....How did you get so strong so fast!

You know one thing I absolutely love about Pokemon X and Y, is how much they combine the old and the new.

The Kalos dex is comprised almost equally of new Generation VI Pokemon and Pokemon from all previous generations, resulting in an absolutely massive regional Dex! This bucks the direction taken since Gen III to focus mostly on the newest Generation.

They weren't kidding when they said they needed to split it into three Dexes. Consequently, Kalos is arguably the most diverse region of all 6 of them, with hundreds of Pokemon to encounter in your travels. Maybe that's why so far it has never been boring wandering in tall grass, because encounters are so different and diverse.

Besides making a region feel much larger than usual, the heavy use of previous generation Pokemon also feel very nostalgic, and is like a message from Game Freak that every generation's Pokemon are appreciated.

My brother won't let me progress until he gets home from work... So i'm stuck in Ambrette town.

I wanted my Pokemons to be all the same exact level, and the EXP share item helped out a lot, but for the most part I really just walked around and level and fighting every single trainer I could.

But... The game just came out yesterday. It blows my mine that people already have strong Pokemon yet mine are still at level 20.

After going to a party last night and some bro-talk, not enough time to play. Here's where I'm at:

Ankh (Fletchinder) LV22
Charmeleon LV22
Combusken LV 25
Hana (Floette) LV 20

I got mine pretty early in the morning... But even then my copy of Pokemon X didn't end up working, so I went to another Gamestop that was in a mall since I had to do some errands. I found out I just needed a memory SD card, but I ended up trading my my old 3DS with and bought a version of X and Y red edition.. So it took me a while before I ended up playing the actual game, I actually played it around 1pm? But I did take a hour breaks in between my game time....So I dunno? I was playing at decent times with breaks, and not rushing through the game.

Just got through reflection cave and my team currently consider of (all lv 34)

Rocket (Pikachu)
Flixxen (Braixen)
Gamera (Wartortle)
Ploof (Floette)
Gabutyra (Tyrunt)
El Birdo (Hawlucha)

As you can see I took the completely unoriginal nicknaming route with my Tyrunt. First time since red/blue I've actually been bothered to nickname my team too.

I think it may be that i have the exp share turned off.

So looking at the nature grid matrix shared, my pancham loses Attack, which for a fighting type is pretty crappy.

So to those in the know, how does this stuff work exactly? Whatever his attack is at the moment is actually 10 percent less than what it could be? And even if I maxed his EV's in attack they'd still be 10 percent down?
