. So we might not see the U6 saga after ROF. Probably not until late January at this rate. I did like tonight's episode of Super. Cool to see a episode base around Mr. Satan since he is always enjoyable to watch. It seems like he got credit from saving the world from Beerus.

I do wish that Super started right off U6 now. They could have done a 5 minute recap on what happen in BOG and ROF for the people who didn't see them. Very hype to see what Toriyama has in plan for U6 now.

Yeah the Universe 6 saga sounds exciting, as long as they don't release a movie between now and when the saga starts. I can't wait to see the Parallel Universe Warriors of Universe 6. I mean I hope they are either new characters or randomly more powered characters from our Universe in different ways.

Funimation is selling extra Dragon Boxes at Dallas Comic Con and fans are not too happy about it. Some fans feel like that they mark them up to what the scalpers are selling them for is vile.

The Dragon Boxes where made to be limited releases. They went out of print a while ago and now the after market prices for them are high. Funimation look at the ebay prices and assume that's how much they are worth now.

It doesn't matter. Funimation is the retailer and this is utter bull****. Scalping is technically illegal and now Funimation went ahead and did it themselves. That is just low and dirty.

What if Viz decided to put the Dragon Ball manga out of print and then sell it at conventions for $50 a volume?

I am going to amit this I have not been following super as much as I should it might be cause I'm not as excited for it as I was for the films dunno why. It might be due to I could not cared less if dragon ball had a new anime or not. For me dragon ball story done movies are best to fill in missing gals U6 stuff I'll check out once anime gets there

Episode 17 was a lot of fun and Chapter 5 of the Manga was good too.

Well Ressurection f retelling already going to be better the film it self for me with champa showing up and training aspects I enjoyed I'm happy that picked it back up from ep 17. It might let me enjoy film aspects more from disappoint I got from film

Super is at Resurrection F already? Kind of felt like they were going at a snail's pace with the Battle of Gods retelling.

Well they still did. The Goku/Beerus battle was longer than the entirety of Battle of Gods' extended edition.

Champa showing up much sooner then I would imagine. I hope the ROF saga won't take too long. Not as short as the Super 17 saga, but not as long as the BOG saga though.

As long as I don't need to drop it again I be happy cause I want the retelling to be better then the film
