I'm sure they make these every year, but the way they're all bundled like this in one image feels like it's a whole picnic set.

I actually realized the Tega Sword Robo's blue wings are very similar to fairy wings in mythology and fairy tales.

Maybe the series has some fairy concepts?

That actually sounds pretty likely, since there's this bit about "calling on the power of previous Sentai". Because we apparently didn't have enough of that in Zenkaiger and DonBrothers. (I really don't want Sentai aping modern Ultraman in this way.)

Since those are very likely to be one-offs, I fully expect that GozyuWolf will get a weapon/mecha-form power-up exclusive to him mid-season.

And oh, lordy, the Tega Sword is fine, I guess, but out of those characteristic weapons, the lion gatling is the only one that doesn't look wholly phoned in. Looks like none of them have a more convincing animal form before getting involved with their Tega Sword robo combination. I'm glad I don't have the job of 3D-animating that.

Also, BOO on Bandai Mania for teasing "also these toys have other functions" and then not demonstrating them. I dunno that I can stand to sit through another half-hour of "sugoi" and "kakui des" just to see how those features function.

Doesn't look like the four weapons actually combine with one another or multi-combine with the Tega Sword robo - that's an awful lot of right-arm weapons - but maybe both green's wings and one of the arm weapons could be attached...?

Little tidbits about the rangers
Gozyu Wolf (Red) is Hoeru Tohno, a so-called "Outcast Part-Timer" due to being asocial and getting fired easily in his jobs, played by Mio Fuyuno (Hoeru in general means "to bark")

Gozyu Leon (Blue) is Rikuo Byakuya, a "Former Super-Idol" who is kind to both men and women, played by Hideharu Suzuki (Rikuo roughly translates to king of the lands, which a lion is considered at times)

Gozyu Tyranno (Yellow) is Ryugi Bakugami, a so-called "Tega Sword Acolyte" who believes that serving Tega Sword is the greatest happiness ever, played by Mazakazu Kanda (the Ryu in his name initially means dragon, in this case it is referring to dinosaurs, his first name also may be a pun on the word ryugi (流儀) which means style, as in way of doing things)

Gozyu Eagle (Green) is Kinjirou Takehara, a "Party-Loving High Schooler" who is light on his feet, played by Jin Matsumoto (The "Kin" in his name alone means winged beast, and is used for the word "moukinrui" which is the Japanese word for raptors or birds of prey)

Gozyu Unicorn (Black) is Sumino Ichikawa, a cool yet at times charming "High-Class Ace Detective" who works part-time jobs when there are no cases, played by Maya Imamori (The "Ichi" and "Sumi" in her name when put together becomes "ikkaku" which literally means one horn, referring to her unicorn motif)

Tega Sword is voiced by Yuki Kaji aka Zenkai Gaon! :rock:

So, we have an angry red ranger, a pop idol blue ranger, a yellow ranger who worships his morpher/mecha, a Go-On Green and Kyoryu Green hybrid, and our first female black ranger who may be Shotaro 2.0? :lolol

What if Gokaiger, Zenkaiger, Donbrothers, and King-Ohger all fused together into one Sentai?

Maybe it’s not that relevant but it’s funny how apparently GozyuTyranno’s actor is oldest among his team: he is born in 1994, the rest born in 2003-06. No wonder he got the Tyranno role lol, fits the ancient theme lololol
