I don't really buy TFs anymore, but I was very happy when that "Cybertron" Optimus Prime got done back in Siege, as well as that Cybertron Defense Hot Shot they did out of Hound. And those are such minor bones when you consider this is a line that's doing Scorponok's little buddy at mainline, and his Japanese black-and-gold repaint (if you can find it online, ofc). I'm amazed to see japanese exclusive Prime molds coming out at all, and if they did something similar for other series, that'd be sick.

But then again, Hasbro also put one of their most popular characters into exclusive land three times in a row, so who knows whay their decisions are.

It's pretty hysterical, how when the Generations line decided to incorporate some non-G1 figures, the Studio Series had to switch over to G1 figures. It's like someone's going to kill Hasbro's family if there aren't G1 toys in production. These little moments of having A Fandom From Somewhere Other Than The 1980s get acknowledged, it's so nice. It's actual heartwarming.

While we're on the subject of Transformers, does anyone know where I can watch Transformers Armada in Japanese? I'm not too fond of dubs and the Japanese has better animation (as Armada used unfinished animation frames). Of course, I'll watch the dub if I have to but I'd really rather not if I can help it.
