It's really not that hard, just look at Kabuto and you've got about the same ideas to work with. Put some discoloration around the exhaust of all the thrusters, jetpack and rocket, then greeble the crap out of everything. Make sure he can do the Module change thing and you have SIC Fourze.

It's Ex-Aid that I have no idea how they'd do.

SIC Hero Saga has a habit of not releasing any of the pieces that they show in these magazines. They're really just to help the stories along like in a picture book.

I suppose of the ones they've shown: the Gaim forms and Bravo stand a good chance of getting actually released, but again I wouldn't count on it happening.

Gosh, why aren't more SICs being mass-released instead of this exclusive nonsense? I'd love to get my hands on some of this stuff, but I sure can't afford the premium. But I guess they've gotten significantly more expensive with all the extraneous add on parts of the last few years. I remember when I bought the Stronger 2 pack for 45 bucks. Good ol' days.

Okay, so I've been fumbling around with my SIC Gaim, and quite frankly: I'm rather disappointed.

I tried removing the head crest/antenna piece: It broke off. The peg snapped.

Then I tried fumbling with the arms, and the thing about the arms is: Every single time you try to move the arms, they bump the shoulder armor, and the shoulder armor pops off. Instantly. Can't stay on for s---.

(SIGH)....it looked so good...the SIC Gaim looked so good, it really did, and I had an immense amount of hope for it- I was willing to invest in the entire line, but after this: No. No way.

If the helmet crests are this fragile, and the armor constantly pops off: I'm done with the SIC Gaim line- the rest of you guys can have it.

I'm just gonna stick to SIC Drive and hopefully that'll go better.

(SIGH)...(Shakes head)...

I think the keyword here is "fumbling." Traditionally, SICs have always been more fragile and require more gentle handling than other lines like SHF. I've been collecting SICs for about 10 years and the Gaim line is actually rather robust in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong; I've broken quite a few myself, but they have definitely improved over the years.

Well, I'm not investing anymore money in this line.

The primary function of the SIC Gaim line is to remove the armor from the main body and either A) Place it on the armor display frame, or B) Place it on the main body of another rider- right?

That's what you're supposed to do with these, that's what they're designed specifically to do- yes?

The answer to your question is right there in front of you. More SICs aren't being mass-released because the line/characters are only so popular. If these were consistently selling really well, we'd get these much more frequently like we used to. Bandai/TN's not one to walk away from money. The line is still largely exclusive-based because that's all they're willing to do. Is it preferable? If you love SIC like I do, then hell no, but I get why. I'd much rather have options available and just pay the exclusive prices over the line fading in and out (MonsterArts) or just quietly dying (SIC KT, Ultra-Act).

Yes, absolutely. Birth broke on me, but generally speaking SICs are still made pretty well (which is good, considering the amount of part-swapping involved still, on average, is greater for these figures compared to SHFs) and is light years ahead of what the line used to be, the beautiful, crumbling mess made up of the earlier releases in the line.

I don't mean to minimize what happened to your figure. As touched on above, I went through a fresh-out-of-the-box breakage issue myself somewhat recently with Birth (and one that seemed entirely preventable, design-wise, had they done the shoulder pads differently). It sucks, especially when these aren't cheap. If you don't want to keep up with the line after this, it's your money & your collection, it's whatever you want.

In defense of the line, though, that's ONE figure. This line isn't known for being unusually fragile (the older figures, yes; newer figures since Den-O are just fine). They're no more or less fragile or poorly QC'd, really, then your average other TN product. If you're pissed, that's fine, but take a step back before making any decisions. If your mind is unchanged and one unfortunate breakage/lemon is enough to put you off, totally your right, but maybe stay away from TN figures in general if that's the case. The SIC line, and Gaim sub-line specifically, is not a problem.

No kidding, that solves the biggest problem with the energy riders, their boring fucking bow they all used.

I actually liked that the Genesis Riders all used the same weapon. It fits with the fact that Ryouma designed the Genesis Riders to be perfection. The Sonic Arrow was both a close range weapon and a long range weapon in one. Another weapon was unnecessary. The Beat Riders, on the other hand, were mostly test subjects for the development of the Genesis Driver. Them all using different weapons not only allows Ryouma to gain data on different battle styles, it also allows him to figure out what would be the perfect weapon for his perfect warrior.

That being said, I don't have a problem with they getting unique weapons for this line. I think it looks pretty cool actually.

Energy Riders, like the Gaim Riders already released/shown, look nice. I'll probably pick them up if they're released.

That Heart, on the other hand, really catches my eye. I was disappointed by Drive and that made me wonder how Mashin Chaser will turn out, but Heart looks delightfully insane. It was already an SICesque design anyways, but leaning into the SIC-ness of it even further (unlike Mashin Chaser) is something I appreciate.

Maybe it's because I'm not fully awake but Heart doesn't look too different and Drive's Roidmude designs were given an S.I.C look already :lol
