Yes, because it was utter crap. I suffered through 40 dreadful episodes and there was no payoff. Instead, they copped out the whole vented aspect by making it some lame interndimensional hospital. So no one died or anything.

Just watched the fifth Kamen Rider Quiz today. It was silly and enjoyable as ever but I feel kinda bad for Meteor's actor having to sit by his lonesome in the Rabbit Hutch set.

We watched Wonderful last night, and honestly, it didn't live up to its name. It was rather bland and boring and did not even feel like it fit with the series. I will admit, the cobra/turtle/gator form was pretty cool, as was having all of the clones from Hino's one attack each use a combo form (and I wished they had done that at the end of the series), but other than that, the movie just moved at such a slow pace to the point that it was hard to get into.

Yeah, OOO and movies didn't have a lot of success. The only one that was really, really great was Mega Max.

Wonderful was only really enjoyable for the couple of times that Eiji gets to Birth, the Fourze cameo, and the final battle with all of the simultaneous OOO forms.

I kind of liked OOO Wonderful. It wasn't amazing, but it was a nice little movie. It also gave us rapping Ankh, and that's a win for everybody :lol

Man, what is up with these OOO movies? The OOO vs W movie was terrible. I liked the portions with Skull, but outside of that, it was bad. It's like the writers forgot that Gotou was not supposed to be Birth for like 30+ more episodes and they forgot about Ankh. Not to mention the entire Nobunaga plot was wasted and it just felt off, as if they were just trying to stretch out the running time. They should have just given Skull his own movie like they did with Accel and Eternal.

Yeah, the OOO part of Movie War Core is possibly the worst Kamen Rider movie ever. Part of that is that it's Toshiki Inoue just being Toshiki Inoue, with all of the crap that comes with that. The biggest problem, though, is that the whole film comes off like it was written really, really early in OOO's development phase by people who weren't working on the show. It really feels like the characters were written off of early draft summaries instead of following the characterizations that had developed on the show and with minimal understanding of how the characters worked.

Speaking of Fourze, we just watched the first three episodes. It is definitely a lot better than I thought it was going to be, but I still say the school is the worst school ever. The teachers do not do anything, as no actual high school has a lunch room without supervision. In fact, there only seem to be like three teachers in the entire building.

It's taking the anime school route, where the main character doesn't have to wear the uniform and basically has free reign to do whatever he wants.

Oh dude, the Fourze/OOO movie is heralded as one of the best rider films and best team-up films there is. It was pure genius.

I've heard that the first 10 episodes are kind of...Off, or something. I'm super curious as to what everyone means :lol

It's kind of a slow start, partially because it doesn't start with an origin but already has the two main Riders working as established heroes. It's worth getting through that, though, as the show really picks up by episode 15 and once you hit episode 30 it's just awesomely epic all the way to the end.

Being a comic reader, I'm kind of used to diving into a story without having the hero's origin or the narrative telling me everything, but I'm unsure how jarring this would be...Well, Ep 1-18 are downloading as we speak, so we'll find out :lol

Well we watched up to episode 10 of Fourze and right now, one of my biggest (minor) problems is there is no one yelling "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!" in every episode. I think this place is the worst school ever (what kind of school leaves a lunchroom unattended??) and there are a lot of WTF? moments, but the Zodiarts entrigue me. I wish they would stop cramming 2-3 new switches every episode and just have him develop the ones he has already. I mean, ten episodes in, he has 20 switches and three different forms. At this rate, he will have 20 forms and 200 switches by the end of the show. Nevertheless, I do look forward to watching more tomorrow. Is there any specific spot where the Fourze vs OOO movie takes place during?

Yes actually. It happens directly before the introduction of Meteor in episode 16. His appearance is teased at the very end of the film.

So should I watch it after episode 14 then? It would be weird to watch it inbetween 15 and 16.

If you ever hope for some interesting switch combinations or usage, prepare to be sorely disappointed.

Oh he had a pretty interesting four switch Limit Break near the end. Can't remember which episode exactly, though.

It slows down eventually. There are ultimately only 41 switches he can use (1-40 and S-1).

There are some neat switch combinations, but they're few and far between.

I really don't know what happened, and I'm pretty positive any exposition on the series was lost on me because I was still trying to figure out what happened in the scenes directly before it.
I'm fine with a lack of introductions. I hate pilot episodes anyway, but I was at least hoping for a form of exposition or something...

Haha. Sounds like my first time to watch it. I think I watch 8 episodes dropped it for about 6 month, then came back at episode 9 or so. Didn't feel like I missed a thing :)

Episode 2. Stuff goes down that, if it were episode 12 or something, would be pretty heavy. Instead I find myself tilting my head and hoping something is explained in some way.

I've completely caught up with Fourze. It's a really good show. I wonder how the last episode will be. The best moment so far was the introduction of Cosmic States. I hope the conclusion outdoes that.

I guess I am the only one that had no problem with the way Blade started. I mean, not every series has to show you how someone became the hero.

I'm fine with that, I really am. I'm not looking for Kenzaki's flashback for how he got the belt or anything. We already go the plot, so now I'm looking for the story for it to go around.

So I watched Kuuga episode 25-33 today. Overall, the show remains great, but the battles seem to be lacking for the most part, as they are like a minute long, and some episodes they feel tacked on and others it feels like there too much plot and not enough fighting. However, the two (well three, if you count ANOTHER freaking clip show) parter I just watched with the motorcycle Grongi was freaking awesome. That is probably my favorite story arc of the entire series thus far. Back to the negatives, I think my problem with the majority of the fight scenes is the music. It just does not feel like battle music. I mean, I love the opening theme song, but the rest of the music is slow moving even when he is fighting. Fights should have music that is energetic and puts you in the mood of the fight.

Anyway, that is all for now. I think I am going to go watch 34 and 35 before I quit for the night.

BTW, Blade has an awesome motorcycle chase scene like the one I just saw Kuuga.
