Batman Beyond is defintely my favorite, but unfortunately a lot of folks consider the ugly duckling of the series (since it wasn't canon and etc). Funny story about Beyond. It all got started because Kenner approached Bruce Timm, and asked whether he can come up with another series...cause they needed to sell more toys.

They're only instructions were: Whatever you do...don't make his suit black. Because black colored toys don't sell.

Lol. That set of instructions didn't last too long.

Yeah, the belt is a nice touch.

Since when is Batman Beyond out of canon? if I remember correctly various JLU episodes feature Terry, most notriously "Epilogue"

Beyond has always been and always will be my favorite Batman show, everything from the characters to the new gotham click perfectly with me.

Also that Opening, that opening indeed.

Before the Batman Beyond started, there was no such thing as Terry McGinnis and etc. There were plenty of "future batmans", but none of them involved the characters from Beyond. It was only a few years later, that they officially made Beyond canon and part of the official DC universe.

*edit*, yeah..that opening still holds up. R.I.P. Shirley Walker...she was the one that pretty much taught Danny Elfman how to compose for movies and etc. Before her, Danny Elfman didn't know how to read music. Great rocker, but not composer yet.

I thought Batman Beyond came from WB wanting a "Batman in high school" series.

Which also led to various jabs in "New Adventures of Batman" about networks wanting younger audiences.

So I just finished watching the Prime finale.

I thoroughly enjoyed Prime, even through some of it's not as strong bits. I'm really going to miss the show now that it's done.

I Know there's still a direct to TV movie after this, but see Cartoon Network? THIS is how you end a series.

Oh yeah. Because Batman's black suit was the worst! What kid wants to play with a superhero that's all dark and brooding while dressed in a black bat suit? :lol

You know what black costume was also a commercial failure? Darth Vader's! :lolol

I admit that 70% of my admiration for The Batman comes from me enjoying Jackie Chan Adventures way too much as a kid. Same artist. The Batman's last season was meh but the movie was pretty damn sweet. Batman Beyond was definitely better though. The start to the series sets the tone off just right, Bruce being forced to use a gun to threaten a criminal and then being ashamed and retiring. The movie for that show was also fantastic I still wish I didn't know the twist so I could be amazed again.

Sans the fetch quests, I loved Prime. I can see where others can dislike it (It's flaws are quite apparent, and a good chunk of Season 2 felt rather tedious (2 clip shows? Really? :I), with Season 3 feeling rushed because of it's reduced episode count), but I can't quite fathom how people can just loathe it, unless they're extremely petty in their issues.

The ending wasn't what I was hoping, but I hope the movie does give me what I was wanting.

I'm really psyched to see Newtralizer again in TMNT, apparently he is voiced by Danny Trejo which makes him twice as badass as he already is.

Very badass indeed.

And if Newtralizer used a machete to fight off some Kraang at one point...

Judging by how the show has been since premiere, they're no guests to references I don't think they'll be able to resist.

Having trejo as a voice actor would have been way coooler if he actually speaked, which he did not

Having Kingdom Hearts as my main Disney continuity makes the new Mickey shorts feel like Teen titans Go! by comparison.

Then again those shorts already felt like TTG.

Well, Legends of Korra is going on the same route as the Last Airbender did and is gonna pull a three season thing on us :3.

Duh, he's obviously going to speak next time we see him. This was just an intro to pump him up more, next time he appears is gonna be the "woah, it can speak" epsiode. Not a big deal.

Watched the last 4 episodes of Transformers Prime last night. Pretty good finale, after the lackluster 2nd season Beast Hunters was really good I must say.

I was pretty indifferent to be honest. It wasn't really around long enough for me to form a decent opinion of it.

I need to see the second season for Legends of Korra, just to see how twisted they plan to make the plot, hopefully we get another plot twist like at the end of Book 1 Air cause that was a fucking epic plot twist :3.

Depending on who you ask, that twist was either very awesome or very predictable (which it wasn't but a lot of people love to be right so they'll lie about it).

I'm looking forward to the next season as well. Hopefully early September.

It's actually being released in September.

Okay so I just watched some Adventure Time. WHAT ON EARTH IS THIS SHOW? We concluded that we can only watch a few episodes at a time for fear of being driven insane.

I'm excited that Korra and friends will explore new environments too. I love Republic City, but I hope to see what happened in the rest of the world.

We most likely will and Korra has finally accessed the Avatar State :D

But if she'll be in the Spirit World, the Avatar State won't matter...dun dun duuunnn!

It is a show past it's prime. The recent episodes are less charmingly stupid and frivolous and more "lol so random". The writers don't even have to try anymore.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this. I can't sit through Adventure Time anymore these days.
