I'm very curious to see how the full suit looks, so far I love the gunshot visor and the way the dagger's blade splits open to reveal the gun barrel, but the colors and those "buttons" on the chest make it look like rejected Ex-Aid concept art. I hope I like it better once I see the whole suit and see it in action.

You're forgetting that Kenzan's can split into two swords and turn into a shuriken.

As for Slash, I love'em. I really like the visor and the gun-sword looks interesting, and I was wondering when we'd get the obligatory is-also-a-gun sword. Hope we'll get a full body look at Slash soon, 'cuz I'm liking what I'm seeing so far. I'd imagine that his visor gets formed by a slash following a gunshot, and that his sword-horn is gonna be the split-blade-barrel of his sword's gun mode.

Nah 90s bubble gum colors and game controller buttons on the collar screams ex aid. Especially the wtf helmet design that looks like old school 20th century comic book effects. Also, used in early toku henshin sequence

It stands out so much and screams "showy ! flashy ! pew pew !" while Daishinji is a socially awkward guy.

Who would expect the shy monk sword mechanic engineer to sport a pink driver unless its a bait and switch. Unless its a bait and switch where someone else uses slash. Rumors saber will swap a new blade for the sword holder for an future upgrade.




People forget Gaim started with Gaim, Baron, Ryugen, Zangetsu, Gridon, Kurokage, and Bravo in Q1 and Q2 there's knuckle as well as the three neo genesis riders. 7 in less than ten episodes and 11 for most of the series. Jam number 12 for the finales. Even ryuki didnt utilize all 13 with verde, femme, and a few other missing. Alternatives doesn't count. So saber could stop at 10 with a drought until later on. Kyuranger reaches 11 and took a while to add the 6th/extra warrior as the 12th. Unless saber keep pushing out narrative or more drivers , then anyone can be a rider . There's too many good riders and too many villain generals . All of their personalities are paper thin. If this keep up, they're be generic bad guys with a few one liners. I suppose they can axe a few early like the greeds from Os and focus on a few. We're entering the era where riders and viallins doesn't die . Ex aid, built, zio, and 01. Movies/special epilogue included

Maybe they'll show the transition between flashy Daishinji and awkward Daishinji, considering how Daishinji said that only Sophia still calls him Slash.

My opnion is obviously going to change when we get the full suit reveal and I know likening saber to sentai has already been done to death....but this dude looks like he came straight out of a super sentai series. I think it probably has something to do with the visor. What happened to good ol bug eyes?

On the buttons, to me they look more like dials that would control bass, treble or volume, etc. on a sound system; it's those little notches that do it for me. It'd fit with the sound theme too!

You know, I now kinda wish Buster was more outwardly ridiculous. A heavyweight armoured guy doesn't stand out from the core three that much especially compared to Kenzan's ninjaness and now Slash's everything.

Personally I still love Buster's look 'cuz of how conventional and simple it is compared to the others. And it makes sense for Buster's fighting style compared to the others. Why go for flash and flair when you can just hit it really, really hard?

Not to say that I don't love the ridiculousness of the other Saber riders, though, 'cuz I fucking love them a lot.

Wow, the design is completely insane and I love it.

It's giant mashup of Knight Armor, DJ stuff, and most predominantly: the Candy House that Hansel and Gretel were lured into in their story.

• The shields on his shoulders are cookies
• The random white techno lines are frosting
• The black armor is chocolate and shaped like a jacket
• The pink parts going down suit is bubble gum
• The reddish pink line going around the bottom of the collar is piece of licorice that also creates a set of headphones
• The sound dials are gumdrops
• The bracelets are doughnuts

God, there is so much going on with the suit, and I'm amazed it still looks so good.

I know! I think I'm gonna love this suit and can't wait for Daishinji to get out of his shell, transform and help the riders against the Megid!

ok I know TOEI has less of a budget than they normally would (Or I'm assuming) cause of COVID but this literally just looks like something out of Ex-Aid (perhaps an early version of what was gonna be Ex-Aid's main suit)

I'm kind of expecting saber to rotate riders a little as we get into the second and third quarters tbh! I think Saber, Blades, and Espada will always be relevant but I can totally see Buster or Kenzan disappearing for a few episodes at a time on their own missions, just to avoid stretching the story thin trying to accommodate all of them.

As for Slash, it's a wild design that I kind of love. As others have pointed out it's totally in contrast to Daishinji's personality; I wonder if he'll have a different attitude while fighting? The line about Sophia being "the only one to call [him] Slash anymore" implies that he's been in the game for a while, possibly even since the days of Old Saber, Old Blades, and Buster, so maybe he used to be a lot more brash and that persona will return when he fights again...

Sounds almost like R5 from Rescue Force somehow.

This... is gonna take a while to grow on me. I'm glad other people like it, and I'm sure it'll look better in action, but the giant collar, the shoulder shields that stick so far out, and the bright candy colors all just look so silly to me.

Yeah, I have said it before but I do think it is a possibility considering his personality and the contrasting suit design. If that is not the case the possibility I am considering is he used to be wild and crazy 15 years ago but the incident changed his character into the shy and reclusive Tetsuo we have now.

Can I just say how in love I am with the candy-ness of this suit?

Huh, since when did you start being okay with Daishinji being Slash? I guess you're placing your hopes on one of the other upcoming Riders being a girl?
