Kuuga was less bad and more insulting. Thousands died under Godai's watch, I think he reacted once in suit and once out. Pathetic.

As someone who relates to both Faiz and Kiva if I had the power to transform into a badass, armored superhero with that type of technology/supernatural power, I'd be aggressive and brutal. The shy types normally have a lot of built up aggression.

He probably reacts a lot more than what is shown.

With the exception of Kuuga, I haven't gotten to any of those yet. Oh well, at least I'll be prepared for it this time.

Given how diametrically opposed our tastes are, Kiva will probably be your favorite Rider series ever. :p

Just finished the last episode of Black (still got the movies to watch, but I'm guessing they'll be throwaway stuff) and yeah this show just went up and up as soon as Shadow Moon was introduced. The last few episodes have been absolutely relentless and some of, if not the, best Kamen Rider stuff I've seen. Great action and there are some really emotional moments like Battle Hopper's death and Shadow Moon's dying words. Wasn't that impressed by the Creation King, but it was never really about him so who cares. RIP to the Whale Mutant too, I hope you're chilling up there in kaijin heaven with Mogura from Amazon.

Final thoughts? I can certainly see why Black was so popular, but I don't think it fully lives up to the hype. If the whole series was like the last 18 or so episodes than sure, but the first 33 are far too episodic and detached from each other. While for most older series this isn't such a bad thing, Black OPENS with Kotaro knowing Gorgom have Nobuhiko and are brainwashing/transforming him yet proceeding to do absolutely NOTHING about it until Shadow Moon pops up.

I don't recommend marathoning this show by any means, but if you can get through the first 33 episodes the remainder will reward you greatly.

Now on episode 26 of Kamen Rider OOO, and now for my thoughts with 25.

I was wondering when we would finally see a Yummy spawned from Ankh, and I think it's about time. Towards the end of the episode, I thought Ankh gave Eiji the Tajador medals as a show of trust and some sort of redemption to let him destroy Ankh's Yummy with his power, but...nope.

Wishful thinking. They teased me with my favorite combo, only to say that it made the fight harder. Anyway, now I'm watching episode 26 and I look forward to how this whole ordeal turns out.

And now, here I am on episode 27 of OOO.

...And Kosei just broke the fourth wall...ooooh, this is gonna be one of those days...

27/28 of OOO is just nutty. That was Kamen Rider's 40th Anniv, so they did something silly and fun for it.

Still slogging through Kuuga. Halfway through episode 24 and, boy, Sakurako's characterization is all over the place. She seems to keep waffling between acceptance of Godai as Kuuga and thinking it's too dangerous. I would normally say that that might be in character as enemies come and go, but she was completely upbeat when Godai was ACTUALLY DEAD. Also, random mentions of body counts higher than 1,300 and everyone is pretty much 'meh'. I'm surprised Japan hasn't been denuded of police considering how many of them die practically every episode. Although I'm always amused when hard profanity shows up as I can just imagine U.S. parents going berserk if it happened over here.

OO 27/28.

I skipped those episodes.

I found it amusing that the in-series movie they were making in OOO 27/28 seem to set up a good chunk of the plot for Let's Go Kamen Riders.

Kiva ep5 and so close to seeing Ixa! ... But then megumi had to go get kidnapped.

So, I just finished the Anniversary episodes.

I can really tell that they had A LOT of fun with this episode. It finally showed Hina using her strength and putting it to good use, also, I'm pretty sure this was just an english subber having some fun, but apparently Ankh called Kousei a Motherf***er.

So, yeah, not really much of a review, I might do a more intricate post about the season once I finish episode 48. I'd also like to watch all the OOO related movies, which should be fun, considering one of them is a pretty big role with the Gokaigers. I had some good fun with these two episodes, but I'm glad to be getting back to the plot.

Super Hero Taisen? Keep your expectations low, very low.
Also it's more of a Decade/Gokaiger movie.

It makes sense that way, actually. Gokaiger and Decade are both anniversary themed seasons. I'll probably start Decade after finishing OOO.

Yeah it makes sense (the concept not the movie).

Most people here would tell you to stee away from Decade but as one of your first Rider shows it's not that bad. It was my second and I have fond memories of it.
There are some minor spoilers for the early Heisei riders though.

Youre in for a big difference my friend. If you dont want your brain to hurt, you might want to watch one episode a week for Decade. :lol

Eh, it's okay. I had Jetman and Timeranger plot details spoiled for me while watching Gokaiger. Might as well let that happen again.

I don't encourage watching Decade, but I usually don't recommend skipping it entirely.

Oooooh...I am NOT seeing a lot of love for Decade. Hmm. I never see hate for Gokaiger, but I'm seeing no love for Decade. Wow. :lol

There are three differences in Gokaiger vs, Decade-

1- Emotion.
2- Plot, story, characters
3- No Luka Milfy.

Gokaiger also had an ending that wasn't confusing and open ended.. and confusing.

Ah, yes...God, I love Gokaiger...

Anyway, what season would be best for me to start after OOO? It'll be over soon enough, considering I just started episode 31...Isn't the last new combo in the next episode?

Decade *dramatic pause* sucks...
It has no proper history, the AU Rider worlds are rather hit or miss, and a lot of people hate Tsukasa, plus it has no ending so to speak.

It's a good way to learn more about the previous riders, and watching it intermitently can be fun. But overall it has more flaws than strenghts.

Don't let us stop you from watching it though, but only do so if you are really interested, don't do it expecting a great show and don't do it for Super Hero Taisen because that's even worse.

W aka Double!
It's OOO predecessor and the beggining of waht we call the "Neo-Heisei" era, he also teamed up with OOO in various movies so you need his show to watch the movies.
And overall W is simply awesome it's one of the best regarded Rider shows of recent time.

Are you loving OOO craziness and somewhat randomness at moments? Id suggest Den-O. Actually, I recommend Den-O anyway. But if you want a good series, story, and characters, Id say W.

Hmm...Okay. W is next after OOO. I'll probably save Den-O, which I believe is a Time Travel themed show...anyway, I'll probably reward myself with Den-O after Decade if I really hate it.

Honestly? I would head over towards Fourze. It's the next series in line and follows the spirit of OOO. Alot of the stories have alot of feels, and it's funny. But also serious when it has to be.

Plus that means you get to watch the Fourze/OOO movie with Nadeshiko and Super TaToBa. And who could say no to that?

W, go with W... I LOVE W! :D

I'm already in the process of watching Fourze...I've just been trying to finish OOO before continuing. But yeah, so far, everyone seems to be pointing towards W as to what season to start next. So, I've got a good "Neo-Heisei" trio going on.

W was the first series I ever watched and I loved it all the way through. :D

Yea Den-O is a time travel series, also the only series with as many movies as episodes, not that I am complaining, I love everything that Den-O has to offer. :lol But if you make it a reward for journeying through the Decade, that is a very good jump from start to finish.

No. I loved it, too. The introduction of Apollo Geist only made the series stronger.

I really need to finish Den-O, I don't even remember how far I got (Maybe Zeronos debut?) I just remember really hating Momo at the start, he's fun when all the Imagin are together but by himself he drove me mad.

You know what would have made it stronger? Shigeru Jō.

I didn't like Den-O as much as everyone else seems to have. It wasn't horrible, it just didn't grab me.
