but reduced material strength due to the pathetically thin components, which push the material strength waaay closer to its fatigue limit, which results in higher probability of breakage and lower reliability. |

However... SHF in general isn't tho. So, I hope someone makes third party metal add-on joints someday. |

So, your point is: Reduced material strength is higher in suspect list than QC issues? |

There are other parts that are as thin as the components of the new elbow joint, and they don't break. Why? Because they are made of different type of plastics. They behave entirely different compared to POM plastics, THE tough, rigid, brittle plastics used on SHF joints. Examples of thin/breakage prone parts: - SHF KR Amazon Neo Alpha has antenna that is made of PVC plastics. - SHF Shadow Moon, KR Ryuki Survive, KR Fourze & KR Woz have antennas that are made of ABS plastics. - SHF SS KR Kabuto has Zecter that is made of ABS plastics. - etc ABS and especially PVC plastics are more forgiving to stress fatigue. They're very different from brittle materials like POM plastics, iron, glass, ceramic, etc. Breakage does not occur on those parts also because those parts are cosmetic parts, unlike the elbow joint that can be considered structural and functional part (for articulation), with higher amount of friction. |
