I can't say I'm surprised by this.

Capcom has pretty much ruined themselves by focusing on Street Fighter and DLC; despite what Matrixbeast would think. I really can't blame Marvel for wanting to branch out and do their own fighter, ala DC's Injustice series.

We also have Sturgeon's Law to take into account. 90% of people aren't big gamers so they'll settle for mobile games. Most people will play those games than with any other gaming medium even though mobile games are for the most part crap.

Welcome to the end of gaming. Say goodbye to controllers, depth, learning curves and all of that. Say hello to rubbing all over a greasy screen because that's what the public wants these days.

I can't believe I'm typing this. DLC has killed video gaming. Because there is so much controversy surrounding it casuals are jumping ship to phone games. What a way to see a once wonderful platform of entertainment die: By cheap garbage like Flappy Bird and Angry Birds.

No. Just no. Hardcore Gaming will not end just because mobile games are popular. If you think that, you're a fucking idiot.

You think the makers of games like, Mario, Call of Duty, Persona, Batman Arkham e.t.c. are going to stop making those games because 3 or 4 in a sea of a billion mobile games make a billion dollars? You've gotta be fucking delusional to say that.

While DLC has made it a fuckload more confusing and immature for our gaming medium, I wouldn't say that is the reason why casuals are moving over to phones.
