I absolutely love the look on these forms and is it me or does the Nobunaga form look like he has the handle of a Katana coming out the back of the head and that's what we thought was a topknot

What even is the Spider Lantern Gangan Sabre combo supposed to be? I thought it was reported to be a hammer. Maybe I could see that if the lantern was folded up, but attached there in spider mode? Looks like a weird shovel... thing.

All I know is that this series is going to eat my money like its a kid on halloween eatin candy

I think it's funny that in toy form the gangan blade is much shorter than the show gangan blade, yet the way the gun mode works it needs to be shrunken down for the show version, incidently making the toy form more acurate as a result.

But what if the series is poorly written?

Granted, since Drive is terrible this series is most likely going to rock, but there is still that possibility. I just hope Kobayashi has nothing to do with this one.

From what he keeps saying, yes, and he keeps going on and on about how it sucks even though he hasn't seen the show in months.

Can't he? I mean, yeah he might have seen only a few episodes, but he might not have liked the overall feel of it. Just because others do doesn't mean everyone will.

As for the designs, I love them. Bad writing or not. Very impressed how they incorporated the "historical figure" aspect of each form. Curious to see how the Tut one looks since it doesn't seem to have much to it. (I keep looking at the Tut one and thinking of this...)

I loved that short-lived show!! I used to have the "movie". *sighs* Wish I'd caught more of the show when it aired.

Plus if we started judging Rider shows based off of its first 20 episodes, Blade would be considered pretty boring.

Actually I found Blade boring most of the way through. I liked it. But it was definitely more Drama instead of action. Hated most of the riders except Chalice. And the movie was good IMO.

Really? Blade was probably one of my favorites, and I thought it had a pretty strong set of Riders. Chalice is probably my favorite of the bunch, though.


But man, were those first 20 or so episodes hard to get through.

I'm not saying it had a bad set of riders. I just didn't like how they....acted. Garren was a dick, Blade was way too upbeat for my tastes, for some reason Leangle escapes me right now, and Chalice, well he was my favorite because was seemed conflicted to me, showed true emotions.

Except Blade was amazing right from the get go. It is one of the few Kamen Rider series that was near perfection from start to finish. Well except for the movie, I found that to be utter horse ****.

I thought it was quite clear it was my opinion though. If it wasn't, then sorry for your confusion.

C'mon, you have to admit Blade started off at least a bit on the slow side.

What about the action there was, though? That's one of my favorite parts about the show. The effects were kind of awful, but the choreography and style were ACE! (No pun intended... okay maybe a little.)

The only part I remember not liking so much was (if I'm remembering correctly) the arc when they shoehorned one of the movie suits in toward the end, (Glaive maybe?) It just looked sort of out of place and wish they would of used a new suit of some kind instead of one so obviously designed for the film.

Was hopping to like the gimmick toy..... think maybe this will be my jumpng on point for Kamen Rider SHF. Don't get me wrong they seem to make it work but a head that doesn't move is a BIG turnoff.

Also looking at the ghost gadgets: seems Ghost can duel wield guns in Billy the Kid form if he wants too (and the only reason to give the bat it's own gun mode) which is a nice touch they didn't have to add.

Some really nice detailed stuff has popped up.

Now that we have very clear images of the first four forms, I really have to say I indeed love how they look. Whole aesthetic works great for me. Ore is a fantastic base form, all in all. Of the alternate forms, Newton may be my favorite. The contrasting colors on him, appleface, and his entire boxer look is a delight. Love love Newton. Everything looks awesome though.

I can't wait for the show to start. And I definitely can not wait for figuarts to start coming out for this show.

Very awesome. Worried a little how stiff he looks in the Newton form, but it's hard to tell from still shots. Lovin all the forms really.

Whoa. The Driver totally looks like curtains or something. Or maybe a spooky ghostly bed sheet. Haha. It's certainly a simple lookin' thing.

I was iffy on Newton's helmet design, but this look at it changes everything for me. I really like it now. The apple was always clever, but I wasn't sure there was enough there to make out the eyes as well. The arrow pointing down and the stem of the apple do the job though.

Actually. Not too sure how I feel about the clear plastic-y looking... chest plate... thing. Hmmm.

The Ghost Driver literally looks like a Ghost with a cloth draped over it :lol

Meh... so far I only like the main form, the driver looks weird and I don't like the gimmick or the form-changes.

Now as we see pics of it in action and kind of from the series I love the suit and all the forms even more. Now I want to see what kind of character we get who is going to be Ghost and how is he going to fight and more.

is anyone getting tired of the form changing/gimmicks into kamen rider? i mean that's why i dont get sucked into buying kamen rider stuff because it's too much to buy and most of the time what works in the show, doesnt work on the toy.

i miss the old kamen rider shows, they were more about story then about the toys, you can buy a simple belt and enjoy imitating the scenes while it's on without worrying about what's going to used next. every episode now it's about spamming forms, new weapons etc, it really kills the momentum of the story.

i understand bandai wants money but i really wish they would try to make the toylines less gimmicky because of the toys they are making the most are the secondary belts because they are simple and less gimmicky. they should at least try that for at least one season and toei concentrating on the story to see if it bring success without relying on heavy gimmicks.

That is not true. Riders sales always drop during the second quarter when the secondary Riders toys are released. They make the most toys during the first quarter with the Main Riders Belt and the first bunch of collectibles.

You realize of course those Gimmicks are basically what keeps the show on television.... right?

Not for me. I thought it was great right in the first episode. When the thing started and we had that opening of Blade just driving across the beach and the way the camera angle was placed I knew this show was going to be something special.

The only episodes I did not like were the 2 Hajimes ones and that is really because they felt out of place and way too comedic for the show's tone.

They only had the Cerberus Ace card, but never the Glaive suit. Ultra Seven used the card to turn himself into the Cerberus Undead.

I'm far more interested in the production and writing staff.

The only part of Blade I didn't like was the switching of Leangle of Evil, Good, Evil, Good; overall it's one of my favorite series too from Start to finish.

But jokes aside, I think it would be cool next spring or summer, or on the birthday of the one and only Mr. Ishinomori Shotaro they have a Shotaro Tamashi eyecon as a tribute of sorts. Plus, next year is when Kamen Rider turns 45 so it would be nice.

The thing is, the writing can make or break the show. It can have good action, but if the story is subpar at best, it just isn't that good. On the other hand, great writing can make up for lackluster action as is the case with Agito.
