Yeah, I like Michiko and Mari is one of my favorite female anime characters of all time. Also, Azaniel and Tsubiel are awesome.

I just sat down to watch Transformers Rid for nostalgia. Damn that first episode has terrible pacing.

RID as a whole was nowhere near as watchable as I used to think. It's animation was terrible outside of one or two scenes, the voice acting was simply adequate, and the overall clashing designs just makes it feel like a total mishmash of bleh.

I liked RiD. I thought it was a fun series, although I am disappointed that Optimus had no need for a resurrection.

Thanks to some jerk on twitter (Hi Pencoin!), and some jerks on this forum getting me interested in Gundam, I'm watching Gundam SEED. 7 episodes in so far, and I like it.

Macross Episode 10:

It was interesting how they showed more of the Zentradi. There were more major animation errors this episode, than there were in previous episodes. Is it just me? or does Misa have a death wish?

Well, that's just a dialect choice for the dub. All of the Arume have British sounding accents. It's just something to further alienate them from the human characters. Also, I rather like how Hagino (voiced by Monica Rial) switches between the two. Gives her a rather interesting dynamic to her.

yea it get better but if you seen angel beats and you will enjoy the ending i'm not saying why but you enjoy it (hold back tears)

It has two seasons that are each thirteen episodes long, so twenty six all together.

Anyone else here watch Shinsekai Yori? A few more chapters of the manga being posted got me really interested again, so I thought I'd give the anime a try. Just finished episode one, and my first impression is that it's definitely much more difficult to follow (at least at first, I hope) than the manga..

So I watched the opening episode Kakumeiki Valvrave today, it was well paced and staged but also almost completely generic and so so stupid.

Plus, despite some great character designs (especially that swim team and their coach god DAMN) and mech designs (although Valvrave is really cluttered), the animation felt really cheap in places.

Fanservice and giant robots are enough reason to stay around in my mind (what else do you watch anime for?) but I hope it finds its feet and a sense of identity soon. Right now I'm just kinda 'meh'.

So, I finally sat down to watch High School of the Dead... holy shit...

High School of the Dead. It's disgusting, poorly written and has average voice acting with a generic and overdone to hell story... and yet, I just... can't stop WATCHIN IT!

That's pretty much what I thought.

Can't go wrong either way. Though for comedy anime I usually go dub over sub simply because a bit of the comedic timing is lost in subtitles.

I know I should hate Highschool of the Dead, but it was so ridiculous and unashamed of what it was that I couldn't help but love it.

Apart from the OVA, that is a piece of trash that should burn.
