Characters that grow, and shows that evolve, are a great thing but toku shows are long, and if you have other things to watch, I really can't comprehend why a person would put themselves through almost a thousand hours of something they hate, just in the vague hope it all becomes worth it by the end. Because there is no guarantee even those last handful of episodes will change your mind. |

Now you'll have to add shirtless Wataru to shirtless Daigo and Date. :lol |

Wow, so much talk about Kiva reminds me that I need to get back to watching it. :lol
Also, Sentai, yes Break the Chain is awesome. However my personal favorite song from the series goes to Circle of Life. I mean, well... LISTEN TO IT! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NbwZXGn4GJM |

You sir have excellent taste, personally I'm quite fond of the violin song that Wataru and Otoya do all the time (the frigging thing has no name >.<), it perfectly sums up Kiva to me. |

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dyuGeCnNnq0 At points I felt that Otoya and Wataru were tricking us, knowing how to play a single song does not equate to be a virtuous music. :lol Otoya did play another song in the first few eps, didn't he? It was in a restaurant I think. |
I like Individual System/Fight For Justice...
*Shrugs* |
So in Wizard episode 6, apperantly my Airi is in it..... HOLY CRAP THATS AWESOME! :lol
|
Supernova's my favorite Kiva song. Fight for Justice and whatever Saga's theme is called tie for second.

Ah, right that's the title. Totally agree there, though. Kiva's music is great. Quote:
Anyway... Ryuki 6 I really like how Ryuki seems to be this really heroic rider caught in this awful situation of some fight to the death. And reporter chick is a suspect for the murder of that guy. Yup, like I thought. Private eye dude is Scissors. For once...Ron has a legit reason to be a prick to Shinji. Regardless of how you trusted him at the time, giving Scissors that much information was incredibly fucking dumb. I like how they play slasher movie villain music when Scissors walks into reporter chicks hospital room. Which...is actually pretty accurate for him. Reporter chick is having none of his bullshit, though. so, I was thinking that Scissors went power mad or something after he got the Rider powers. But no, he was a psycho to begin with. And now it's Knight versus Scissors! ...I had to rewind the episode to make sure Knight actually had a card called Nasty Vent. Interesting that scissors' monster appears to be more like a standard monster of the week compared to Knight's and Ryuki's. Uh, wow. Guess Scissors didn't know his time limit was up. The crab thing just fucking crushed him to death for failing. Harsh, man. Shinji seems to thinks so too as that's when he jumps in to save the day. He has some moral issues about dragon absorbing the power...but if it's coming from the monster, does it matter? Kinda glad after all that, Ron, Shinji, and Yui are still friends. Oh and we get a preview of another new rider. This one looks like a bit of a bully. Or not, since he's attacking some zebra monster. He's sorta got a robot/cyborg theme as well. Interesting to note. |

Guess its just me that wasn't too find of the music then...
I really like Kiva as a show, but the music (especially the opening theme) never really did anything for me. OOO on the other hand, I absolutely adore the music! |
Episode 3 of Kiva down, and I really want to know what the heck Otayu really did and what people are blaming him for. Because I doubt it can all be because he flirts with anything wearing a skirt :lol.. Seriously, keep it in your pants!
One thing I didn't mention though: Kiva has to have one of the best looking visual Rider Kicks I've ever seen. Where Kivat breaks the chains and he rises up through the air.. and then unleashes hell. I love it! |

I watched Kuuga episode 14, I love seeing Dragon form and really was used well. I'm intrigued with the Flying beetle thing (which from the new opening I'm guessing is the new bike.) I like how there is a dark tone to this series with one of the brightest Main characters ever. Also like the doctor in here talking about how life is important and how grim the Unidentified life forms are to Chouno I think his name was.
Also watched Faiz 14 and 15 as well, and now I see how Kusaka is a dick as Kaixa so far and he is definitely hiding stuff. I like how he is kind of the opposite of Takumi (who is rough on the outside but nice on the inside) and Kusaka is nice on the outside and a dick on the inside. I like how Yuka took care of Takumi and leading to Takumi protecting her. Also glad that she came out with her feelings to Kaidou but he does nothing because he likes Mari. Really like all the different storylines with all the characters in this series. I think I figured out a balance here with Kuuga and Faiz; you know sometimes you just can't choose one. |
And that's it for OOO. Everyone was quite right, the series got much better as it went along and there was some great character development to be had. There was pretty much only one thing I didn't like about the series, overall, but that is strictly a personal issue and nothing to do with the quality of the show.

What to watch next? It seems Blade won the LWW, but I like to watch things a little faster than that. Black's the only Showa era series I have at the moment, maybe I'll check that out. |

I personally didn't like Blade, but I'm like the only person on this forum that didn't like it, same with Kuuga so take what I say with a grain of salt, I suppose. Black is a great series though, but not a series to be marathoned, every episode is basically the same and there is little character or plot focus. In short bursts it's highly entertaining, any longer than that and it's a monotonous drag. |
Thanks for the info, Sentai and Locke. Maybe I'll take a little Kamen Rider break since I've been marathoning those series pretty much non-stop for a while now.

As for me, I kinda went nuts yesterday and watched nearly 10 episodes of Agito - I think that's a sign it's keeping my attention, lol;; Frightening development for Agito, and Gills gets ragdolled every-which-way. Now watching 28 which, going by preview, is a Gills focus. He definitely needs more scenes where he isn't unconscious. |

Does Wizard count as an organic Rider? Since his power, mana, is from a human (Well...Phantom) source, and he isn't overtly technological.

Remember, no matter what questions you have about Wizard, all you need to do is say 'science' dramatically in Japanese and the fandom will clap and throw their panties at you.

In this episode of Agito... Shouichi plays tennis with a frying pan. Yes really.

Currently, I am on episode 21 of Kamen Rider OOO and episode 2 of Fourze, and when I finish OOO, I intend to start Decade.
I'm loving OOO so far and I'm glad I chose this season to be the first Kamen Rider season I ever watched. It's got me hooked. |
