So apparently there was a Figma Iron Man Mk XXI on display too.

I know it makes sense for Bandai and GS to do the movie suits, but I'd be much more interested in a figure of that caliber of say the earlier suit from the comics.

So is love live getting school uniforms done by max.

The Midas is an incredibly easy repaint of the Mark 7 so this doesn't surprise me too much. Since Max Factory is very unlikely to produce many more brand new mold armors in this line a repaint is the next most logical choice.

I'd prefer Deku Link, but that's amazing news! Majora's Mask is my favorite game ever made and the love its getting right now is long, long overdue! Hoping he comes with a ton of Mask accessories. Now I'm just gonna have to buy WW Link to go with him. But they also showed a non-pose-able SS Link figure that Max Factory are releasing. Also they showed a non-poseable Black Magician Girl alongside Yugi, so unless there's going to be a second Black Magician Girl I'm a little sad. Is there any website that has a full list of Wondefest reveals? |

And I can't imagine Japan ate it up as much as we (by which I mean the US) did. |

Yeah, Nendoroids are waaaaay more popular than Figma.

Nendoroids don't exactly fit in with Figuarts. |

Plus they're fun and come with tons of accessories. That's what's great about them. |

The reason they're chibi is probably their selling point, plus they look great! They're nicely sculpted and really nice chibi representations of the characters. They don't have to be super articulated because they have all the major poses down via accessories.
Also toon Link is almost screen accurate and actually wouldn't look out of place in a Smash bros display. Quote:

I've been playing around with my Motoko Kusanagi today and I'm quite disappointed with her to be honest. The sculpt is superb, but the poseability isn't all that great (especially for a figure that's going to be primarily action poses) and my figure in particular is a loose, floppy mess. The faces don't stay in tightly, the static hairpiece is loose and the legs came off numerous times as I was posing her.
I hope if they ever get around to releasing that Arise version they do a better job of it. Or better still give me a movie version because that's the one I want the most. |

Because cute sells to a wider demographic? Is it that hard to understand?

So is it true love live shared it contracts with both bandai and max factory
|
Well they're making both Figma and Figuarts so it's safe to assume that's the case yeah. They look like different costumes though so I dunno if that was maybe an intentional factor?

They don't need two companies making them, it's more that both companies want in on what's likely to be a sure success. Just like how both Figma and AGP are doing KanColle figures.

I'm not sure why Figma is doing figures for a franchise that no one cared about since 2007. |
