Gogeta technically did exist first. Fusion Reborn, the movie in which he appears was released between the air dates of episodes 258 & 259. 268 is where Vegito first appears. So yeah Gogeta is barely older as a character but he's there.

Disputed Cannonicity of characters (a whole other argument I won't get into) literally has nothing to do with who gets made or why. They made Broly because he's popular (mostly in the west admittedly). Vegito is likely being made for similar reasons and because frankly the mold isn't incredibly different from Goku. It'll be cheap to create Vegito. But to imply that the placement of a character in or out of cannon somehow informs what gets made, is just silly.

I never understood the "Broly is popular in the West" thing when all 3 Broly movies were made before DBZ was even dubbed.
I'm not doubting his popularity, I just never understood why it's treated like the West is the one who pumped Broly's popularity when Japan was loving him a decade before us :lol

Also if they going by cannon n manga vigito was round before gogeta to the manga is a thing I don't really count the movie the cannon to manga due to they are hard to fit into the show

They made Broly because his power is maximum. That's all there is to it :p

I seem to be the one that isn't overly excited for the Dragon ball figuarts.

The only two I have are SSJ Vegeta and Normal Goku and those didn't really impress me all that much. I dunno, I guess my nostalgia for DBZ's faded over time.

I'm completely uninterested until they do either Sayaman and/or Sayawoman or Dragon Ball versions.

Hey now. I'm not super excited or drooling over Gogeta/Vegito (I legit don't remember which is which :lol). My favorite characters were even made and I don't own a single one (Piccolo, Goku, and Broly).
I just don't really care about the DBZ Figuarts. It's not out of dulling nostalgia or anything, either. They're just figures I don't see as necessary, honestly.

Yeah overall I'm not super impressed by the DBZ figuarts. I have all of them except SDCC Goku and manga Gohan though, lol. It's still the best around. Vegeta suffers from being to soft, something is just off about his appearance. So far I'd say the Androids and Cell are the best so far imo.
