I just got on board with stego sword, so let's not change the idea. Rollout are you fine if we had a small spiked weight on the hilt of the sword to represent a stegosaurus' thagomizer.

it's not really changing the sword so much as it is making it more like a stegosaurus.

Not hilt, pommel. Hilt is where the blade meets the handle, a.k.a. the cross/hand guard. Pommel is the very bottom of the handle, generally where most fancy swords have a jewel or something.

Sorry about that, totally got it confused. The pommel should have the spiked mace then to represent the thagomizer.

Actually the pommel is actually necessary in the combined form I imagined so that it can attach to the Ankylohammer while the Brachiolance attaches to the tip of the Stego sword forms the sword tip while the Tricera sheild attaches to the side of the hammer to form a guard for ramming/ defending.

wont having a spiked hand guard and a spiked pummel on a spiked sword too much. I just needed the pummel so that it can attach to the anky-hammer.

We can make the guard look like an actual tail and have the dual row of spikes on it. Just like the Stegosaurus.

Perfect! We don't need to spike the pummel I guess. The hand guard can also act like a fist/knuckle weapon too with the spikes.

The combined weapon reminds me of the me the Kentrospiker.

so to summarize:

Tricera- large horned sheild
Stego- spiked greatsword with a spiked hand guard or a spiked version of Innes Lorenz' weapon
Brachio- Extendable lance
Anky- Spiked club

Combined would form a giant sword with Anky as handle, tricera as a hand guard, Stego as the blade, Brachio as the tip

Let's not make anky have a spiked mace since ankylosaurs don't have spiked tails, but for the rest it's just perfect. Whenever Paleo activates a power up for quad let's give him gauntlets. The weapons are handheld, but the gauntlet add some change to the suit.

What about a giant blunt hammer for Anky? Their tails are kind of hammer-like instead of mace-like anyway.

he doesn't really have any whipping equipment so I think anky could be a good use of that.

The lance could extend like a whip

Sure that would actually make attaching the shield to it easier

OK so I went ahead and tried to make a simple plan for the combiner gimmick

So the lance's handle retracts to form the whole tip and the stego sword's tip and handle folds back to make way for the attachments

not the actual design yet but I say it works rather well

for the combined dino finisher.. similar to how Thero form uses all of its armor parts at once for a rider kick, this form uses all its weapons at once for a devastating attack.. at least that's what I think we agreed on.. and because Roll keeps telling me to make a sample sketch

Can we give Paleo quad form have some sort of arm armor when he activates a power up. Just to distinguish all the power ups. Think of armed mode for Kyoryuger.

Each weapon has a special attack, but the finisher is their combined strength. And I don't envision there being much of a Sentai-esque combining sequence. It's just when he activates his finisher, instead of giving him one of the individual tools, it gives him this buster weapon that he bursts through the monster with before it shatters or disappears.

See, that's what I keep thinking. But Helios really keeps pushing that. I thought we had mentioned different gauntlets?

The reason I'm totally fine with just different (colored?) gauntlets is because Thero form doesn't have anything like that. Thero already gets extra armor on his entire arm, but the hands in that form remain armor free.

I envision quad being something akin to SoGoZo from OOO. Big gauntlets and heavier build.

Triceratops - double horned shields

Ankylosaurus - hammer that causes earthquakes

The finisher is when all of the weapons combine into one giant sword.

Each power up is armed with a different pair of gauntlets. I want the gauntlets to add some difference to the sauro form also instead of just giving it a weapon.

I think we're all good and ready to move on to Paleo's aquatic form.

I think Aqua form should be a mostly long range fighter just so it doesn't feel too useless outside water.. you know water cannons, icicle blasters stuff like that

I really want Mosasaurus to be one of the "dinos." That's my only input for now. :p

If we make Aqua our long range, what will aerial be?
