Melting clear runner to the point of reshaping it would not go well.

I should say, with fire, it would not go well. You can use certain glues that will melt plastic.

I'll just sand the biggest part of the clear yellow runner flat for now and wait for Decade. Then cut and polish the runner, and paste.

A truly awesome looking model kit. Mine has already shipped from HLJ.

My biggest disappointment with the kit are those pink pads on the upper arms. It's molded in black as single piece where a pink molded part could have easily gone.

It's great they managed to get that silver line on the side of his head. A lot of figures forego that small detail.

Seeing the way the head is made in real time, I'd really like to see someone use this kit to make bald decade

First tip I will mention:

Be careful with the kneecap parts. It's not super clear on their orientation (for sticker purposes) so fit them to the legs before you sticker them.

They should click in and sit flush with the joint. Each of my kneecaps are technically on the wrong leg because I stickered them first thinking I knew which side was "up". As far as I can tell they are mirrored so it doesn't matter, but just a heads up!

The build is pretty okay. The elbow joints have been downgraded from some of the past FRS kits, but it does make it look cleaner. The colors are excellent, the stickers are ok, if a letdown.

It's not a double hinge joint like Kuuga or Double. It's a single joint more like Hibiki or Zi-O.

I probably won't do a build/painting guide on Decade. It's a pretty straightforward kit. Here are some tips though:

• Press the head fins in really good, the eye section basically becomes flush, don't worry about damaging the parts that will essentially go under the eye sticker
• For the black chest and back stickers, line them up at the cross, not an edge
• fit the kneecaps before you sticker them
• For the Ride Booker stickers, start them at the bottom corner where there's an indent
• The Rider Cards have a protective film on both sides, make sure you peel both off before trying to take them out.

Figure-rise Standard Kamen Rider Decade is really vivid! The white is very white and the magenta really pops. This figure really stands out, even next to the bright-boy himself Ex-Aid.

For paint, I painted black all around his knee area (bottom of thighs, tops of calves), Silver on the Decadriver, Shine silver on the center circle of the decadriver, and metallic orange on the forehead sensor thing. For the eyes, I painted mirror chrome behind the lenses- it looks awesome. There was also some metallic green on the Decadrivers and Ride Bookers. For the most part, minimal paint applications that stickers serve well enough.

I can see why they made his holstered Ride Booker all white- it's easier to paint it black for screen accuracy than it is to paint the black Ride Bookers white.

Overall all, Decade feels a little "big" when compared to his colleagues, both in height and general proportions, but its really not noticeable. And in fact I'm pretty sure Tsukasa is among the tallest of the Riders. The tiny cards are a neat touch, and while I appreciate all the extra belts, it's really not something I'm ever gonna do.

I can't imagine a better way to end the decade than with Decade himself!

We are now at 10 main riders. One half of the full Heisei lineup. From what I hear, we're only getting around 4-5 new FRS KR kits a year, so I look forward to finishing the group in 2022!

If we're only getting 4-5 each year and we already know we've got Ryuki and Agito coming, do you think they'll try to keep going in order with Blade, Kiva and OOO or skip around like they did at the beginning?

They haven't been going in order this whole time - heck, Ryuki and Agito are back to front - so I don't think they'd start now. I assume they'd do some Phase 2s after Agito just because they have so few compared to Phase 1. Something really fun about this line though is that it's very hard to predict who they'll do next -- I did not in a million years see Hibiki, Agito or Dragredder coming; they all felt like pipe dreams!

I actually have a question for all of you. I was building my faiz and using the metal sanding stick that came with the mr.hobby basic tool set. Works great with little effort to decimate nub marks on regular plastic. However, it left scratches here and there on the small areas that i sanded. One especially egregious scratch was on the exceed charge kick effect. Does anyone know how to go about removing scratches and polishing the plastic, like especially clear plastic.

Right, there are lots of different types of plastic and they all behave different from different tools. Color of plastic also impact how much something shows nubs and alteration. For example, the black plastic parts of the Faiz kit are a softer plastic and you don't want to file it at all. You should be able to cut and sand down with 800 or higher grit sandpaper.

Clear plastic is more brittle than regular ABS plastic. To remove the scratch on clear plastic, you can sand it down with ultra find sandpaper, then use a ceramic polish and then buff it.

Or you can use plastic cement to "melt" the scratch away, depending on the severity of the scratch. Honestly, for an effect part I wouldn't worry too much about it unless its super obvious.

Just finished my build/ initial paint. With building, I'd say be careful of the head Barcode parts--one of mine got lodged in the head wrong and made the eye unable to set in the head. I ended up gluing the eye piece in. Other than that, like was said before--elbow joint is a bit of a letdown.

As far as painting goes, I used rustoleum glodd berry pink, a chrome paint that I already threw away so I don't have the label, rustoleum high gloss white and a satin black. I got a little to eager and started to handle the parts before they were ready, so the paint job is a little messier, but from a distance it's not bad. Just be careful when doing blacks and whites at the same time.

I finally shipped my PoL from BBTS early this week and got it yesterday, including the Amazing Mighty kit. Spent the past few hours putting him together. He looks great, but damn the little squiggly line stickers for the bracers were an absolute PITA.

Unfortunately, when swapping out parts to turn my Mighty form into Rising Mighty, I nearly broke off the clip for one of the shoulder pads. It's still attached, but barely, and the pad flops about a bit. Also, one of the knee gems on Amazing loves to fall out. So what would be a good glue to use hopefully fix that? It's black plastic on the clip and the gem, and that odd goldish plastic for the kneepad.

Another very very slight quibble, is that unlike Mighty, who came with enough back of the hand pads for every hand, Amazing does not. He only comes with pads for the fisted hands for both Amazing & Rising (which I did not realize don't fit the other hands with either kit), and a set of pads for a single pair of of the other hands - one set for Amazing, one for Rising. It's not an issue to swap them around, so it's not a real issue or anything.

He's my third kit, following Mighty and Joker, and I have Decade waiting at HLJ. Decade is the only thing I have at HLJ atm, and I really don't want to ship just one item, so that'll have to wait.

Yeah, this really bothered me and I'm still confused by why it was the case. Just very weird.

Tamiya plastic cement is the best glue for parts they will show. Mr Hobby super glue for parts that won't be seen it need gap filing.

Has anyone used the Decadriver yet on non-main Riders and forms, like Geiz, Genm, HeatMetal or Amazing Mighty? That's what I was most interested in seeing

Here is Genm. I tried Heat Metal, but the belt was weird and I had an impatient baby on my hands. I can try the others later, just knew this post had been up for a bit with no replies.

That is -SO- fun to see! Something I really like about features like this is what they're not intended for even though it's still something you're able to do; so despite Genm just being a recoloured Ex-Aid, it's awesome to see

Thank you! I used a liquid chrome pen on the back of his eye piece. I think there was some discussion about it about 10 pages ago. It helps the texture really pop on most of the kits save hibiki and Den-O (imo).

Yeah I've been selectively using liquid chrome paint on the backs of the eye pieces as well. I did it on Decade. Skipped it on Den-O and Hibiki.

I also picked up some ceramic plastic polish which can help make the lenses even clearer but I haven't felt the need to use it yet. I got it in preparation for Decade because his lenses look really clear in the show sometimes but I decided against it at the last minute.

I will probably use it for Wizard, especially if he has clear parts on his chest.

You'll have to share some side-by-side photos when you finally do use it. I was interested, but didn't know if it would really be worth it when the chrome back already looks good enough.

Does anyone here the Ultraman kits? I'm wondering what's the difference between the two versions of each kit on Amiami, one being about a thousand yen or so more expensive than the other.

There is an "ACTION" version and there is the regular version. The ACTION version has more articulation than the standard one but doesn't have the LEDs. The standard version has the LEDs, but it's more or less paralyzed on the torso.

So far, Tiga, Zero, and Ace kits are the only ones who have LED gimmicks and still have pretty decent torso movement. With Zero having the ability to swap out that torso for a more articulated one.

They'll most likely start making some more whenever season 2 drops. And yeah, Taro and Bemular are good choices for model kits to be made of. I'd except the American-made suits and the first Ultra suit to be made.

Eh, not really. I genuinely just put 'kamen rider' to separate it from FRS' dragon ball, sao etc kits than anything else; I just completely forgot about Ultraman at the time. Thread's quiet enough anyway; talk away!
